Take time , And you'll realize {starcatcher only!)
The weather was perfect, not too hit, not too cold. The place of the sun was just right, not high above, and not down low. This day was just perfect. It felt real, it felt right. Callista trotted agiley through trees and bushes, jumping iver rocks and logs. She weaved through a skimpy forest, then broke through a sunny clearing into the sunlight of the fine late afternoon.
She looked around, her light hazel eyes scanning the horizon. The stretch of green meadow went on for miles in each direction, the perfect place where she felt safe and untouched. She let out a shrill whinny, her voice carrying through the wind. She reared up, and started off at a light canter to the north.
She ran for a few miles before she tired, and arrived at a circular green belt, with a pond in the center, where she felt would be a good place to rest. She trotted over into the shade of the large pine tree that sat at the water's edge, and lowered her head, drinking from the refreshing spring water in the pond. She flicked her tail and looked around, wondering who else could be out in the wilderness on a fine spring day like this.

The long white tail brushed the wet grass, as his mane went to his shoulder blades. The night air hung in the sky, making the young stallion shiver. Winter was coming. And he still hadn't found the so called warm place that the beautiful mare had once promised him before she died. She promised him a life, her love, that could never be thought possible. He imagined them, having a foal or two, running through the field with no care in the world but fighting the sneaky coyotes, and the other stallions that dare challenged him. But she soon died from a diease and after that, the stallion was just lost. Not lost in the woods, just lost in his head. He had run away with her, but just ran into a life that would never be found and he blamed no one but himself. It wasn't her fault, it was his choice but he had wild in him and every night when he was in the barn, he'd dream about being in the wild not trapped in the same place. No endless skies just the same skies greeting you in the morning. He had to admit, his owner did own a pretty huge property, but no property could be any bigger than the one that was called the endless earth, the endless skies. Full of many horses that roamed free in harmony but this was just his beginning and he end up just being so lost, so confused what he should do next. So scared about moving on to the next mare when this mare he had come to love so much.
Austin heaved a bitter sigh, his breath fogged into a wide and wild circle of breath. He could tell it was bad, that winter was here. He could see his own breath. The hooting of an owl sounded from the trees. Austin's ears twitched as well as his nostrils and he stopped. He looked around and kept going on, catious steps one by one. He stopped, eyes narrowing to hear the rustling sound of the trees he looked around but saw nothing. Snorting, and thinking the wind was just playing a dirty trick on him, he moved on much faster. But never, would he show any creature the fear that was under his coat, and skin. He was shaking with the frightening feeling that someone was there. There it was again... closer and this time he could tell that this was not the wind that was fooling him. He looked over and slowly walked over to hear a deep snarl. He slowly walked over, eyes narrowed, muscels buldging. He looked to see the glowing hazel eyes of a wolf and a limb body. Snorting and whinnying, he lifted his forelegs off the ground, making the big dog's eyes turn to him. He barked and attacked, Austin landed right on it's back. He whimpered in pain then attacked again, getting and running claws down his back. He whinnyed and bucked up while Austin bucked wildly. The wolf finally let go, hitting a tree. It whimpered and started to try again but ended in a limp in his back leg. He turned and disappeared into the forest, dragging his leg. Austin was heaving heavily, sides falling quickly, breath foggy again. The wolf was now limp. Turning, blood on his hooves he decided to wash them at the pond just noticing a mare. He looked over at her once in a while but stayed quiet.

Castilla's ears perked up, her hazel eyes landing on the silver-looking figure of another horse approaching her in the early moonlight. She lowered her head, backing up a step or two as she watched the other equine approach her. She was hiding behind the thick tree trunk, watching the stud as he approached the pond, dilling his feet carefully into the crystal clear water.
She took one step forward, and her hoof skimmed a rock, making it roll forward and drop into the five foot deep water of the pond. She flinched, and blinked her hazel eyes as she saw the stallion look her way. She flicked her black tail around her flanks, and lowered her head in a submissive gesture, not saying a word, just staring blankly, blinking now and then.
