Night Whisper

It was a new concept to her, this living In the wild thing. The halter on her soft black face was still clean and white. The tall ebon draught moved with a silent and calm continence through the very large garden. Her liquid black gaze fell on each and every bush as the flowers brought the memories flooding back in like a curse, like a plague eating away at her flesh. The roses, so lovely a soft red color, only made her feel like the thorns were there to suck the blood out of any who passed by to give the rose its color. The thick orchards weren’t much better, reminding her of long afternoons under the peach trees as she watched the young master playing with the little white dog. The large Friesian may have once held herself with a very fine grace, but now she walked among the trees as if she were an old mare. It was an oddity indeed to see such a fine ebon fae, standing at a staggering 17 hands, to hold her head low and ears back like an old defeated broad. And still only four years old? It was clear that she had seen more than any her age ought to. Indeed perhaps more than any good natured pet as herself should ever have to face. The death of a most beloved master right before her eyes. And to be able to do nothing, to just lay there struggling to breath as she watched the blood leave his body.

Her eyes closed tightly as she fought back the tears from falling down her cheeks, arching her neck so that her muzzle drew close to her chest. What was she doing here? This would surely not make her any happier. What was she thinking, hoping that some foal would fill the gap after such a horrible tragedy? Life did not always equal death, especially if you had to watch it happen. But perhaps, perhaps it could help? Night wasn’t sure what sort of joy it was that the mares apparently felt. She had always been a human’s horse, not a broad mare. It was supposed to equal out, to lessen this never ending pain she felt deep in her chest that worked to slow her whole body down as she broke into tears. Anything to make this awful feeling go away. It was impractical to bring someone into a world that she herself knew nothing about. So far she had not run into trouble, but that could most certainly change soon enough. Especially in a place like this. But at least here it would make no difference. She had come here to be taken, to end this heat and have a foal. So no matter how brutal the stallion she would still get her wish. So what was there to fear?

From this place, at least. What about feral dogs or bears or challenging horses? Not that she had anything worth fighting for, but it could still happen. This was simply irrational. She was likely to die during the next winter anyway, for lack of knowledge of how to find food and survive. The Friesian was no weakling, but she had never needed to fend for herself before. It was all dressage shows for fun and late nights romping in the dark. Oh, all those lovely fire flies. The young master had declared that they were indeed fairies. And so it must be so. The young master… No, she could not fall on reason now. She would do anything to get rid of this ache. Anything. The large black horse slowed to a stop, staring out over the gardens again before giving out a shrill horse’s call. And now to wait.

ooc: Meep, anyone may answer I don't mind ^_^

Uncertainty Empty Re: Uncertainty

A paint mare canters along and abruptly stops at the sight of another mare. She was CLEARLY not born wild as she had a halter. She nickered a hello. Being born in the wild, and living there her whole life, she was not used to seeing a human horse in the wild. She watched the human horse blankly. She was paralized in awe. "A human horse...wow"she muttered under her breath.
