Purple Rain~
How i got here, im not quite sure.... i was in search of something...that, i dont know either. I saw other horses, but they werent like me... I was different. I neighed out, hopefully to call another creature like me. Heads of all the other horses shot up at my weird call. I hung my head and walked into the trees, embarassed.

Stripes looked around and neighed quietly. He was tired and had nowhere to go. He'd been around the garden of plenty for a while and never really felt that comfortable. There were horses, offical breeded... not Zebras. There were ponies, offical breeded not... Zebras. He grunted quietly, tail swishing behind him as he headed towards the lake. He loved going out on spring mornings and getting a sip of water when he could. The lake appeared into his site of view and he trotted faster.

I felt some kind of force pulling me out of the trees. I had to get to the lake. I kept walking, not knowing why i was headed there. I got up over a little hill, then stopped dead in my tracks. another zebra! This is what i came here for, he was what i was looking for. I neighed out to him, and started cantering down the hill.

Stripes cantered all the way down to the lake and bent his head down, taking sips... gulps of water. He sighed and then heard a communication pass through... something like him. Turning around he saw a female zebra cantering down the hill and he quietly whickered his greeting and went back to drinking quietly.

I stopped, a few steps away from him. im the only zebra on this whole island, and all i get is a nicker for a greeting? i thought to myself. Maybe i was just wasting my time, he probably didnt even like me....no one ever does. I hung my head and started walking away.

Stripes lifted his head and turned, quite satisfied with his drinking. He saw the female started to walk away and gave a small neigh of confusion, walking over to her and snorting. What was wrong? He was being nice to her.

"I ran up to greet u, and u didnt even come meet me, and i am the only female zebra on this island.." i sighed

Stripes shrugged. Why would he care if she was the only female zebra on the island? He didn't want to go any farther with her he just met her. "I didn't have to did I? I was getting a drink."

"im sorry, i over-reacted..." a few tears ran down my cheek, and i ran away in embarassment, wishing i would have thought before i just leapt out like that.

Stripes sighed quietly and turned around. Of course... she said she over-reacted then over reacted again how cool. He walked away and grazed on the green grass on the side of the hill.

I kept running and never looked back. He would never forgive me now. Maybe i didnt have to have a mate that was a zebra...a horse would be nice... I stopped when i was out of his sight and looked around, then let out a heat scent, calling all stallions

Stripes had learned to calm the feeling of a heat scent but anyway, that gave him the females scent to follow so he could apoligize for her crying because he didn't like her right away. "Hey again female," he snorted quietly. "I'm sorry for what I did."

"no....im the one who should be sorry.... Its just that i havent seen anyone of my own kind in ages...." i said, and looked down, to embarassed to look at him

Stripes shrugged. "No worries me either," he said cooly looking at her. "I was pretty happy to see my own kind here as well." he answered, hoping that'd make her feel better when really, he was.

I looked up with gleaming, blue eyes. "really?" i ask "thanks"

Stripes nodded. "I know right?" he asked and chuckled quietly before stopping and looked at her cocking his head.
