Michelle walked on the beach, digging her toes into the sand, then throwing it up, making it scatter. The sun set on the horizon, and the heat of the summer made the water mist, making it seem like a big bowl of boiling water. A black tear ran down Michelle's face, mascara trail following it. She slid the pink ring off her finger, and threw into the water, letting it rest in the ocean forever.

Rumor has it, he broke up with her just because she refused to lose her virginity. That wasn't it. He broke Michelle's heart when she caught him in bed with another. I mean, who does that?


Later, at home, Michelle sat in the sun room, looking at the stars, dreaming about him. Her sister came in a gave a bowl of vanilla ice cream, which Michelle thanked her for.
