Re: First signs
Lavara nodded at each of the men in turn, and a slight flicker of a smile crossed her lips as she set eyes on Magus. She listened intently to his words, then nodded once again.
"So we meet and 9." She repeated, making a mental note to get up hours before.
(So sorry! Brain fart)

Re: First signs
[ and you said im the one with official convos XD!! btw i have no idea what you're being sorry for ]
Magus left some time after her, and Tiruf stayed for a talk with Avan after he was finished with his notes.
Morning
Magus arrived with Tiruf, bouth are in the heat of a lively discussion. Tiruf was carrying an enormous traveling backpack and Avan was already there, his not-smaller-than-Tirufs backpack near him and loudly arguing with the transport supplier for the price it'll cost them. About 20 meters away stood an old light war vehicle with 4 places and hooks to hang bags from. In the meanwhile Magus and Tiruf, after putting his backpack down went outside the city walls, Tiruf held out his maul and Magus tried to cast a spell on it. The spell failed, causing the weaopn fly streight upwards and disappear in the sky. The two exchanged looks, Tiruf's amusingly meaning "Was that sepose to happen?" and Magus's shocked meaning "i have no idea what just hapened or why it happened", after a moment there was a high voice coming from above - the mauls leather bandage was a bit loose, making the air squize through a small gap and create that high sounds. Ofcourse no one noticed that, they were concentrated in a maul diving right at them. They bouth sprang away and the maul stuck half way of its hammer head into the ground. After the shock passed Magus was laughing and Tiruf was closer to roaring, Tiruf freed his maul from the ground and they bouth went back to Avan, the act seemed to hasten the bargaining to Avans favour.

Re: First signs
Swinging the leather bag over her shoulder, the elf pushed her way through the crowd, soon reaching the guild without a problem. Just as she stepped forward to greet the fellow warriors, a maul came plummetting out of the sky, landing with a thud into the ground.
On other circumstances, it wouldn't have been funny, but seeing as no one was hurt, Lavara started to laugh.
She was dressed her armor, but leaving out the helmet. It was short, and easy to move with. She didn't like the heavy, bulky armor that the dwarf seemed to favor. The metal she wore had been worked so it was almost plyable, molding to her body, a perfect fit. It was strong and resisted hits from a sword, and was quite easy to move around with.
A thin, yet strong leather belt was around her waist, strapping her small, deadly dagger to her hip. Her sword was packed away within the bag, along with her bow and arrows. She figured she would use them whenever she had the chance.
A few of the red feathered arrows stuck out of the bag, and she leaned down, organizing them, placing them with great care into the quiver. The bow had been a gift from the elder of her village, as she had departed from them to adventure. The bow was enchanted, each arrow flying straight and hitting its target without fail.
"Greetings."
The elf, with a small smile still on her fair face, glanced at Magus.

Re: First signs
[quote] are several corrections needed, or Lavara is highly misguided -
#what kind of bag is it? is it a big backpack that can contain many things and needs to be opened every time or a sack tied up on a stick carried over the shoulder? or more like a big pouch?
#how are they arranged in the bag?
#did you have another thing in mind when you wrote it? your own original ideas are usually the best!
Edit: I was a fool when i wrote this coment, i couldn't see through my own mistakes and i out it on you, im sorry. I want it to remain here as a sign of my mistake.
meaning the southern city gate, im sorry i wasn't clear about that... and thats why this doesn't fit:we meet at the main southern gate
also -soon reaching the guild without a problem
did she have one? thats important to say in the bios, i was thinking she would use her bow and count on her hunting skills, its an important piece of equipement, and if she walks around with a backpack its important to know coz that means she won't have to hunt all the time, but its harder for her to sneak and go through tight places, for exampleSwinging the leather bag over her shoulder
i don't get that part, a leather belt on the waist holding a dagger to the hip?leather belt was around her waist, strapping her small, deadly dagger to her hip
sounds like getting ready for a long jurney, and then -Her sword was packed away within the bag, along with her bow and arrows
so... #should she keep them handy ot stack them up in her bag?She figured she would use them whenever she had the chance

Re: First signs
After pushing her way through the thriving croud, Lavara was able to make out the form of the southern gate looming up ahead of her. Her keen eyes glanced around as she got nearer, and she was able to make out the forms of the party.
Just as she stepped forward to greet the fellow warriors, a maul came plummetting out of the sky, landing with a thud into the ground.
On other circumstances, it wouldn't have been funny, but seeing as no one was hurt, Lavara started to laugh.

She was wearing boots, with her dagger hidden away in the side of one. Her bow was strapped to her back, the quiver haging over her shoulder. The tops of brightly feathered arrows peeked out from the top of it. The bow had been a gift from the elder of her village, as she had departed from them to adventure. The bow was enchanted, each arrow flying straight and hitting its target without fail.
Her sword was strapped to her side, and the elves hand rested casually on it.

Re: First signs
Magus, noticing the attention replied "I don't know what happened", he stated in combination of aw and innocence and then pointing with his thumb behind his shoulder at the old vehicle he added "the trip won't be too long after all, a couple of days..." then Tiruf cut him off "Nah, much less, the first day and the secound days morning" he said with dismissal, waving his big hand at bouth of them. Now Avan was signaling for them to get into the car, so Tiruf swung his maul over his shoulders and behind his neck and walked towards it, inspecting it as he neared. Magus gestured to Lavara to come along and started off to the car as well. By the time they got there Avan started the engine and was mumbling something about new and unstable gnome technology. Tiruf took the gun station and Magus was waiting for Lavara to get on to the sit beside the driver "If you don't mind i'de like to take the outer sit" he explained.

Re: First signs
Lavara nodded, then swung aboard, sitting down next to the driver, who didn't look to happy that he had to drive a 'female' with all of the warriors. She shook her head, and lowered her eyes, glancing down at the floor below her feet.

Re: First signs
[ =O Avan is not too happy?! but i tried to make him so open minded! ]
Avan turned the vehicle and headed southwest, driving through the mist like a plane through a cloud. The mist gently pet their faces and the grass, new like it never saw a man or animal foot or a vehicle wheel or track before, passed them like an endless green carpet. They passed a hill to discover another coming through the mists, the wind making it easier to breath and the ground always smooth. After few frightening moment for the new travelers the ride turned to be relaxing, entrancing. Magus seems to be absorbing everything they passed as if he was daydreaming all of it, Avan was concentrating on the road ahead, calculating the time it'll take them and the distance they can cover, and looking for landmarks. Tiruf was checking the old gun and ammunition, apperently they had some left but the gun was rather rusty. He took a steel wool out of the cars toolbox and began rubbing it against the rust "we got us some fine weather today, we'll make a good distance, won't we Avan?" he said, swatting him on the back. Avan grumbled, shrugged him off and kept concentrating on the way ahead of them. Tiruf, not minding his friends behavior continued on about his talks "So where are we from? im from Glomfimbor, south Swynkeep, and you folks?". Magus answered first "Im from a village in the Valness, though im not entirely sure where its located".
"So we're bouth countrymen!" Tiruf announced like Magus was from a village next to his own "And what about you lady?" he adressed Lavara.

Re: First signs
Lavara listened quietly to the formal conversations, relaxing once they reached open ground, where there werent crowds of pushing, shoving, insulting people swarming around her. This felt more like home than anything else, being outside, being alone, reletivley speaking. The ride actually seemed not to bad, as Lavara didn't trust Vehicles. She prefered horseback, but that couldn't always be acomplished.
Suddenly, the elf snapped back to attention as she was adressed, and blinked once, breaking out of her daydream.
"Oh, sorry. What did you ask again?" Lavara paused, giving him a lopsided smile.

"Where are you from?" Tiruf asked in a wholly interested way, peering at her and waiting with anticipation.
[ i know its short, i have no ideas now. maybe you could just aviod the question and let me wrap the on-the-way thing so the group could get to the village? ]

Lavara shrugged. "I dont see why you need to know that." She said, guarded and a bit on edge. Tapping her fingers anxiously on her leg, she stared ahead.

Re: First signs
Haha! We have a mysterious lady! Don't worry, on the way back you'll sing us a song with that beautiful elven voice of yours" said Tiruf, then continued to clean the rusted up machine gun and hummed himself a traveling song he learned in his homeland, quietly and tenderly, making it sound more like a lullaby. The car drove on, passing smooth hills, tall shiny grass, swirling mists that felt like a soft hand on the cheek and accasional horse herds, tall healthy and proud, grazing or running. It was easy to fall asleep, there there was all the time in the world, the whole day atleast. At night Tiruf took Avans place as the driver, and by morning they were in the village, near Degvian Volcano. After a break for breakfast Avan went to talk to the village elder. When he came back he said that there were skeletons coming at night, and they killed several villagers already. It looked like they were coming from the ruined city by the foots of the volcano, but no one dared to follow them to their source, but more importantly - the reward was waiting as promised. So off they went with their old vehicle, the the ruined city of Degvian Volcano!
The group reached a walled ruined city. Most of the southern wall survived so it was hard to see the streets. The ground was gray with ash, and the ash was in the air, making it hard to breath with the smell of sulfur. Not just the floor was gray, in direct contrast to Orlyn no plants were growing here, everything was gray, and hte volcano hummed every once in a while, expressing his mind about the whole situation, and making sure it'll stay that way. The car stopped at the entrance on the city and there was nothing moving in view. Avan turned off the engine and everyone walked into a gate that didn't have doors anymore, just them the volcano rumbled and shook the earth, just slightly, but that was enough to make everyone drop the a crouch or fall on their knees. Avan, startled grumbled himself, and thats when an arrow got stuck into his shield, barely missing his head, the volcano probably saved him. He turned around, his shield raised, and saw only the wall, bare and gray. "On the wall Avan! Looks like the folks back there were right!" Tiruf pointed at the top of the wall, and there on the battlements was a skeleton with remaining of old armor, a bow and a quiver of arrows. Avan looked around quickly, found the staircase leading to the battlements and stormed it. Tiruf, seeing the skeloton was concentrating on Avan shouted "Go show him Avan!" when a hand patted his sholder, he turned around to see Magus, his eyes full of alarm and pointing toward the street that came right from the gate - there were four skeleton coming their way, all wielding swords. "Don't worry kid, piece of cake! Hey, why won't you show us something interesting, so far you proved to do damage" Tiruf said with a wink, and while Magus was concentrating Tiruf moved aside and started walking toward the group of skeletons slowly, waiting for the moment to charge in.

Re: First signs
Lavara suddenly realized that fighting the undead was different, very very different then fighting the living. There was no way she could tap into thier thoughts and make them do anything! With humans and other living creatures, they had a steady stream of thoughts, and the elf could usually weasle her own thoughts into it, making the thing do whatever she wanted it to do. But these skeletons had no thought trail that she could get into. Maybe it was hidden, and perhaps it was nonexistant, but she realized her mad fighting skills would be coming in handy. After the arrow had plummeted towards Avan, the elf heard Magus shouting and whipped around, her eyes quickly glancing to where his finger was pointed. A quad of skeletons, all carrying weapons, were making thier way towards the group. With swift and agile speed, Lavava quickly retreived her bow from her back, then grabbed an arrow, fitting it quickly to the string and pulling back, closing one eye to aim, then releasing the arrow, that went sailing through the air. The air reeked, and the elf had a hard time breathing, the air scorching down her windpipe and making her gag slightly. The arrow found its place in the chest of the undead, but though it slowed, it continued to make its way towards her.
Quickly firing another arrow, it stayed strong and pursed the chest of the enemy again, making the bones clatter to the ground, the skeleten falling.

Re: First signs
Magus tried to concentrate, but it didn't go so well, and just when he needed it. As he tried to summon his magic fragments of memories, thoughts, sensations and feeling washed over him faster than his mind could comperhand, he was confused, disoriented and lost in himself untill he found a feeling he knew from recently, and it was about magic... He gathered the power within him and brought it to the maximum of his capacity... That feeling, it became more clear, a recent spell... a maul, flying with great force, enough to get burried in the ground halfway of its hammer side... Lavara was shooting arrows... Magus channeled the energy through his hands, and suddenly instead of the world passing by as if it wasn't real he became alive in that world, and everything looked as if in slow motion, or maybe it was him that was fast? He didn't have the opportunity to enchant anything at that moment, but like a faithful promise he knew this moment would come. Lavara let out another arrow [ her secound ] and there it was, in the air... Magus sent his spell to the arrow in its most blunt, raw form of energy and the spell jumped from his hands, making the arrow its host. When the arrow struck the skeleton the magic erupted into it, making the bones fly like bolts and knocking the other 3 skeletons down. Tiruf didn't miss the chance and charged at them, taking the first one when he was on the ground, smashing his head with his maul striking it like a golf ball to the other side of the street, the secound skeleton he took in the chest when it rose. Meanwhile Avan his secound arrow scratch in his shield and bashed his metal club into the skeleton archers skull, at that moment a small bone got stuck in a gap of his armor. He wrenched it out and grumbled, watching the fighting scene as he neared, ready to help when needed.

Re: First signs
Lavara's eyes widened slightly as she saw Magus concentrating, and a splitting, blinding light erupted from his hands, going into the arrow that sank deep within the skeletons chest. He splintered, knocking the other three sideways, and Turuf leaped forwards, starting to hack away at them as if there was no tomarrow.. Which in relaity, there wouldn't be unless they killed these enemies.
She raced forward, letting out a scream of fury, unsheathing her sword and holding it above her head, the cold metal glinting in the light. Her sword swept through the torso, the same time Turuf swung. Thier weapons clashed, and the skeleton fell, Lavara's sword stuck slightly. As she pulled it free, she cried out in pain, feeling something cold and sharp slice into her arm. Whirling around, she saw the culperate and swung, favoring her arm slightly, her sword sticking into his chest. Pulling it free with a grunt of pain, she soon splintered its skull with a powerful downstroke. Panting, she slumped softly, her strong arms coated with sweat, blood rivuleting from her wound. She eyed it warrily. The cut was deep, but at least it was straight. She placed a palm over it, swearing under her breath as the warm sticky fluid seeped out from under her fingers and dripped onto the ground.

Re: First signs
Avan was coming down the stairs mumbling under his breath "Darned mage. Mind those around you! Exploding skeletons are not the thing for close combat!" he was shouting once it was clear there were not more undead in the immidiate vicinity. Magus blushed and hushed his appologies, being actually quite proud in himself, which caused him to be somewhat unsure. Tiruf was checking Lavara, noticing something was wring with her "Hey, whats going on there lady?" he asked but Avan waved him away, seeing the events from afar, he went to tend her wound now that his spirit was calmed. He forced Lavaras hand away from the wound to examine it "Well, seen worse from this" he said completely calmly and pressed Lavaras hand back on the wound. He held her for a moment to see how she deals with the pain, and when he figures she managed it he took out a bandage and wrapped it around the wound, whispering few words to his god made the wound close but it would still hurt and probably make a fine scar. "Better now?" he asked, waiting to see if she reacts well to the healing. His god was a god of the good, and if Lavara was slightly evil the prayer wouldn't have any effect, that, or it might have the opposite effect in a moment.

Re: First signs
Lavara winced a tiny bit as her hand was forced away from the wound, the blood starting to flow again as she lifted her hand. Eying the wound warrily, she watched as he bandaged her arm carefully, saying how he had seen worse. Actually, she was quite lucky. That could have been somthing more important, like her head. She quickly thanked him, and frowned slightly as the wound stopped hurting a tiny bit, though it still stung.
Nodding, she wiped her bloody hand on her thy, then examined her bow. She quickly leaned down and plucked the arrows out of the skeletons. She noticed that on one arrow, the feathers were red, as they were before, but the one that had had the enchantment, its feathers were a bright blue. She cautiously picked it up, then stored it in her quiver along with the rest of them.

Re: First signs
Avan took his club in his hand "Alright, we should go the the town hall, i can feel the evil emenates from there. Im walking first and magician, you're right after me. Tiruf You're next, walk on the other side of the street and Lavara you're behind Tiruf or between us, no need for this to repeat" he said, pointing for Tiruf to walk parallel to him.
Magus went to Lavaras' quiver to inspect the arrow he enchanted. It was easy to spot - it was the only blue feathered arrow she had, and it had the leftover radiance of a used magic. As his fingures toutched the arrow the now empty magicah enchantment used his energy to fill itself and as it happened the feathers glowed a weak blue. He recioled with a a soft "Aaa" of surprize and added "it filled itself from my energy!" and pointed an accusing finger at the arrow, thinking to himself "I can't actually accuse an item i made, maybe it'll be better next time", than he went to take his place behind Avan, thinking of the next spell he should try, this was becoming very exciting for him.
[ your arrow is rechargable and have to be recharged for rapis use of its new power. If you don't recharge it, it'll suck magical energy from its serounding and you could use its power once per day. it requires relatively very small amount of magic to recharge it, and even less if the magic was only recently spent. ps - you can add it to the bios - rechargable shockwave arrow? ]

Re: First signs
Lavara listened intently to Avan, quietly exepting his plan. She didn't voice her opinion much, and now wasn't the time to speak up anyhow. Striding into line, she felt someones hand brush against her back, and glanced over her shoulder to see magus, who was inspecting the arrow with intensity. She couldn't see, as the quiver was strapped to her back, but somehow she knew that he was filling it with magic, as it made the back of her skull tingle. "You should do that to all of them." Lavara commented. Saying that was a compliment coming from her, as she usually didn't speak expet for crude insults, or quiet whispers.

Re: First signs
Magus was doubtful "Im not sure, thats a new magic to me, and you saw what happened with Tirufs' hammer. Besides i didn't mean to do that, it came out instinctively" he pointed out, then he helpfuly added "Maybe after i'll experiment more with it". He walked to take his place behind Avan, focusing his powers so he won't have to delay his next spell with all those distructions he experienced when casting a spell. The group was off to the main street which wasn't as long as they thought - after the first turn they discovered the road was blocked by a wall of cold basalt and huge boulders that one of them destroyed half of the house that stopped it and got stuck there, making the wall smooth and nearly impossible to climb on. There were visible skeletal parts popping out of the wall, apperently the rock avalanche took lived, or maybe no-lives with it. With no other coice left they went through the side alleys, climbing over crates, empty water barrels and wagons, sometimes forced to walk in single file, and sometime having enough space so Tiruf could swing his maul widely without fear of hitting any living person. It was in one of the narrow alleys, when Avan took the lead and Tiruf the back that the skeletons attacked, coming in a swarm. Avan help his shield high and Tiruf readied his battle hammer, they've been discovered, and they're going to be put to the test. Magus started shaping the energy within him when he remembered he had a companion between him and the enemy, he called out for Avan quickly, letting the dwarf see the frost materializing in the air close to his fingertips. Avan ducked as low as he could and Magus let a stream of energy out of his hands, the energy catching the frost qualities and becoming liquid ice that cought to everything in its way - the skeletons, the ground, even the street walls. Avan got up with frost biting the back of his helmet, he didn't feel it however "We must push forward! as soon we'll get out of here the better!" Tiruf didn't think that way, the alleys let them fight one enemy at a time, but there was no time to argue and they needed to keep eachother close. He turned and ran after Avan who smashed the frozen skeletons. After about 15 meters the ice faded and they got stuck by more skeletons coming their way. "Can you pull that trick off again?" Avan asked Magus, but all Magus could do was to breath hard and wave with his hands, he couldn't, not right now. Avan turned to the coming skeletons, as the magical ice dissipated a sword struck a shield and a club crushed a bony hand. From the other side of the group things weren't that simple - while one of the skeleton holding a two handed sword charged right at Tiruf an archer was taking aim with more skeleton soldiers coming behind him and Tiruf was looking desperately for something to shield him.
[ in case its not clear the order is as followed: back<- Tiruf - Lavara - Magus - Avan ->front
and im sorry again for taking that forward like that, it just flowed out, im sorry ]

Re: First signs
As chaos started to break out in the small party, Lavara backed her way away from the group. She knew, or rather hoped that they could fight without her. She would have to create chaos in the enemy's starting point, that way the attack would lessen on the party. She pushed past her fellow travelers, confronted with a line of the skeletons, all bearing sharp weapons. With a hoarse cry, she pushed off the ground, jumping upwards and landing on a stack of old crates. They shook benieth her weight, threatening to fall, but she leaped off just in time, making sure she kicked at the pile as she dropped downwards. The boxes tumbled downwards, falling between the enemy and her party. She hoped it would stop them for a little while, and landed in the group of undead. Though tacky, she unsheathed her sword, then spun in a wide circle, holding it out in front of her. The blade neatly sliced through the torsos of some, making a few stagger backwards to weave out of the way. "Go, Run!" Lavara shouted, gesturing for the group to move forward as quickly as possible. All at once the enemy drew thier swords, coming at her.,

Re: First signs
Just when Lavara jumped from the crates the skeleton archer released his bow, and the arrow stuck into one of the crates. The charging skeleton tried to strike her but missed and got buried under the pile, by the time he got out Tiruf smashed him to pieces. She landed in the midst of the undead group, whirling and shouting when one of the skeletons parried and slashed at her left arm, a vicious and deep cut from and old and rusty bastard sword. The skeleton continued his onslaught with a downward powerful cut while others joined him... [ if you want you can take control over other characters, includng Magus, i think i'll usually approve ]
Magus was exhausted, he did try a freeze magic before, but not on a number of enemies and on a large aream or any area for that matter, all he did was to freeze a dead leaf that he found on the ground. Avan was blocking and smacking, killing skeleton after skeleton, but it didn't look like this place was short of the bony undead, they kept coming at him, he kept his defense high and timed his strikes, trying not to get tired too quickly but still keeping his stand without retreating. While Tiruf was trying to clear the boxes so he could drag Lavara out of the mess she got herself into Magus noticed a bright shining light reflecting from a long steel blade, he forced himself to focus and quickly shot a firebolt (=small fireball) at its general direction, immidiately regreting he didn't took enough care to aim, but disoriented enough to understand he couldn't even if he wanted to.

Re: First signs
"Go you idiots!" Lavara shouted, just as something sharp and cold slashed its way into her arm. Recoiling in pain and anger, she screamed out a hoarse battle cry, her voice cracking slightly.Something else tripped her, making her fall to the ground. She looked upwards, to see the point of a spear coming down, fast, aimed towards her heart. She desperatly rolled out of the way, the spear striking solidly into the ground mere inches from her body. The elf easilly jumped to her feet, her muscles whipcord tight, and lashed out with her fist, popping a solid punch into one of the skeletons jaws. That made it stagger backwards, and Lavara swung her sword skillfully over her head. As the metal caught the sun, glinting brightly, it caught the attention of the skeletons near to her. The elf used that advantage to pull out her dagger, aiming it towards the chest of one. As he looked upwards, it stabbed deep within his chest, and he fell to the ground. That again caught the attention of the others. Lavara's arm was unusable at the moment, and it hung limply, any movement causing a searing pain. Warm red blood gushed out of the deep, ugly cut, but she couldn't focus on that now. With a grunt of exersion, she whirled and was able to take down three in a single stroke. Then, looking closer at thier bodies, she saw that thier backbone was really the only thing that was keeping them upright and standing. She leaped into the air, packing a solid side kick at the back of one, and it snapped under her heavy boot, falling to the ground.

Re: First signs
Magus got back to his senses, regaining controll over himself and was able to focus on the battle again, he was shooting small elemental and raw force projectiles, sometimes killing a skeleton, and sometimes knocking it to the ground. Just as the skeleton Lavara put her dagger into stood to face her a commotion came from the main street and into the the more narrow street the group was fighting in. Far in the edge of the alley, visible to all there was a lance, the steel gray, sharp and well crafter, leveled tp pierce every living thing that came in its way. The sound of hooves was clear as thunder and a proud armored horse head could be seen above the small army of skeletons that gathered in the side street. The coat of the horse wasn't visible for the armor and flags it was covered in, and the figure sitted on teh horse wasn't recognizable except her male features expressed by the heavy gray steel armor it was wearing. The battle seasoned plate was in excellent condition with many scrathces, but like the spear ad the horses' armor it didn't glister in the dimmed sunlight. The horse stood in the entrance of the street, the figure seemed to inspect the happening. Without a sigal, not a sound or movement the horse began to walk, then to trot and soone was in full charge ignoring the undead. Everyone could see, and if they were too busy they could feel and cold tingling chill under their skin and on their scalp - the detail that stood out the most about the rider and his horse, the one thing no one, not even a dragon could've ignored, was the two sets of glowing red eyes glaring coldly out of metal slits that belonged to the two of them. The first to notice was Magus as he wasn't as busy with the fighting as the rest of them. He tapped Avan on the shoulder once, and after a moment of waiting for a response he tapped it again, and then again saying "A... Av... Avannn..." his voice was shaky and he couldn't quite bring himself to say what he was feeling. Avan gave one look backwards suffering a hit on his shield, and without a word started hacking at the skeletons from his end of the alley frantically. Tiruf was much quicker to react - he noticed the figure just a moment after Magus, and with a rush of adrenaline he jumped over the last large crate that stood in his way, smacked the skeleton that stood between him and Lavara and cought her by the collar of her leather armor. Her weight didn't seem to effect him in his rush, he heaved her to the crate, jupmed to the other side and carried her running as fast as he ever could, ignoring the fact that she could still run. The moment he got to the crate and heaved Lavara over it he shouter "Avan! DEATH KNIGHT!".

Re: First signs
As the elf was swinging her sword, trying to keep the skeletons away from her, she heard Magus's voice behind her. And it sounded timid. She suddenly felt the hair on the back go on end,and tiny goosbumps appeared on her arms. A tingling feeling spread over her, then adreniline coarsed through her veins. She leaped around, holding her sword out in front of her, her eyes widening at what she saw.
"Tiruf!" She started to say, when the horse charged towards them, tossing his long black mane, the ribbons and flags that draped over his hide flapping out behind him. She felt someone grasp her leather collar, and start to haul her away from him. Lavara couldn't help but let out a startled shriek, but muffled it. She tried to help with her weight by trying to run, but he didn't seem to be having a problem. He heaved her over the crates, and she stumbled to her feet, then skidded to a halt. Swearing loudly, she continued to run, slicing at the enimies that were in her path.
