I jerked awake and ran to the den knowing something was coming and might hurt our pup's. I ran straight into it before it got into the cave. I laid on the pup's as the male tried to tear me from the pup's, I snarled and bit at him but his jaws were far stronger then mine. He pulled me inches from the pup's but I'd claw myself back to them before he could get to them,"DYAMI!" I shouted his name knowing I couldn't keep the pup's safe without him

I was bleeding from numerous bite's. I still laid on the pup's keeping them protected from whatever that thing was, I growled with each throbbing pain from that wolfs jaws had ripped into my back, neck, and rump

I grabbed both of the pup's and ran off away from everything not wanting the pup's to see it. I knew a hidden den I had used a long long time ago. I knew Dyami could find the den with mine and the pup's scent's, I curled around them making sure nothing could get to them.
