I galloped around the track. It felt like I was flying. My Jockey slowed me down and put me in the pasture. I ran as fast as I could to the middle of the pasture. I looked at my jockey and reared up. I was different from all the other horses except one. All the horses were brown or black except for me and one other horse. The other horse was Diablo. He's just like me. Anyways, I was the fastest horse on the ranch. I found an apple tree and would leap up and pull down an apple. Though maybe later. I lied down in the shade and went to sleep.

I was one of the exsersize riders at Gogwood Creek Racing Ranch and riding one of there race horses in training. Slowing her to a stop I turned to walke her through the gap in the track rail. Dogwood was more like a large training farm with difrent kinds of training facilitys for young horses. Dismounting I waited for the next horse. Working part time as a groom I had difrent things to do, taking care of most of the three-year-old's where one of them. After the work outs I went to the back pastures to check on the horses, walking with the farm dog Seb his tail wagining I saw the horses lying under the big apple tree ketching some winks. Leaning agianst the pasture fence I watched the horses-

I woke up and stood up. I leaped up and grabbed an apple then ate it. I saw the jockey and went running as fast as I could up to him. I leaped over the fence and galloped infront of the mansion where the owner of the ranch was sitting. He looked up and his jaw hit the deck. He started to yell at the stablehand that was showing him Diablo. I soon ran all the way to the race track. Not the training track but THE track...the track where the horses go to race eachother. There was a race today and I raced them alongside the fence. It was fun until the kill-joys came (The stablehands). I thought to myself There goes my racing career. I was only in training too. I'm never going to get to race in a real race now. They were walking me to the stable when I felt a pain in my leg and fell to the ground. I had gotten a small leg injury when I had jumped the fence and made it worse by running all over the Ranch.

(The ranch also has trails and a lake and creek. I forgot to put them on. But I think you know what they look like.)

I watched the mare jump over the fence and to the track. Though grooms caught her and took her back to the stables it seemed something was wrong. The mare (is the horse a mare or a stallion/colt/) was put in the stall by the front entrance of the training barn. They had a vet check up on her to make sure not permanit damage was done-

(mare)

My leg was in so much pain to the point that I sat down like a dog to get the pain out of my right front leg. I was hoping the injury wasn't that bad but....the vet said different. (you can come up with what happened)

(sorry about it being so short. I'm feeling brain dead at the moment)

"Is it a fracture doc?" the trainer (Allen) asked. "No just a chip in the right front knee, but she will need sugary to fix it." He said "It's not life threatning but it could take her out of training." He said. "Let her rest for now I need to talk to the owner and keep her stable as well." The vet left with Allen leaving two grooms to take care of her and myself to watch her.

I sat there then I stood up and started to get up and walk out to the pasture. I was limping but I needed to get tah apple on the tree so I could Impress Diablo. I opened the gate and limped to the tree. I reached my head up but I couldn't get the apple. I was unusually fat that season and soon I fell on my side feeling a piercing pain in my side. I whinnied as loud as I could and hoped that one of the stable hands would come.A little bit after I had given birth to a filly. She was grey like me. I was pregnant when they had first gotten me and throughout the season I was progressing through the pregnancy. The old owners forgot to tell them that I was pregnant so this was a surprise for everyone.

(ok Cool )

The grooms cleaned the foals nostrils so she could breath and her ears so she could hear as well. They beded the stall down and made sure it was warm and confedable for the foal and mare-

The next day the filly was running and playing with the other foals in the pasture. I would race them alongside her and would always let my baby win. Then in the middle of a race I jerked to a stop and ran to the edge of the fence. I saw the trainer. I whinnied as loud as possible and started running back and forth. My filly came up to nurse but I pushed her away. The stablehands started to panic when one of them saw me push her away.

Grooms found it hard to keep the brood mare from shovering her foal around, she should be more gentle with the filly and the owner and trainer thought about replacing the mare with a nures mare one who would be more gentle and caring for the filly. They day the filly was pushed the head groom had had enough of the silly game. He and two grooms tried to corner the mare and keep the situation calm by conering the filly and lead her form the pasture. They tried to ketch the mare first by putting a halter on her and leading her out of the pasture-

When the stablehands put a halter on me and I saw that they were taking away the baby a began to buck and jump and start acting like a rogue horse. I got out of their hands and made a run for the baby. I cared about her I just couldn't nurse her otherwise my training season would be totally ruined. I galloped a quickly as I could to her and jumped over the stablehands, past the filly and ran back around the front of the filly and angrily whinnied at them. I looked back at her and gently nuzzled her then jerked my head away and glared at the stablehands. I was letting out huffs of air to show them that I was angry and wasn't afraid to be aggressive and attack.
