He looked to the sky and snorted. The sun was out and his heavy mane made his neck sweat, covering it in lather. Bakalo trotted over to the deep stream, slowly stepping in and going under, loving the feeling of the cool water washing over him.

When he climbed out of the wonderful water and dried himself, he looked around for his best friend. He sighed and reared, picking a red apple from the tree above him. He ate that, and reared again, this time getting one for her.

Kaira trotted through the meadow happily moving in circles and nickering softly to let everyone know she was happy today. She then whinnied in her joy and chased her tail flowing in the wind.

Bakalo trotted over to her. "Kaira! Hey, hows it going?" He smiled and shook his mane out, forelock covering his eyes. "It seems like forever!" He nickered, gently nudging her. "Okay," The mature stud said as he brought her the apple.

Kiara looked over to see her best friend coming over and bringing her over an apple. "Aw your so sweet." she she said and took the apple and ate it quickly.

"Yes, I am, but you're sweeter." He said and laughed. Bakalo had to admit, he had a small crush on her. "Wanna go for a swim?" His tone mature, but still had the excitment of a foal.

Kiara looked at him and rolled her eyes. "Don't use that on me." she sneered playfully. "But I know I am."
She giggled happily and heard him. "Um, sure." she said looking at the sky. "But I guess it's gonna rain... what would you rather do?"

"Hmm...." He said with a knowing glint in his eye, "How about we..... Oh, thinking is too hard! How about you choose?" The last sentence was a joke and he flicked his tail.

Kiara thought for a second. "Hmm... how about we enjoy the rain on our coats?" she asked thoughtfully. "I love that suggestion."

He nodded and laughed, "With fur like this its a wonder we don't die of heatstroke." The stallion tosses his heavy mane and looks at her. "Have you ever had a mate before?" Bakalo put his head down and looked at her sheepishly.

Kiara shook her head. "Um.. no I haven't... you should know." she murmured quietly, and looked up at him.

He nodded and lifted his head, but lowered it again and looked away. "Has there ever been anyone you wanted to be your mate?" He sucked in his breath, hoping he didn't ask a stupid question.

Kiara was confused... why was he asking all these questions? She sighed. "Yes... but I turned them down." she said quickly. "Why are you asking all these questions?"

[Harley]

"You're my best friend, don't I have a right to know?" He chuckled and nipped her shoulder gently. "I'm surprised more haven't tried to get you to be their mate, you are very lovely you know." He lifted his head to the air as a gently down pour started.

Kiara nodded. "Thanks! I know that already." she said in a girlyish voice and trotted, hitting his flank.

"Feisty are we?" He laughed and stopped her with a tug on the mane, which was easy. "You're not going any where that easy..."

Kiara pushed him over and laughed. "Off course I am." she said and trotted away.

He got back on his feet and easily followed her. Bakalo pushed her over and stood over his friend. "Don't try to best me!" He laugghed and took of running.

Kiara took a blow in his stomach and slid from under him. "I'm not." she said in a singsongy voice.

He oofed at the kick and laughed. "You got sharp hooves girl." He laughed, nipping her rump. Kaira turned him on, all the time, but he didn't want to admit it.

Kiara turned over to him and laughed. "Um, I know that." she said and shrugged just to turn him more on [she didn't know she did] She rubbed her flank against his.

He sucked in his breath as his tool slowly slipped out of the sheath, "Kaira," He laughed, trying to hide his his horsehood.

"Balko." she replied letting out a heat scent... she liked him and hopped he would soon know. But she never let him.

He sucked in her wonderful scent and clenched his jaw. "Oh Kaira...." Bakalo trotted towards the creek, hiding his shame. He didn't know she liked him.

Kiara shook her head. "Yes?" she asked and drank water, her throat parched.

"You just smell.... so good." He said shyly and nuzzled her."I-it was stupid for me to say that...."
