Buffalo was walking throughout the Garden. It was quite, all there was, was the effect of the wind. He sighed and sat down. No mare he could claim.. no one was here to be with him... he lowered his head, looking at the ground.

Broken trotted in, whinnying loudly, not noticing a stallion in the area. She bucked playfully and romped around like a yearling, enjoying life for the moment.

Buffalo sighed, noticing a mare near-by. He saw her bucking playfully, and chuckled to himself. He whinnied and nickered, so she would notice him. He sat there, waiting patiently.

Broken lifted her ears, interested. She turned her head in the direction of the nickers and snorted, shaking her head wildly. She trotted over regally and stopped in front of the stallion, looking him in the eyes and then examining the rest of him. "Hi!" she said enthusiastically, jumping up slightly. "I'm Broken. But I prefer the name I go by: Mariposa. Means butterfly in Spanish."

Saffron ~ I walked across the meadow, my small body almost floating across the ground. I saw the mare and then the stallion, raising my finely shaped head and nickered gently. I stopped lowering my head and grazed. I pulled the seculent grass blade chewing on them, with an almost heavenly movement of the mouth. My coat was White with patches of a light brown. My long white mane was long and had slight curls in it.

I walked closer to them and nodded my head, " Hello there.." I said as I trotted up to them, my head bobbing with a beautiful sway.

"Hey!" Broken replied. She didn't really see the newcomer as competition, for she was one of the younger, less experienced mares.

Buffalo nodded at the new mare and he nickered softly to her. He smiled and bowed his head. "Hello young lady." he murmured softly.

Broken fell silent for a moment before looking around and tilting her head slightly.

Saffron ~ I nodded my head, to both of them and smiled. I shook my head and neck,my mane resting back onto my neck, I looked at the mare and smiled. She looked older then me, she would most likely be more experianced in life than me.

I was mature but I had my moments, I loved to run and jump, it was something I had become particularly good at however I was hindered when it came to deep water. When I travelled with a herd of young females we had come across a river, it had no shallow bits and they continued on and left me standing there, that is how I became a solitary horse. I liked it...No - one to tell me how to behave or what I must do, it was brilliant
