A Fox Love Story

Donner sighed. She peered through the cage. She was where all foxes were took; Fox 'Heaven'. She was sent there because she had a special talent. Was being able to open traps and doors a talent? Not to Donner. She dragged herself to the back of the cage. Then, a hand grabbed her and took her to a room. He stuck her foot in a trap. Donner yelped and opened the trap with her paws. She ran over to a corner and shivered. Donner was once again took to a room and this time she was told to open a door. Finally, after all the 'shows' were over, Donner was put in a window over a sign that said, " FOX OPENER, 50$! " Donner sighed and laid down. Many people passed by and pointed, but none of them came in and bought her. No one wants me. I might as well face it... Donner curled up and fell into a light sleep.

Courage

Courage got throwed into a cage "Get in there mutt!" Shouted the man from behind him. When the cage door slammed Courage whinned. He sighed looking around at all the talented dogs and wild animals. Yes, he was talented. He could show human emotions and break dance. He didn't actually call it a talent.... His eyes reflected on each animal when he came along one... She was a beautiful red fox and looked like just his type. "Hello," He barked hoping that would get her attention.

~Donner~

Donner turned her head and looked at the fox. "Hi. I'm Donner, who are you?" She waited for the man to put down him so she could smell him.

Courage

Courage was put down for a sale right by Donner. He smiled and his tail slowly wagged. "The names, Courage." He says and smiles showing off some of his moves to impress. "So what are you here for?" He asked.

Donner

"I can open traps, and doors." Donner stared into his eyes then a man came and took her away again. She was took to a room. The door was closed and locked. Donner was laid on a table. She looked around shivering. A man with a white lab coat and a long needle with green, bubbly liquid walked up to her. "Say Good night Donny." He began to press down the handle on the needle.

Courage

Courage looked as she got tooken away. He heard the man and rushed into the room. He snarled. "Don't worry, Donner I'll save you." He went over to the humans and got there attention. "Come and get me..."

Donner

A human began chasing Courage, and Donner grabbed the man's neck and then jumped down. "Lets go Courage!" She began to run torward the door.

Courage ran quickly leading the way.

Donner ran, hoping Courage was behind her. She jumped through the window, glass piercing her face and body.

Courage jumped and went through the window quickly. He followed behind. He kept her pace so good, that he was already by her side panting.

Donner

Donner stopped when they were in the forest. She was panting like crazy! Then she realized something. "We're free! We're actually free! " She jumped around yipping happily.

Courage

Courage smiles and chases his tail. He runs around and bumped into, Conner. They tumbled around until they touched noses. Courage widens his eyes in embarassment.

Donner

She smiled when their noses touched. Then she licked his nose. Donner then bounded off looking for somwhere to call home.

Courage at first watched her bound off and then he was just, close behind.

Donner finally finds a small, deep den. She begins to bring in sticks, grass, and weeds into the den. When she has a big bunch of weeds and grass in her mouth, she moitons for Courage to help too.

Courage helped her carry up more than one stick at a time with his tail up and his eyes closed.

Donner

Donner grabs a bit more weeds before she hears someone calling "Courage... Donny..." Donner turns to Courage. "We need to hurry!" She shoves the rest of the weeds into the den before going in and saying, "Come on in Courage."

Courage runs in standing up first. "Ladies First..." He smiles and waits for her...

Donner blushes then dives into the den.

I walked amoung the trees, seeing two small figues dive into a hole.... I stop and stand tall, one eyebrow raised in confusion, i snort and smiled, rolling my eyes..... Seeing that it was Donner and Courage, i trolt over to them both and pocked my head in... I leaned forward behind Donner, i smirked " BOO!" i yelled from behind her, and started to laugh, rolling around and then falling into the hole, with a dull thud.... " Ow, that hurt " then i chuckled, getting up and shaking my fur..... " Heyy guys, thought you got but in the jallsell...." i chuckled slightly.... Looking at them, i stood there and looked around the large hole.... I then turned to Courage smiling and then Donner smiling again.......

Courage

Courage kept Donner warm by getting ontop of her and his warm fur. He looked confused as this unknown fox came. Courage growled at the fae and stepped infront of Donner. "Do I...know you?" Just meeting Donner was one thing but an unknown wolf? Wow! This one must ate coca puffs for breakfast.

Donner

Donner felt a warm feeling but as she saw the fae... she snapped. Donner got to her paws and leapt to the back of the hole. She dug until a hole as big as her tummy and as long as her tail was completed. Donner flicked her head torward the fae and grabbed her tail and dragged her into the hole. Sticks and stones were thrown over the hole. When she was done, mud was stitched over the top. "Want somewhere to stay? Fine! Stay in that hole and survive on worms and leaves! Spend the rest of your life in darkness! "

Courage

"Come on...Donner," I bark and pad into the forest to find some where else to go

Donner follows after Courage, looking back at the hole but quickly turning her head back and trotting beside Courage.

I sniffed the air and then began to pad faster. "A storm's coming," I bark and the pad became a run.
