~Sunset~

Sunset tumbled out of her moss-bed. She landed in a pile of leaves- why were these even here? She grumbled something under her breath and dumped the orange, yellow and gold leaves under her bed. Sunset glanced up at the ceiling; another day; another horrible day working at the beach as a Life guard. "My shifts always the longest." It was true. She worked 5 hours; most of the time diving under the blue glistening water saving little pups from coral their swim trunks got stuck on. Sunset opened up a wooden drawr(sp?) and pulled out a button shirt, a t-shirt, and some shorts. She pulled them on, knowing that the water was like her shower. She sighed once again and slammed tge drawr shut. She draped a swim suit- t-shirt and mini pants- over her shoulder. Sunset stumbled out her bedroom, out the living room, and out the door.

Sunset trotted along the road, red cars zooming past her, splashing the rain from last night all over her. By the time she was at the beach, she was soaking wet and freezing. But, the hot summer son glazed apon her, quickly drying her up. Sunset trotted up the steps and into the small hut; pulling off her clothes and putting on the swim wear. She sat down on the wheel chair and picked up the binocalurs. No one had dived into the water yet. They had to wait until a life guard had arrived; beach rules. Sunset put on her sunglasses and picked up a whistle. She took a deep breath and blew the whistle. Many children jumped up and galloped to the bank; being swallowed up by the crashing waves; erupting with laughter when the wave dissapeared. Sunset giggled at this, before leaning back in the chair and setting her paws on the table, picking up a blue book and began reading.

2 Hours later a children let out a cry for help. His foot had been grabbed by a crap; and it was squeezing down hard. Sunset jumped out of her seat and bounded down the stairs, soon arriving at the anthros side. She took a knife and cut off the crabs claw; it retreating into the sea. The child was immediatly tooken off to a hospital; he was going to get his leg checked for anything that would harm his health. Sunset sighed. She decided to sit down in the sand. She sprawled a striped American towel over the golden sand and laid down on it. Sunset sighed. "Its always the same."

Sunny looked at the sky. She was an orphan and lonley. She looked over at the water and ran over to take a small bath which she hasn't takin' a bath in a few days. Sunny trotted over to the water and jumped in the shallow end. Taking a shower with her paws. She looked over at the deep part. She always wanted to go over there but didn't know how to swim...maybe it wouldn't be so bad to at least try...it looked easy....Sunny start walking over to the deep end and before she knew it, she was in the deep end. She tried swimming but she couldn't "Help, Somebody help me!" she yells.

Sunset grabbed her surf board and took off for the water. She surfed over to Sunny, grabbed her arm. Sunset got off the board and put Sunny of the board. She swam back to shore and helped Sunny off the surf board. "You ok?"

"Yeah." She say and wipe herself off with my paws and looked at the wolf that saved her. "Oh no! Someone saw me!" I say to myself and run off whining.

Sunset watched Sunny run off. She shrugged then decided to surf. She hopped on her board and began shredding waves.

Sunny peaked back and watched the unknown person surf.

Sunset did a handstand on her board, except her hands help on the sides of the board and her legs in the air.

Sunny smiled at the mezmersing move and it actually turned into a stare. "Woah!"

Sunset brought the board into the air and did a flip. She landed on the board and also in the water. Sunset made her way back to the shore, smiling at all the staring people.

Sunny never saw anything like it! She slowly made her way up to the surffer and smiled. "Hi."

"Hiya! I'm Sunset, the lifeguard here." Sunset shook her paw, holding the surf board in the other.

"I'm Sunny and I'm an orphan." Sunny had a small scratcy voice.

"Really? For how long?"

"Ever since I was born," Sunny whimpered.

"Same here. Lost them when I was 5."

I sigh.

Sunset hugs her. "Its okay." She lets go and plops down on the sand.
