One Day You Will Understand The Things People Say {Please RP!}
Things People Say~
I forced my way through the trees, not caring about the scratches that they left on my hide, sometimes hair pulled out as I moved away from the branches. Snorting loudly, I pinned my ears unhappily at the dense trees we were walking through, baring my teeth and snapping at them as I walked past, head low. After an hour or so the trees began to thin and I lifted my head slightly, my coat looking black in the shadows of the trees. Every so often I would walk through a shaft of sunlight that filtered down through the twisted boughs and leaves of the knarled trees above me, and the light would send ripples of color that blazed throughout my bay hide before disappearing the moment I walked past. Tossing my head, I glared out through the surrounding trees, as if daring them to reach out at me again, and looked forward, ears pricked forward as I saw light began to filter down more frequently, the end of the forest coming closer.
~One Day You Will
Flinching every time the branches of the trees dragged against my thin hide, never drawing blood but also never ceasing to rip out some hair and clutch it close to its scraggly body, almsot grinning with joy as it defended its souvenir from the other trees, I kept close to Diabla's rump. My ears twitched back and forth nervously, my tail flicking back and forth. I breathed a sigh of relief, relaxing only slightly as the forest began to thin, and it became easier for me to avoid the trees, though every so often my multi-hued tail and creamy mane would get snagged. Finally we stepped out of the darkened woods, and a whole valley opened up before us. My ears pricked forward as my chestnut coat gleamed with health, fiery colors blazing throughout my copper hide that danced just over my skin. A slight breeze rippled the colors, sending my mane and tail drifting in the breeze before resettling lightly over my crest and down my hind legs.
Dark, lush grass that rose up past your hocks now surrounded the two mares, every so often a fruit tree dotting the plain. Hills lifted up from the ground, creating windbreakers and helping with the sunny atmosphere. A semi-circle of cliffs wrapped around the far side of the valley, and from the center dropped a gushing, fresh-water waterfall that fell into a dark, glassy pool. A sparkling stream that grew from the pond twisted its way throughout the area, a silver snake entwining its way into its home, and an occaisional, tall cottonwood grew along the bank. Fish darted in and out of existance, their shimmering forms flashing around in groups or alone. Three caves were set into the walls of the cliffs, deep, white sand filling the insides and a blue pond in the center one, closest to the waterfall. The two ponds connected by an underwater cave filled with colorful aquatic Life.
