My mare is about to have her first foal (same for me). Shes a 7 year old TWH. Now this is just my first personal foal but I've watched the birth of a different foal before. I've done a lot of research and reading about this process. I would like to let my mare birth the foal on her own with me supervising and only help if absolutely necessary. The one thing I most worried about at this point would be the placenta and how to know if its all out. That's just my main questions but any birthing tips would be appreciated as well. Also I know the risks that come with foaling but I think she will be 100% fine and in God's hands!

well if the placenta is red than it is a bad sign, but if it is white or blue then thats good.
