Looks like a lot of correct answers have been posted, I too, have used baking soda and water for 30+ years. I just wanted to add for your safety as well as to not harm your vehicle some info. As I do not know what Make, year, top or side mount cables and if an on board computer is involved-it is very important to disconnect the battery cables in the right sequence as well as re-connecting. Do NOT apply soda and water with everything still hooked up.
