I felt my heart naturally speed up when he put his hands in his pockets, then relaxed when I saw he wasn't pulling anything out. I nodded, listening to him. "Thank you, well be out soon," I say, watching him leave. I turned to Anna, smoothing her hair back. "Anna?" I say gently, placing a hand on her good shoulder. "Honey, wake up," I say quietly. I always felt as if we were being watched here, being listened in on. I could imagine her father laughing at us right now, and I grit my teeth tightly.

I'd almost flinched and scooted away feeling a hand on my shoulder but then scowled at myself, its Stefan you idiot "Im up Im up" I mumbled into the pillow then slowly sit up taking note that my body was protesting greatly about moving. I yawned shoving damp hair out of my face and looking at Stefan I smiled sleepily. "hey did I hear something about food?" I asked softly then slowly and carefully I slid out of bed, one hand keeping the towel up, my knees threatened to give out but I fought it and looked at Stefan shuttering a little. The feeling of being watched or listened to was the feeling so I looked around the room "Hey old man don't you know it's rude to listened to peoples conversation?" I asked in a loud bold voice even if I could barely stand and my body hurt like hell

Stefan
I almost took my hand away, feeling her body tense, but then she relaxed again and I heard her beautiful voice, felt her stir beside menand begin to sit up. I smile faintly at her. "Apparently they're now willing to feed us and hopefully not smash our heads in," I say, raising my voice almost tauntingly just in case anyone were listening. I watched her stand carefully, even though she had made it to the shower earlier, but her movements seemed stiffer. I soon followed, walking over to the dresser, standing beside her. I wanted to wrap my arms around her, but was afraid of hurting her, and also that my sore shoulder may not allow my arm to move that way, or for my ribs to take being pressed against her small frame. I gently pushed her hair from her face, sweeping it over her shoulders and down her back, smoothing out her bed hair, which lay back down smoothly since her hair was still wet. Bending down slightly, I pressed my lips lightly against her neck, before lifting my head to step around her and opening one of the dresser drawers.

Walking over to the dresser, my right knee pop loudly and I cringed in pain "holy hell holy hell holy hell" I said squeezing my eyes closed for a sec then letting out a breath I open my eyes again and keep walking, Stefan was at my side, making me feel a whole lot better, when I had Stefan at my side. I go to open the drawer yearning for Him to hold me but with my shoulder, and how bad everything hut I doubted he would, and his ribs and shoulder were wrapped up too. I smiled softly looking over at him savoring the feeling of his hand gently brushing hair away and smoothing it back down. Feeling his lips lightly on my neck I shivered and goosebumps pricked my skin,all to soon he stepped up and opened the drawers. Leaving me sighing and shooting his back a playful glare before I walked up beside him and looked in "huh there fix" I reached in grabbing underwear,bra,jeans, and a plain black shirt. carefully I get dressed and grab hold of the dresser as I pull the jeans on trying not to cry from the screaming pain

My body was alive but I forced the feelings away. Now was definently not the time. I sighed quietly, going through the drawers and picking out a dark, forest green T-shirt, dark pants that were easy to move in, and long black socks. I change quickly, unable to help myself from glancing every so often at Anna as she changed. I shook my head slightly to myself, sitting on the edge of the bed and leaning down slowly, carefully, to pull my boots on. Scowling, I stand and grab a chair, setting it in front of the bed so I could carefully prop my feet on it and pull on my boots and lace them up. I groaned quietly, stiff and sore, as I stand slowly, m broken ribs screaming in protest.

Straightening back up I grab socks and my dirty boots, then carefully start putting my sock on and boots, it hurt like hell and I wanted to go barefoot but if we had to do running I didn't want my feet and cut up, so I sucked it up and put then on. I looked over at Stefan and smiled softly at him, " I could have helped you with your boots Stefan" I said softly walking over to him. Letting out a breath I pat my right hip where my sword used to sit " I feel bare with out my sword" I added in a low tone with a faint grin on my lips.

I smiled crookedly. "I'm not completely useless now, Anna," I joke halfheartedly. I smile even more faintly than before, laying a hand on her good shoulder the way I had so many times now, afraid to touch her anywhere else, eyes moving from her face to her hips then back up. I chuckled softly low in my throat. "I know what you mean," I say in the same quiet tone that she used, brushing my lips against her forehead. I was so afraid of losing her, so afraid that it may even happen as soon as we step outside the room, though I doubted it would be that soon. I almost laughed at how not too long ago we had been yelling and screaming at each other, sure we hated each other, just to fall into bed, well, couch, together eventually.

His hand on my shoulder was driving me crazy, I wanted to be in his arm,wrap mine around him tightly and never let go but even if thats what I wanted my body was screaming 'hell no that would hurt to much' so for now I was going to have to live with just a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him with a faint lazy smile "yeah" I breathed out, Stopping myself from leaning into him when his lips gently brushed my forehead, instead I lean up and kissed him gently on his good cheek. With a sweet loving smile I looked up at him "come on lets go see if they try to kill us with food" I tried to joke and failed. Gently pulling him to the door I slowly open in and peered out, seeing the Doctor with a gently smile "well come on now foods getting cold"

Lol, I know, but I had this sudden burst of muse and was flipping through older posts saying: "I can do this one! And this one, and this one, and... Erm, not that one. But this one, here, too!" Lol.

I closed my eyes when I felt her lips against my cheek, sighig softly in content. I forced a smile at her lame joke, taking her hand gently and following her, ready to do anything it took to keep her by y side. I instinctively tensed as she opened the door, not smiling back at the doctor but keeping a plain face.

I looked at the Doctor holding Stefan's hand, kinda remembering him from way back when I was little, the Doctor gave a gently smile then started down the hall to the kitchen. Taking a deep breath I start down the hall, keeping my eyes on the ground, it was starting to hurt that I grew up here, this used to be my home.....home yeah now that was where Stefan was. I glanced over at him giving a weak smile.

I craned my neck slightly to see Anna's face as she hung her head. Seeing her expression, I squeezed her hand gently. "Hey, it's okay, what's wrong?" I ask quietly. If any of the guards, or the doctor, heard, they didn't seem to care or take notice.

I gently squeezed his hand back and looked up and over at him " This was my home, I used to run down these halls, my dad chasing after me laughing" I said in a low bitter tone, my eyes getting a fare away look in them. The pain that the daddy I knew and loved when I was little was dead and gone and in his place was this blood thirsty psychopath, tears stung the back of my eyes and I quickly shook my head and mustered up a small smile "Its fine Im fine" I said trying to convince myself that mostly. The Doctor listened silently but said nothing as they walked into the big kitchen. The smell of food came to my nose making my stomach growl reminding me that I haven't really eaten in a couple days, I looked up at Stefan "they would have already kill us right?" I asked cause right now I was starving.

I felt my throat tighten for a moment as I swallowed, anger rising up in my chest. I would never even begin to understand how people could turn from loving to psychotic, not that I would ever want to. I sighed quietly to myself. Then we were in the kitchen and I found myself smiling at Anna's question. "I would believe so," I say. "Especially if he wants you for something," I say, not caring who heard me now.

I broke out in a smile and chuckled "yeah true" I squeezed his hand and looked at the Doctor "are you going to leave or are you playing babysitter?" I asked as my stomach growled, He chuckled " Im play babysitter for now Anna, now tell the cook what you two want then come sit down" I nodded and walked closer to the counter where a couple cooks where cooking or doing something, "can I get a big ass cheeseburger and fry?" I asked tentatively. The older cook smiled "yes ma'am you can and for you?" she asked Stefan and I relaxed a little still chewing on my lip tho.

I barely kept from rolling my eyes at the doctor, still determined to not trust or like him at all. I followed Anna to the counter, walking closely behind her. When the cook addressed me, I lifted my head slightly to look at her. "Same thing for me," I said quietly. Something about my look or tone made her do a double take, and she simply nodded before turning to the other chefs. I saw Anna relax, A smile darting across my face as I looked at her, gently guiding her towards one of the many tables in the room.

Walking back to table with Stefan, I pulled one out and slowly sit down, my muscles trow a fit but after a little while they seen to relax. I ignored the doctor who was reading in a chair at a different table and looked at Stefan eating a peach that was on the table. A tall busty blond comes storming into the kitchen in heels,short skirt and a fancy top. "who the hell is this?" she demand pointing to me, I rolled my eyes and keep eating the peach with a dry look. The doctor looked up from his book "oh princess Natasha this is your step sister princess AnnaBell" Natasha glared at me with icy blue eyes "what?!" she shirked out "Im the only princess here!" I rolled my eyes but keep my mouth shut, I really didn't feel like beating the crap out of my apparently step sister right now, I wanted to eat and go back to bed. She glared at my back "speak!" she barked out at him, I couldn't help it "Woof" I mumbled and turned around looking at her dryly "you want me to wag my tail too?" I asked sweetly

I sat down slowly across the small table from Anna, one hand supporting my rib cage gently, and I grit my teeth tightly. Looking up as the doors banged open, I arched my eyebrows and rolled my eyes, turnin my gaze from the girl to ignore her. I felt my teeth clench tightly and anger rise in my chest at her attitude and tone, seeing from the corner of my eye her pointing and yelling at Anna. I nearly choked as I started laughing at Anna's reply, smirking as I lifted my gaze to the girl again, who the doctor called Natasha, eyes cold and hard, as I'd I were daring her to try something.

I chuckled hearing Stefan almost choke laughing, Natasha glared at me "you little-" She goes to slap me, I catch her arm and stand up gritting my teeth holding her arm tightly "look little princess, Im tired and sore as hell, so just leave me the hell alone" I growled out, unofficially she was taller then me but then again who wasn't? She looked at me a little scared then jerks her arm away glaring at me, but then her sights change and land on Stefan, Her eyes change from pissy to flirty "Doctor" She barked out "whos this?" She asked pointing to Stefan, he cleared his throat "thats Stefan miss AnnaBell's friend" "ooo" She purred out and I bristled, shrike and yell at me fine, but you do not mess with my guy. "Hands off bitch hes mine" I growled out standing in front of her

When Natasha lifted a hand to slap Anna and she stood, I stood with her, the smirk quickly disappearing from my lips, eyes hardening as I moved to stand behind Anna, a little off to the side of her right. I said nothing as Anna snapped at her, satisfied at the frightened look in her eyes. They shifted to land on me, and I bristled as her expression changed. "Don't even think about it," I growl out, my voice low and dangerous. I heard the tone change very slightly in Anna's voice, knowing that if Natasha didn't back off soon it could turn out badly. Reaching out with one arm, I gently wrap it around her good shoulder, bringing her gently to me. "Don't," I whisper quietly in her ear, afraid to hold her too close to me in case I hurt her, eyes hard and cold as I glared at the other supposed princess.

Bristling I looked at the other girl, a deathly calm look in my hazel eyes, almost daring her to try or say something. Natasha looked at me pissed but also uncertain on what to do.Feeling a warm gently hand on my shoulder, my body immediately relaxes a little and I let out a breath hearing him in my ear "come on, one hit?" I asked softly then looked back at my supposed stepsister glaring, She looked at me glaring "Daddys going to hear about this!" She stomped out of the kitchen, when she said 'daddy' it stabbed me right in the heart, slowly I lean into Stefan trying not to hurt him to much.

I shook my head slightly. "Not even one," I say quietly. I rolled my eyes at the girl's snotty attitude as she stomped out, and couldn't help but throw one last comment after her. "Right, he's going to hear how you attempted to injure his other daughter then tried to court an assassin, I'm sure he'll be so pleased," I say dryly just before the doors slammed behind her. Ignoring the stares from the others in the room, I gently guide Anna to her seat, pulling my chair over to her's as our food was brought over, my appetite gone.

Hearing Stefan's last comment I couldn't help but crack a smile as he guilds me back to the table and gently puts me in a seat. The food came and my stomach rolls and I make a face pushing the plate away "Im not hungry anymore" I said softly looking down at the table thinking as the tears sting the back of my eyes, he was MY dad not that bitches and her saying that was like a slap in the face. I sniffled softly and wipe my eyes with the back of my hand "can I kill her..please?" I asked hoarsely looking over at him

I nodded slightly, feeling the same way as I kept my arm wrapped as loosely as possible around her back and waist, barely touching her for fear of hurting her, not yet knowing exactly where each and every one of her injuries were, and feeling bad that I hadn't had the decency to look properly. I barely glanced at the food, just nodding a thank you to the chefs, not wanting to seem rude to them, though I was surprised I actually cared. I swallowed, the motion seeming more difficult than usual, at her next words. "Now," I began gently, "where do you honestly think that would get us?" I say. If it were just her, I'd be more than glad to let my AnnaBell kill her, but it wasn't like that. I had never been afraid to die before, but that had been when my life had little purpose to it, back when I had been a carefree assassin doing work for hire and roaming wherever I pleased. But now I had Anna, and I couldn't bear the thought of dying and leaving her to face all this alone, of her being killed without me being there to stop it, or at least die alongside her. No, dying would not be, could not be, the option for either of us.

arm was lightly around me, even if I wanted to bury my head into his chest and hold him tightly, I knew I couldn't that would put us both in a lot of pain. Letting out a breath my stomach rolls from the smell of the burger that was in front of me. pushing the plate away more as my stomach threats to bring up everything that was left in my stomach. Wiping my eyes with the back of my hand again I looked at him trying to think of a good answer "screwed it would get us screwed" I answered back softly as I think about it, If it was just me hell I would kill that girl with my hands but it wasn't just me I had Stefan with me, and I couldn't lose him or watch my dad kill him, when dad had Stefan beat up I panicked and begged him to stop I didn't even want to think about what he could do to Stefan if I did something like that.Shutteringg at the thought I sighed and rest my forehead against the cool table wishing this would even already. " I want do go home" Ibarelyy whispered more to myself then anyone.

I moved my arm slightly to let her lay down against the table, knowing people were trying their hardest not to watch or eavesdrop on us, but I ignored them. Gently, I massaged my fingers on and between her shouderblades, waiting for some cry of pain. When it didn't come, I no longer hesitated, feeling more tired than ever. "I know," I spoke just as quietly, my voice only meant for her ears and her ears alone. "I know," I repeated, taking in a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "Anna, do you think you can manage to eat anything?" I ask, my eyes showing my concern for her. We were both already so low on our game, and we could no longer afford to keep denying everything that came our way. Reaching over, I plucked a French Fry from one of the plates, trying to not crinkle my nose in disgust as I forced myself to eat it, watching Anna closely, my hand now still on her back.
