The Lost Filly

[Artemis Sinfeather]

Moon Rose ~ I wandered the forest floor searching for someone to care for me I stumbled and fell to the floor, weeping, wondering if my mother even cared about me

Eagle troted through the forest her mane flying behind her in the wind when she scented a horse nearby she pricked her ears wondering if she could hear anything

I nieghed hoping for someone to hear, I laid my head back upon the grass

[Daydreamer]

Eagle snorted when she heard a foal neigh and started to trot toward the sound untill she came upon the foal lying in the ground

Moon Rose ~ I saw a mare trotting toward me I whinnied quietly

[Daydreamer]

Eagle walked up to the foal and lowered her head "honey are you allright were's your momma" she said Worriedly

Moon Rose ~ '' I have no momma.'' I weeper alittle again and struggled to stand

[Daydreamer]

Eagle nudged the filly to help it stand "aww you poor baby..what happened" she said

Moon Rose ~ '' I got left behind by my momma she know I was gone but never came back.'' I stood I was weeping my face wet with tears I tried to calm down

Eagle nuzzled the small filly "whats your name little one"

[Artemis Sinfeather]

Moon Rose ~ '' Uhh I don't think my mom named me I named myself but I can't remember it.'' I wobbled alittle unable to keep my balance

[Daydreamer]

Eagle smiled "well thats ok" she said and stood beside the filly to support her

Moon Rose ~ I managed to get my balance back, I looked to my sides and was surprised at what I saw---little black wings

[Daydreamer]

Eagle looked at the filly suprised "wow...i've never seen a horse like you before" she said and smiled "well..its good to be different"

Moon Rose ~ '' Thanks I never realised they were there before'' I said quietly stretching them then folded them back toward my body

[Daydreamer]

Eagle smiled "well we cant have a beautiful filly like you with no name..why don't you name yourself"

~ Moon Rose ~
'' Uhm... I like the name Moon Rose!'' I said with a smile on my face, giggling happily with my little black wings outstretched, '' From nows on I'll be called Moon Rose!'' I couldn't stop giggling with happiness.

[Daydreamer]

Eagle smiled "well thats a lovely name Moon Rose i adore it" she said as she nuzzled her cheek "would you like to go to your new home now"

~ Moon Rose ~
'' Yes please!'' I whickered happily and followed my new mommy still giggling and folded my wings back in to my body.
