A soft snort blew from the darkling's nostrils as she trotted into lands she knew nothing of. Her dark eyes looked all around as her surroundings were taken in. The crumbled ruins of the evlen city lay in their dusty piles scattered upon the earth. Walking upon broken stone and tile, the dainty hooves missed a step and she stumbled, catching herself just in time. These lands were filled with unseen bodies, scents of many made the air hard to breath. The maiden didn't know what or who to expect here, so she remained on the tips of her hooves at all times. The mare's ears flicked in all directions as her black hoves moved almost soundlessly across the foreign ground. Looking around, Lillith spied a copse of birch trees that had burst through the floor of a great house and made her way towards it, her brisk gate carrying her swiftly across this stoney sea to her destination. Finally stepping into the little copse and making her way towards the center, the Ebony mare found herself in a small circular meadow with a thin fence of trees. This area was less crowded and the air was easier to take in and enjoy. Flaring her nostrils, she inhaled the sweet and heady scent of spring.
She was a sight for sore eyes, this mare, and she was pleased with her apperance. With her glowing charcoal eyes framed by a thick blanket of dark colored lashes, small black hooves attatched to long, sinewy legs accompanied by a luscious snow white mane and tail with a glossy coal-kissed coat, Lillith was striking. Lifting a hoof, she pawed the air lightly out of boredom. Lillith considered finding a puddle to water bend... Or at least attempt. Looking down, the ink wrapped femme noticed a thick sprinkling of dew amongst the long blades of grass.
Smiling slightly as she focused on her center of life, her heart, Lillith prepared to lift the water from the grass beneath her and let it float around her dainty bodice in a thin tendril. Closing her eyes, the darkling sent out her awareness and targeted all of the droplets below her. The maiden then started to concentrate and imagine the drops lifting, combining and hovering in a shuddering line infront of her. Lillith could just feel the water start to lift and begin to some together when the voices decided to interrupt her small moment of peace. ooh! oooooohh! Lillith, you were doing soooo goood!! a high pitched female voice within her head gushed as the water splashed back on to the ground. Glaring, the onyx coated mare spoke aloud to the voice Dear goddess, Elle! you screwed it up! i was almost there and you screwed it up! you are the most insolent thing i have ever witnessed! Her voice was irritable as she spoke to the voice she had named Elle. Elle was one of two voices that accompanied Lillith within her mind, keeping her crazy... Or sane. Then a new male voice spoke in a calm cruelty Yes, congrats, Elle you have helped Lilltih mess up in her quest to master water bending... Again. The voice was cold, usually held no emotion other than contempt and had named himself Dax. Elle piped up and protested loudly in the dark fea's head Dax! you are sooo mean! what in the world is wrong with you? Dax then replied in a very unnatractive string of words that caused Elle to enfold into the little 'corner' of Lillith's mind and stay silent.
Lillith then grunted her thanks to Dax and focused once more upon lifting the water from the thin blades of grass and persuading it to obey her. But just as she had begun to coax the dew off of the grass, another interruption claimed her chance. Lillith felt herself getting smaller, losing her hooves and trading her queenly head for that of a dog. She felt as her fur grew longer and added layers, her ears stretched wider and advanced in their hearing, and as she produced a tail of flesh and bone. Dammit! Screamed Lillith Every time! Every time i try to practice my bending i turn into a fricken Fox! I dont even want to be a fox! The ice-hearted creature continued to rant as she morphed into an attractive Arctic Fox. Her fur was a startling shade of ivory and contrasted stunningly with her black personality. Finding herself crouching upon the soft eath, Lillith let loose an exhasperated sigh and sat upon her haunches, fighting the urge to dart into a now-apealing hollow carved into one of the trees. Stupid fox urges...

while within the body of this ivory fox, the newly-turned vixen decided it would be good to make sure her powers and senses were still intact and that nothing was disturbed by her outbursts and yells. Twitching her ears and sniffing the air, the vix caught not scent nor heard anyone approaching. In fact- she heard nothing. Odd as it seemed, the maiden ignored it and chalked it up to the fact that she had yelled a moment earlier. As the silence grew longer, the critters of the forests and garden began to stir once more, resuming their simple lives in a calming cacophony of sounds. Sighing, Lillith looked up into the sky where she noticed the sun was setting, changing the sky into a splash of different colors all melding into eachother with a soundless grace. As she focused on the chameleon colored dome above her, the she-fox decided that it would be quite correct to practice her bending once more. She looked down and searched the earth for any trace of gathered water, whether it a drop of rain or a slim and shallow stream leaking from a puddle. Suddenly, though, a unemotional voice broke the silence in her head, startling her and making her wolven head snap up in surprise. It was only Dax Someone is near, love, you should be more aware Although to ones taht didnt know him, the voice would seem cold and cruel, but Lillith heard the ever small crooning note in his voice that signaled to her that he was only watching out for her, not scolding her. Smiling grimly, the vix silently thanked Dax and let her eyes scour the land around her while her ears swiveled frantically, trying to pick up any forign sight or sound. At last, the snow kissed creature heard the snap of a branch and flew through the branches at a lope, her eyes sparking with rage at the intrusion of her privacy. As she ran, she jumped into the treetops and agiley leaped from bough to bough, darting through the forest towards the sound and scent she had just picked up. Her carnivore instincts took over, and when she saw a small patch of flesh, she leaped for it, muzzle open to reveal sharp teeth and a lolling tongue. But her instincts vanished from her as soon as she sound that she had landed upon the broad back of what seemed to be a young horse. In the back of her mind, she could hear Dax laugh at her and Elle gasp in surprise. Raising her keen eyes to meet those of the equine, Lillith steeled herself, hoping that she would soon turn back into her horse-self.
