Nightmare

I smiled as I watched the two pups, seeing the little male bark slightly at the female.

The female barked back, and pawed at his ears gently. Devio smiled at the two adorable pups, and nuzzled Nightmare.

I smiled at Devio and gently licked his nose then watched as the male dropped down into a playful pose and barked at the female again.

The black puppy barked back at her brother, fluffy tail wagging playfully. Devio smiled. "Darkness. That's a good name for her." Devio decided.

Nightmare

I smiled at the name and nodded then said, "That's a good name. How about Ghost for him?"

"That's a great name for him." Devio replied, licking Nightmares nose gently.

I smiled and licked his nose lovingly. "Well, I'm glad you think so." I replied, nuzzling his neck.

Devio smiled, and nuzzled Nightmare's back, licking her spine as he did so.

I smiled even more at him and gave his chin a loving little nip.

Devio suddenly frowned, sighing softly. "I don't get it. I forced you, but yet, you still stay with me and the pups. Why?" Devil growled softly, orange eyes gleaming with curiosity.

Nightmare

I was a little taken aback by his question but then I smiled and said, "Because I've fallen in love with you." I gently nuzzled his neck, giving it a loving lick.

Devio shook his head. "But why?" He questioned, sighing softly as he looked at his paws. Devio had forced several faes and left over half of them. He didn't want to do it again. The brute had a heart, stone cold and black, but he wasn't heartless.

Nightmare

"Because you've been kind to me. All thru my pregnancy you were devoted and gentle. You hunted when I got hungry and helped me to the river when I was thirsty or, towards the birth of our pups, brought me water. I've never known kindness like the kindness you've given me. Maybe I'm just young and naïve but that's the reason." I replied, looking up at him, my eyes filled with the love I had for him.

Devio sighed. "I may be an asshole, but I'm not heartless. No fae deserves to fend alone when pregnant with pups, especially when she has a mate. And I've had multiple litters of pups, so I'm used to helping out. Now that the pups are born, I won't leave them. They are beautiful, just like their mother." He said sweetly, returning the loving gaze, his electrifying orange eyes glistening.

Darkness barked softly, and squirmed, suckling for more milk, then curling back in a tiny ball.

Devio looked at Darkness with a smile. She was pure black, like her mother, but had Devio's eyes. "Darkness is oddly large for a newborn." He said softly.

Nightmare

I smiled up at Devio then looked down when I heard Darkness bark and watched as she suckled some more. I smiled and gently licked her back. "Yes. She is. I guess she takes after her father." I replied, looking up at Devio again.

Ghost

I barked a little when my sister barked then I curled back up against my mother and fell asleep.

Devio nodded, realizing how large he was compared to Nightmare. He was about 7 inches taller. Devio looked back down at the two puppies. "She has one fiery spirit, I can tell."

Darkness looked around, and curled up next to her brother, placing her chin on his back, then bared very softly.

Nightmare

"Yeah. But Ghost seems a little more mellow." I remarked, looking down at the two pus.

Ghost

I moved a little when I felt my sister curl up next to me but I stayed asleep.

"Yeah, I agree." Devio replied, nodding his massive cranium.

Darkness licked her brother, then nipped his ear softly.

Nightmare

I nodded slightly then watched the pups.

Ghost

I yipped a little then batted at my sister with my paw.

Devio watched the pups with interest, and smiled at them sweetly.

Darkness nipped Ghost's paw, and play tackled him, wagging her fluffy puppy tail.

(Skip to when the pups are older? To about 3 months?)

I also watched the pups, smiling at them in happiness.

Ghost

I yipped in surprise when Darkness tackled me then I growled playfully and started to wrestle with her

-3 months later?-

"Can't catch me!" Darkness barked to her brother, dodging to one side and pawing at him playfully.

Devio watched the two pups and chuckled. "Go get her Ghost!"

Ghost

"Yeah I can!" I barked back, pouncing at Darkness.

Nightmare

I smiled as I watched the pups, my ears flicking towards Devio when I heard his exclamation. I was keeping my tail still since I had gone into heat recently, my first heat since I had given birth to me and Devio's pups. I wasn't sure if Devio knew I was in heat again or not since I hadn't told him yet.

Darkness dodged his "attack" and crouched low to the ground, barking. "Yeah, sure!" She yipped sarcastically.

Devio laughed at the two pups. "Don't kill each other." He called to them.

Ghost

I looked back at my dad and smiled. "Alright, Father!" I called out then I turned my attention back to Darkness. I crouched down and again launched myself at her.

Nightmare

I watched the pups for a little while longer, smiling, before deciding to tell Devio I was in heat again. I gently nudged his shoulder with my muzzle to get his attention then I said, "Devio, there's something I need to tell you."
