[Wolfy]

Faye ran her hands through the horse's mane, untangling knots and picking any burs she came across out. The stallion nipped at the hem of her shirt, demanding some sort of reward for the thorough mane tugging he was receiving. "Just wait a bloody minute." She muttered, moving down his body, giving his tail the same treatment until it was clean and untangled. Faye returned to his saddle, fishing around in the saddle bag for an apple, grabbing the only one she could find and holding it out for him. The horse took it greedily, and Faye laughed softly while he ate it. 

Once she had removed the saddle and brushed the rest of him down, she tied him to a tree and went to work on setting out her own camp. A fire was already going, warding off the incoming darkness. She laid her sword by her bed roll, nodding in approval at the organization. Faye finished quickly, and plopped down on the ground, humming happily to herself. This was a welcomed break from people, and frustration, and fights, and she was in a surprisingly good mood. Stretching out on her makeshift bed, Faye closed her eyes, yawning with content.

[So that was short, but bascially she's just outside the town]

Meanwhile..

His golden pelt shined under the rising moon,stars freckling the immense lapis sky. He padded through the quiet town,light on his paws and cautious to everything. His thin blade was tied around his back,clothes having been tossed away at the camp. He was on a crazy hunt for something.. A new quest,a new challenge.

He slid to a stop,his muscular frame bunching up as he stared at a large bulletin board. "Towns Board" it was titled,all sorts of stories listed on it. He scanned through them,reading little sentences and quotes here and there,catching some titles and unique formats. He nods his head,suddenly dashing off towards the uncharted path. His nose led him back to cane,the crackling if the bonfire traveling to his ears,the scent of the horse filling his nostrils. He bounded over boulders,leaping over fallen trees and dashing through shallow rivers. He scattered across the camp towards the horse,his curled tail wagging wildly. His ears were up high,nose poking at the horse's frame. He smelt Faye,his one and only friend,his dear savior. She was the one who kept him company in the time of need,and he would be the one to control her temper.

Without further delay he walked steadily up to Faye,sitting down at her feet. His head was tilted,bright eyes gazing into hers. "Faye?" He barked,somehow having the ability to speak with his new form. That's what was unique about his transformations.. Being able to take bits of DNA from species and combine them to form his own.

Faye dozed quietly, listening to the sounds of the horse grazing and the fire crackling. She wondered where Skylar was, but her mind was foggy with fatigue, and Faye assured herself he was fine. She shifted slightly, and a sharp bolt of pain shot through her shoulder, causing her to mutter a curse. Her damned horse had been spooked by a bird, and had nearly taken her arm out of its socket when he bolted. Flexing her hand, Faye rolled over, facing the fire now.

A bark caused her to sit upright instantly, and darkness engulfed the clearing for a moment as she struggled to overcome her surprise. The fire eventually broke through the darkness, and Faye rubbed her shoulder, laughing softly to herself. "Dammit, Sky, you scared me." Her horse snorted, drawing her attention over to him. He was prancing nervously, and Faye concluded that she must have scared him with the flash of darkness. "What you been up to?"

His head dipped at her,lifting back up. "There are lots of reports of supernatural phenomenon,others are simply burglary. We're in a dark depression sadly,and crime is at its peek." He paced back and forth,his tail held low. He looked worried,deep in thought. "The church is worried.. They weren't able to sacrifice their harvest to the Gods.. They're worried their town will incinerate,their Gods no longer caring for them." He spoke in a deep tone,sighing afterwards.

His eyes fixed on the energetic,and obviously untrusting horse as it swayed left to right in weariness. His lips drew up into a smile,shaking his head. "I don't know why you won't get rid of the damned thing.." He mumbled.

Faye listened with her eyes half closed, tempted to wave him off and go back to sleep. She looked up through her thick frame of lashes when he spoke of the missed sacrifice, and she brushed some fallen hair out of her face, waking up a bit at the news. "Do you expect us to do something about it?" She asked, leaning back on her elbows with a perked eyebrow. Her eyes followed his as he mentioned her horse, and Faye shrugged. "Because I couldn't bear to get rid of him." 

She chewed the inside of her cheek thoughtfully, casting a side ways glance in the direction of the village, sighing softly. "Damn humans, can't keep themselves out of trouble." Faye muttered, grinding her teeth together in irritation.

He tilted his head at her response,though fully knowing his dear friend,he shook his head at her question. "No, I do not." He stated calmly,head dipping yet again towards her. "I'll be back Faye." With that,he padded off towards a nearby bush,his nose low to the ground as he tried to pick up the scent of his clothes. He bowed down,shaking his body. In doing so,the sword on his back slid down,ruffling his blond fur and dropping down.

He padded into the bush,becoming a small,delicate orb that shined bright like the northern star. It started to morph,dancing in a tight circle. It stretched,coiled,and started to lose it's wonderful glow. It was shaped as a human being,a mirage of what it truly was. Long,spiked blonde hair stretching skyward,his thick muscular frame hidden behind the bush. He swiftly slipped into his clothes,the black shirt making him look even more intimidating,though his ocean blue eyes showed calmness deep within himself.

She nodded, eyes following him as he left, looking away when he went out of sight. Faye ran a hand through her glossy black hair, leaning back and crossing her arms behind her head, muttering something softly to herself. 

So the church hadn't make their sacrifice. Big freaking deal, right? She didn't want to care, but there was a nagging down in her stomach that told her she should. "So what if the town gets burned to the ground, or whatever?" Faye asked herself in a barely audible whisper, and the 'angel on her shoulder' answered her immediately.  Because it's filled with innocent people. She wanted to ask about all the criminals, to point out that it would be mercy to most the townspeople, but the idea of continuing on a conversation with herself would be a little strange. 

A shudder passed through her, and Faye growled, pushing the line of darkness back a bit in irritation.  She sat up, giving the area around her a quick look, before laying back down, shaking her head and chuckling.

He nudged his foot under his blade,knocking it up to the air and snatching it out before him. His feet were light,approaching Faye from behind without a single peep. His sword made a soft hiss as he drew it out of it's sheath,his eyes narrowed down at her. The hair along his neck pricked up,his eyes swiftly switching towards his surroundings. "Something will happen tonight.. Or tomorrow.."

Faye glanced up at him as he spoke, nodding in agreement. "There's another bed roll on the saddle, if you're interested in a bit of sleep tonight." She told him, eyes following his movement from beneath half closed eye lids.

He shook his head at the offer,his blonde hair being highlighted by the lunar rays. "I'm not tired,but thanks Faye." He walked around her,heading towards the fire. He cupped his lips,blowing a powerful channel of wind towards the fire,blowing it out. He didn't want to jeopardize the forest setting ablaze,upsetting the Gods anymore.

[Wolfy]

Faye cocked a brow at him, moonlight taking the place of firelight on her features as she playfully clucked her tongue at him. "You'll be dead tired in the morning, then." She heard her horse snort again, causing her to roll her eyes in what was almost amusement.

[ZeldaWolfy]

He laughed,glancing over at Faye. "Remember the snowstorm a few years ago? Who was the one that stood up day and night to bring back food and scavenge for shelter? Certainly wasn't your stupid horse." He grinned,looking up at the horse.

[Wolfy]

Faye rolled her eyes, crossing one of her legs over the other. "Remember that it's not that snowstorm a few years ago?" She smiled back at him. "And where would we find someone who would trade that skittish thing for an actual horse?" Faye pointed out, tapping her fingers against the ground in nervous habit.

"Someone who wants to get rid of their horse." he smiled,sitting down before the fire. He crossed his legs,stabbing the sword through the dirt behind him. He leaned against the sturdy surface,eyes narrowed at the starless sky. Everything seemed so foreign to him after his color-blind vision as a wolf. Even the scents he could once pick up have now just vanished from his memory. He rubbed his eyes with his gloved hands,having them fall upon Faye.

[Wolfy]

"In trade for that?" She retorted, pointing her thumb in the direction of the bay stallion. "Even if I didn't want my bloody horse, I'd still prefer it over him." That wasn't entirely true, though. The horse was amusing. "We're plenty warm, the damned horse will warn us about anything that comes within a one mile radius, so we're safe. Get some rest, would ya?" Faye looked over at him, raising an eyebrow in expectation.

He chuckled at his partner's quick comeback,letting out a soft chuckle. He still didn't trust the youthful horse,suggesting to himself it'd be better off as dinner. His eyes softly closed,feet kicked up over another. "I guess.." He ended the conversation,his mind troubled with many other things. For once,he wasn't quiet. He was worried,worried about the villagers,and their little ol' town.

Faye blinked, finally closing her eyes and feeling fatigue nagging at her again. She sighed softly, head tilted softly to the side. Despite the new found worries of the night, Faye fell asleep quite easily, her breathing evening out rather quickly.

[Time skip to morning?]

As the worries slept,the Gods worked their magic in the clouds. Zues,God of Lightning rolled in his thundering clouds as morning had come. He hid the sun from the village,injuring their crops with the lightning from his slaves,the village suddenly setting aflame. Villagers screamed and rampaged,breaking down their doors and scurrying away. It was a helpless act,and many more to come.

He awoke to the screams if the villagers,a jolt if alert coming to his mind. His heart thumped out of his chest,scattering to his feet. His sword was pulled out of the earth,looking around. The winds carried the flames north,up into the trees and towards them. "Faye!" He shouted.

[Wolfy]

Faye was on her feet quickly, tying her mussed hair back and glancing around quickly. The horse was panicking, naturally, and she slid one of her daggers from her belt, cutting the animal loose and watching it flee off into the forest. Sneering at the stallion, Faye turned again, brown eyes reflecting the flames. "What do you suggest we do?" She asked Skylar calmly, walking up to his side and turning to face the fire once more. "Damned horse won't be of much use. I'll have to find him after this whole ordeal if over." She growled, shifting her weight carefully.

[ZeldaWolfy]

Skylar glanced at Faye,shrugging his shoulders as all alert had passed through his mind. "First we should get any children to safety,then we hunt down the natural disaster and handle him head-to-head."

[Wolfy]

Faye nodded, tucking her dagger back into her belt slowly. "Sounds like a plan. See ya there!" She gave him a two finger salute, and dashed off towards the village,  hoping they wouldn't be too late.

He was shocked at the sudden change of heart she had to the situation,unlike last night where she couldn't care less about the mortal beings. Without any further delay,he dashed off at her side,ocean blue eyes scanning through the open flames. His DNA reconstructed,fitting a moment like this. His senses were heightened,only hearing and scent were supernatural. "A little girl and big brother behind the flames ahead.. I hear screams towards the west as well.."

[Wolfy]

Faye nodded, unable to really tell where any one of the humans were. Fire had a funny way of getting rid of darkness, leaving her with the normal way of finding people. She hurried towards the west, spinning around in a quick circle to check her surroundings, feeling the heat of the fire on her skin. Cursing quietly to herself, she kept moving, checking the few shadows she could find, seeing nothing near them.

He dashed off ahead after seeing her head to the West. His senses were thrown off,the scent of smoke filling his nostrils,fire burning the oxygen level. The houses started to collapse,children and adults alike screaming for help. He dived through the flames,ignoring the searing flames that scorched his pale flesh. He'd save them,whether at the cost of his life,or not.

[Wolfy]

A pained scream drew her attention, and Faye turned towards it, dark eyes searching frantically for the source of the noise. She caught a glimpse of someone, a little girl, huddled with her knees pulled tight to her chest. Faye moved towards her, hand outstretched. The child jumped when she felt Faye's hand tighten on her shoulder, but she didn't resist when Faye pulled her onto her feet, both of them coughing. It was almost unbearably bright for Faye, and she squinted against the heat and flames, quickly pulling the girl along until the smoke began to dim and the heat wasn't so strong anymore. 

Once the girl was safe, Faye looked back at the fire, reluctant to re enter the bright mass of heat. Sighing softly, she ran back in.
