A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
((its a Human/Dragon RP, yet there is a limit. There can be 2 humans and two dragons. The humans will each gain one dragon by gaining its trust to tame it. There are 1 Dragons and 1 Humans. PM me to ask for a position!))
A storm, and a bad one, was coming in tonight as the sky was filled with darkness that others slept by. The dragoness's blue-ish eyes glowed brighter than her same colored markings. She growled lowly as she stared at the only village that a group of dragons would raid from time to time, that village filled with dragon-killers. This dragon was named Liren, and she was a rare-to-see Blustrom dragon, but a lot of people have said that the dragon was a cold-blooded killer, but they were wrong. She never once killed a human, nor raided this village for food or just out of rage, but at times she would join to strike. The wild dragons were soon to appear and attack with the storm, the lightning crashing as a signal of it. She sat on a dead tree, her tail wrapped around it as she sat on the clean-cut top that she made herself with her fire. She let out a deep roar with a blot of lightning near her, her being a so-called "dragon of lightning storms" because she was always around during a lightning storm. As she slowly spread open her wings, she watched as the play began.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
"Daddy! You don't have to go out there and do this! It's cruel and wrong!" Amity begged, clinging to her father's arm as he headed towards the front door of their little cabin.
"Yes I do, child! They always plunder our village and burn our work to the ground. They are our enemies!" he cried in rage, jerking his arm out of her grasp and reaching for his cross bow.
Amity watched with tear filled brown eyes as her father marched through the door and slammed it shut behind him, leaving her and her mother alone to weather out the storm. Behind her her mother began to move about the small house, closing windows and locking them tight to keep the rain out that would soon start to fall. The young teen scowled and began to help her mother in silence. The two worked by candle light while the wind howled outside, carrying the storm in with it. Every time there was a deadly lightning storm, the dragons from the far mountains would attack their village for food or take out their rage on the people. Amity understood why the dragons were so upset and had always wanted to help. The village was full of dragon hunters, generations of them. The men were taught from a young age to wield swords, shoot arrows, and use other weapons to slay the fire breathing beasts.
"I just dont understand why father has to do this. You and I both know its not right." she complained as she turned around to face her mother who leaned over the kitchen sink. She was staring out the window and watching the lighting flash across the sky. The faintest sound of rumbling thunder could be heard. Amity's face wrinkled up into a pout when she didn't get a response. With a grunt, she sat down in front of the empty fire place and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Don't worry about it, honey. Eventually the war will end." came her mother's voice behind her. She sat down in the rocking chair and pulled Amity to her. Amity leaned against her knees and sighed. Her mother took a couple hand fulls of her daughter's violet hair and began to braid it into a long french braid. "Why can't we just make peace?" Amity whispered, glaring across the room at a painting of a fierce dragon upon the wall.
As her mother was about to answer, there was a crack and then a sonic boom of thunder that rattled the whole house. Small items fell from shelves and broke against the wood floor. Amity got up and scrambled to gather the broken pieces as her mother rushed to one of the window. People outside were running for their lives as shadows in the form of dragons swooped across the ground. "Do you smell something burning?" her mother asked, sniffing the air and looking alarmed.
Amity stood holding the shards of porcelain and took a whiff of the air. She nodded her head and started forward, her brown eyes worried.Suddenly there was a screech and then a loud crashing sound just outside the front door. Amity screamed and dropped the bits onto the floor, her arms immediately outstretched towards her mother as the door flew open. The two clung to each other as flames began to lick their way into the house, latching onto anything it could get to, and slowly crawling towards them. The roar of flames and dragons drone out her mother's cry to run as the two whirled around and made a run for the window behind them. They scrambled through and dashed around the house, running for the main road that would lead them out of the village. Everywhere they looked homes were burning and people were screaming, dragons loomed over head while the storm raged around them. It was raining, but it wasn't doing anything to the flames that ate away the buildings.
Holding hands, the two shoved their out towards the entrance, trying not to look at the lump that lie on the ground in charred heaps. They were almost there when Amity felt her mother's hand slip from her's. "Ma!" she screamed as she whipped around and saw her mother on the ground, having tripped over a body. She knelt by her side and tried help her get to her feet. The woman cried out in pain and grabbed at her leg. Her ankle was obviously broken. With tears streaming down their faces, they clung to each as the war raged on around them. "Go, baby! Run and never stop! Get as far away from here as you can!" her mother shouted, grabbing her by the shoulders. "But..!" Amity started. Her mother reached out and slapped her across the face. "I said go!" Amity nodded her head quickly and gave her mother a hug. "I love you.." she told her, tears still falling from her sad eyes. She got up and watched as her mother mouthed her love for her back and then turned, taking off at a dead run to escape the horror. She bolted through the front gates, leaving a burning world in her wake.
Stumbling blindly through the dark forest, Amity struggled to gain her bearings and keep running. She continuously tripped over roots and rocks hidden by the fallen leaves. She hiked her dress up to her knees, but it often got in the way when she had to let go to throw her hands up for balance. Her wet hair clung to her face as well as the rest of her light wardrobe. Tears blurred her vision and the mug that stuck to her bare feet made her slip and slid all over the place. Once or twice she made a crash landing into a couple muddy puddles. With a cry of outrage and despair, she toppled forward and landed on the wet grass just below a dead tree and just laid there, face down. The rain continued to pour down from the heavens and soak her to the bone, but what did she care? It was all over for her anyway.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
Destruction, chaos, the pain and fear they spread to the dragon hunters as the village lit up by their fires made her aqua eyes glow from the sight and she snorted at the fact and decided to follow the storm and leave. As she spread her wings wide out to fly away, a few snaps from the forest stopped her and she growled softly as she heard them, making her tail wrap around her perch until she saw it; a human girl, and from her direction she was running from the village. <'A survivor from the village?? Those stupid things must have not made it thorough to get rid of the hunters....'> She thought and watched as the girl fell to the ground as a way of giving up as she climbed down to finish the human off. As she touched the wet ground, she sat on her hind legs and prepared to attack by using her tail but she decided to let the girl see who would help her forget her pain eternally. Carefully rolling the girl to her back to look at her and stood to her feet again to use her tail but froze up. The way the girl looked as well as her scent and the smell of her emotions, the dragon felt something in common with the girl, yet she was clueless on it. <'Who or what is this human? She smells like a human yet like something similar....Whatever she is, i might as well let her live; by the looks of it, she has had enough horror and fear.'> The dragon thought of once more and began to flap her wings slowly which rose her to the air till she flew off and upwards into the storm and decided to lead the horde of dragons to another dragon hunter village. With a screeching roar, the dragon lead the dragons into following her as she scoped the village one last time and saw that it was nothing but ashes and small fires. Leaving no trace of a dragon or human behind, only dead bodies littering the place, all of the dragons disappeared and Liren did as well, though the dragon had a hunch they could meet again.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
Amity groaned, but didn't open her eyes. She could feel the rain still pouring down on her, soaking her down to the bone and giving her the chills. In the dark forest, she was unaware of what was going on around her and above her, even clueless to the large dragon looming over her and its deadly intentions. She felt a chilling breeze move across her backside and then felt something slick brush against her skin. There was pressure and she then she was on her back, lying with her face turned to the side. She groaned again and heaved a sigh that racked her whole body, making her shudder and whimper. The sound of flapping filled her ears and the mighty roar of dragons echoed all throughout the forest, letting her know the beasts were on the move.
Sunlight shone against Amity's eye lids the following morning and forced her awake. The young girl's eyelids fluttered and then opened completely. She tried to focus her eyes on whatever lie beside her, but it was troublesome due to the fact she had a headache. "Oh wow.." she breathed and brought a hand up to her temple. She touched it gingerly for a few moments. Birds sang in the trees and small creatures skittered about her, going about their usual morning rituals, paying her no mind. Amity grunted and struggled to sit up. Once she was in a kneeling position, she rubbed her eyes profusely and looked at her at the forest. How did she get there? The girl searched her memory for the answer and was horrified at what she found. Dragons, fire, screaming, her mother ... Tears formed in her eyes and fell down her cheeks, soaking her wild hair that hung over her shoulders. "Mother.." she whimpered aloud as she got to her bare feet and swayed. She had to find a way back to the village, to see if anyone was alive. Clutching herself, Amity made her way back into the forest hoping she was heading in the right direction.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
Waking up, she noticed she was around the same old village again from last night and huffed, remembering that there weren't anymore villages that hunted dragons, she she was going to see if that human would return so she could kill her. She had no motives, no urges, no reason to do it; Liren mostly wanted a reason then scoping her mind a bit, she remembered touching a trap they had which pinned her. The dragon laid there on the ground of the village, shutting her eyes as she was held tightly by the binding ropes, wanting to get out. Breathing sharply yet slowly, she laid there, not even able to twitch yet the storm was gone and she felt like she was in danger. She had lived over a hundred years, only to get captured by a useless trap that was hardly needed any longer. Her wings being held up by the thick strands of rope, she could smell all the bodies and it sickened her, the dragon not being one that would fight. Her body stretched out like a stick, she wanted to complain but she might as well pretend so that way she can get herself free.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
(Lol, help with?)
Amity finally stumbled through the tree line and stood before the entrance to her village, or what used to be. The tall arch that told outsiders the name of her village and that they were dragon hunters. It sickened her that the arch was still in place. She wan't a dragon hunter, she was a female, but she refused to say she was apart of her father's family since he chose to hurt the wild beasts for no apparent reason other than history said to do it. Crossing her arms over her chest and pressing onward, Amity stepped under the arch and into the ruins of her former home. It smelled of rotten flesh and smoldering ash. It was thick enough in the air to make her cough and choke on it. Her eyes burned and her lungs ached, but she had to keep going, to find any survives and her home. She tore a section of her dress and pressed it over her face as she picked her way towards her house, doing her best to avoid the path she took with her mother.
Upon approaching the spot where her house once stood, Amity repeated to herself that she probably wouldn't find anything left.. and she was right. Not a thing was left in he rubble as she picked through it. She kicked aside boards and tore away small fragments of glass, searching for a memento or something to take along with her. Tears welled in her eyes as she grew frustrated. She shouted things to the sky, cursed the ground, and swore at the remains of her former life. "Its not fair!" she cried out, clutching at her chest. She sank to her knees in what would have been her parents bedroom and stared at the misshapen heaps of what would have been.Something gold caught her eye and squinted to look at it better. She crawled towards it and shoved aside pieces of wood to get it free. It was a gold pendant in the shape of a flying dragon on a thin chain. Amity stared at it in confusion, her mother hated dragons as much as her father.
With a grunt, she got up and started to walk away from the house. She put the chain around her neck for safe keeping and decided she better leave. It was bad luck to be around death to much. As she was heading towards the entrance, she heard a soft rumble and quickly turned around. Her eyes scanned the land for anything that appeared to be alive and moving. Something blue moved to her left and she trained her eyes on it, trying to make out what it was. She drew closer to it and noticed that it was rather large and something very unusual.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
Catching the scent of the very girl from last night, she froze up as she could tell where she was from the air but she couldn't move her wings to let her see. Opening her eyes, she could tell the girl was near her tail yet she wasn't going to budge or twitch. Keeping still, she shut her eyes to pretend she was dead once more, wondering if the girl would cut the rope apart that way the dragon can scare her and run but remembered the pain. She couldn't remember, but the trap seemed to have used a type of material that kept her grounded. A small, rock-made ring was on her tail and to her, a dragon, it was heavy enough to keep her grounded. From her thoughts, though, she wondered if the girl could take it off because unless it was off, the dragon could only glide for certain points in time. Holding in her breath, she prepared to jump at the chance of escape and get away and not look back, this way she could try to reach the pit northeast of the village that was as deep as a lake and had a pond in its center, it large enough for her to stay at till she gets the ring off.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
Out of pure curiosity, Amity continued towards the large black mass as carefully as possible. From the angle she was at, she had no idea what it could be except very large and abnormal. She picked up the tattered edges of her dress and held them in her hand so if she needed to run again, it would be easier and must faster than stumbling over the hem. "Oh my!" she cried softly as she came closer and realized it was a dragon. Her hand flew up to cover her mouth and she took a few steps back upon realizing how big the beast was. Her purple eyes traveled all over the trapped the creature, drinking in her duo colored scales and her extreme size. "How did you get in this? We never set these types of traps anymore." she said out loud, wondering if the dragoness could understand her words. Amity was afraid to get to close, but she had to make sure she wasn't severely hurt. All she would have to do would be untie the knots and remove the rock from her tail, simple right? But what if she killed her once she was free? Amity stared at the beast for a couple minutes, wondering if dying in such a manner was appropriate. Both her parents had surely died that way, shouldn't she?

Her cyan optics opening quickly, she looked to the girl, the pupils of her eyes only in halfway of being slits. She stared at the girl, letting out a large huff and hardly knew these feelings. She felt like she could understand the human, like she had a special bond or connection to the creature, but she knew it would never happen. Lifting her head by only and inch, she looked the girl straight in the eye, actually scared to die herself, then laid her head back down and shut her optics to a close, not wanting to be too threatening to make them want to kill her while trapped here. Hearing the girl said they never did make these kinds of traps any longer, the dragon huffed again and made a bellowing groan in a soft manner. Dragging her tail slowly to the fins on her back, she was gonna run once they would get loose.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
Amity just watched the female for a moment, admiring how beautiful her scales were and just how lethal she appeared. "How could anyone want to hurt a creature such as you?" she asked softly, making eye contact with her just as she lifted her head and looked at her. Amity stared at her gorgeous eyes until the dragon put her head back down with a groan and closed them. Amity knew she had to free her. If there was anyone left out here, they would surely put an end to her. Thinking quickly, Amity moved away and began a search for something sharp to remove the ropes and rock with. She dug around the rubble hoping to come across a knife or a blade of some sort. Luckily, she found a dull butchering knife as she kicking around someone's floor boards. "I'v got something sharp." She called to the dragon as she approached it again, wielding the knife point away from her as to not scare her. Amity squatted down near one of the ropes and started to cut away at it, using the sharper edge to slice through the thick ropes her people created to sustain the creature.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
Here eyes opening wide, the large dragon stared at the girl as she felt her wings slowly become easy to flap and her body and legs loosening as she heard each snap of the rope and the minute she could move, she let the girl fall back as she rolled onto her legs and her wings stretched fully as she pounced on the girl and pressured her front palm on her, staring at her, growling lowly as she wanted to see how she would react. She felt fear from the human but knew it could be fearing her too, she she pulled back her head as she began to open her mouth, ready to breathe fire, but only lunged halfway and spoke in dragon. <"Don't follow me!!"> She roared at the girl right in front of her and backing away and flapping her wings, she did and snapping turn and tried to fly off but could only glide as the ring was too heavy to fully fly. With a a couple roars and few wailing roars, she took the way to the lake-deep pit in the earth at the woods, crashing into some trees as she fully disappeared.
With each hit, she made sure to try and hit the ring, but it wouldn't get off until she landed in the pond of the pit, only to crawl out and lay back down, it heavy enough that she felt tired again. Upset, she roared to the sky as she lifted herself up, releasing a strong blue flame until she made a thud with her head, exhausted and the feeling of weakness. Being a downed dragon, she knew she was a dead dragon, and she didn't want to feel or even be a dead one or in danger. Thinking about the human girl, she was feeling a bit guilty about being mean to the human, but she wasn't going to easily show respect, so she stood up carefully and burned the ground enough like volcano rock then laid down on the burnt ground, deciding to get comfy before thinking of her next move.

Re: A Child That Tamed The beast [R] ((x2 Human/Dragon RP))
Amity felt the dragoness shift and began to grow eager to move as she cut more ropes. Only a few were left and she was doing her best to get them off, If she was able to get them off quickly, she could cut the ring off too. But before she could do anything else, the dragon rose up from her grown and knocked her over, sending her sailing backwards. She landed on her back, a dull unf escaping her mouth, and sending the knife flying out of her hand. She looked to see where it landed just as a large claw came over her. Amity screamed as the dragon looked at her drew back her head, opening her mouth to spit fire. At this moment her dragon pendant began to heat up against her skin. So this is how she was gonna die? She was trying to save a creature and now it was going to kill her. Why did she even bother doing nice things? Closing her eyes to prepare to be cooked alive, she heard a feminine voice in her head and reopened them. She dragon had spoken to her. The pressure was removed from her chest as the dragon got up and tried to fly away, but the ring stopped it. "I would have taken the damn thing off for you!"she shouted after her.
Amity sighed and got up, brushing dirt from her ruined dress. She grabbed the knife and stared out at the spot the dragon flew towards. "She said not to follow her..but i must." She touched her necklace which was now cool and thought about why it had heated up as she walked back into the village. If she was going to track her down, she would need some supplies.

The dragon sighed, rolling on her side as she moved her head upside down, getting a bit wacky with her movements. She was hungry, bored, and even tired at this point. As she rolled herself onto her feet, she growled, seeing some birds in the sky. With a growl, the dragon crouched down then bust upward, grabbing her tail, mostly the ring, as she flew high up into the clouds, but as she snapped, she had no choice but had let go of her ring, pulling her down into a swift spin until she crashed into the lake, only to submerge with a fish in her mouth. <"Alright, so i can as far as a hawk's highest altitude, but not high enough to reach the clouds. If i can't fly high enough to reach the clouds, i'll never be able to get out of here; i'll do nothing but keep dropping!"> She thought and with another burst upward, she began to pick up the speed, aiming to get to her altitude long enough to get out of here by gliding far enough. With a groan, she knew the ring would soon pull her down so she opened her wings and began to float slowly down, taking her time to enjoy herself as she was in the air, remembering the days she only knew how to glide.

Amity had managed to find a small bag among the rubble and a few items she could take on her journey. With the bag on her back, she headed back out into the forest, leaving her old life behind. There were no survivors that she knew of other than herself, so what was the point in staying there? Taking a deep breath, she crossed into the woods and made her way in the direction the dragoness had flew off in.
Amity wasn't sure how long it had taken her, but she managed to find the area she was sure the dragon was in. As if to assure her, Amity looked up and saw the dragon gliding back down into what appeared to be small lake. "Found you."she said softly and picked up her pace. The small lake was just a head of her now and the dragon's shadow was hovering above it. Amity decided to be quiet and just sit on the edge of the lake and watch her until she came back down and found her.

Landing finally, she groaned as she was getting tired because of this stupid ring. Thrashing her tail without moving, she was hitting the ring on the rocks, yet it didn't come off. With a snort, she laid down, covering herself with her wings but stopped, seeing the girl on the other edge of the lake and growled lowly, hiding her head with her wings as well. <"You followed me, even though i asked you not to; why?"> The dragon asked, yet didn't dare peak out because she wasn't going to show she was curious about the girl. Thinking the human wouldn't understand anyways, she just let the ring on her tail slip out as she kept hidden, wondering if the female human just came here to get the ring off.

Amity remained sitting while the large dragon made her way back down to the lake. She had sat down beneath some large bushes to try and keep herself somewhat hidden so when the dragon came back, she wouldn't spook her off. With her arms wrapped around her pulled up knees, she waited until she felt the moment was right. When the dragon was curled up beneath her wings with the ring sitting out on a rock, she stood up and adjusted the bag on her back. The lake wasn't as deep as it usually was, so wading out to it wasn't so hard.
Reaching some rocks, Amity climbed up onto them and began walking across them to the dragoness. She took her time as to not scare her and to try and prove that she wasn't going to hurt her. "I just want answers." she said softly, knowing the dragon could hear her. The closer she got, the more the pendant around her neck heated up.
