Durnal continued to lick Pelican's ears, his eyes clouded with worry. "Stay strong Pelican." Durnal whispered before padding towards Delilah. "This ancient herb you spoke of." Durnal started. "Where is it?" Durnal asked, thinking he just may know it.

I looked at her, sadness feeling my eyes."Oh Genocide. I'm so sorry!" I said nuzzling her.

Genocide shrugged, and sighed, nuzzling him back softly. "Its okay. She's strong. Mom will pull through." Genocide told Kapu, looking at him softly.

I smiled, and looked at her,"Yes she is strong. And she scares the hell out of me." I said honestly. I tilted my head to the side, one of my ears flopping over. I laughed and straightened my head.

Genocide chuckled. "If anything, Layla scares the hell out of me." Genocide replied.

I smiled,"Layla has a sweet side, somewhere..." I said nuzzling her. I gently licked her cheek, not in a playful way, but kinda serious like...

"I don't know... Layla's pretty terrifying. I can tell she has a great future ahead of her." Genocide told him. She was taken by surprise by his affection.

I rubbed my head against her shoulder, grooming her a little. "Yeah, a wonderful future! But so do you..."

"Nothing compared to Layla's." Genocide replied. "Layla can have visions of the present and the future... She's a special wolf." Genocide added. She smiled softly as he groomed her.

I groomed her a little more, my teeth brushing over her fur. "You don't know. You could be more wonderful than Durnal, someday..." We could be more wonderful... He added in his head.

I looked at her,"You never know, all you'd have to do is make a pack, build it up, and be great." I said. I licked her back, my eyes shining.

I snapped at Heilos, and laughed and pushed him away. Then I looked back at Genocide, turning her head so she was looking at me,"Yes... I do. What about me?" I asked curious if I was coming on to fast.

"Of course I accept you Kapu... But.." Genocide sighed. "Now shoo. I'm working." She growled, patching her mother up again.

I looked at her happily, but frowned at the"but". I waited till there was a break in her work, and then looked back at her,"But what?"

I looked at her sadly,"Oh..." Was all I said. I turned away, out of the den.

I heard her call after me, but I ignored it. I stalked away to find Heilos. I wanted to get into some trouble, or at least go hunting.
