Auburn stretched out her paws, enjoying the last few rays of sunlight. Her two-legs would call for her soon. She flicked her tail as she could scent Lemmie right behind her. Giving a purr, she got up and rubbed against her. "Did your two-legs give you some of that tuna?" Lemmie asked jealously, licking her lips without even realizing it. "Yup, and I could smell more cans." She squinted her eyes as she looked farther out in the areas of nests. There was a path that the monsters ran past, and then more houses. She could see bushes and trees. "Hey Auburn, I can see a mouse." She said, touching her shoulder with her tail. She followed her up the stone fence, jumping on top of it in one bound. Auburn had to carefully climb it by hanging onto the stones that stuck out. She yowled as she felt Lemmie's paws on hers, trying to mess up her grip. "Stop that!" She hissed, but she was was already crouching down. Auburn followed suit, her tail held high. They jumped down onto a path surrounded by fences. She could see a little mouse chewing through a shiny black bag by a can. It wasn't a mouse, but it was a rat. "Lemmie, that's not a mouse!" She mewed, trying to distract her friend. Lemmie twitched her ears, but didn't react to her. Auburn gave a nervous glance, not liking to look of it. Finally she decided to jump forward, hoping to scare the rat. Lemmie hissed at her and the rat turned around, but didn't run. Instead it squeaked at her and charged. She gave a loud hiss and jumped back, the rat still trying to bite her. Lemmie ran forward and pounced on it, killing it quickly. She bent her head to sniff at it for a moment. "The rats bad." She said, picking it up with her paw and tossing it to the trash. "Oh well." Lemmie said, but then took a sniff. Her tail bristled and she jumped back, claws unsheathed. "Who's there?" She said, and Auburn's fur puffed up too.
