Shadowfire returned awhile later with a rabbit dangling from his jaws. He dropped it on the ground outside of the den and whined.

I got up,"What are you whining about?" I asked licking his muzzle and rubbing my body to his so he smelled like me and I smelled like him

He laughed and licked her face. "Nothing, I just wanted permission to come in." He gestured to the rabbit. "I brought home dinner."

I sniffed it and ate half of it and pushed it to him since he deserved some as well

He licked her cheek. "Alright, alright I'll eat." He quickly chomped down on the rabbit, licking his chops when he was finished.

I rubbed my head on his shoulder and laid down for the youngest pup to suckle and for Kiara to eat her food as I had stashed food for her

Kiara was curled up in a ball. She twitched every now and then in her sleep.
