"Saddie!" Dodger barked, racing after her. When Dodger reached the cave, he padded inside and licked her ears.

She cried harder when he licked her ears. She tucked her tail in between her legs. Her Mistress had left her twice. Even with Dodger there, she still felt alone.

Dodger cuddled beside her, grooming her ears. He cried lightly. It killed Dodger to see Saddie like this, once again.

She buried her face in his pelt and whined.

Dodger nuzzled her neck, and continued to lick her ears. "Do you want to get some food?" Dodger asked. 'She hasn't eaten much today.'

[Stormsong]

She shook her head and cuddled closer to him.

"The beach?" Dodger asked, gazing over at it.

[Stormsong]

She shook her head and pulled away. She curled up in a corner. "I feel so good Dodger. I think I'll stay here for the day."

"Alright." Dodger chuckled, curling next to her, a few inches away.

[Stormsong]

She stuck her nose under paws and cried softly.

"Saddie, please don't cry." Dodger whimpered, his tail tucked between his legs. Dodger had never cried in his life, but right now... He was.

[Stormsong]

She looked at him and sniffled. "Why are you crying?" she asked.

[P r o m i s e r]

"Because its so heart breaking to see you like this." Dodger replied.

[Stormsong]

"I didn't like being made to choose. I didn't like it," she whined. She curled up beside him.

[P r o m i s e r]

"I know, Saddie." Dodger replied, resting his head on her back.

[Stormsong]

She cried softly into his chest, until she slowly fell asleep.
