She snarled, prowling through the woods. Her wounded, but still beautiful and muscular figure visible in the forest. Starlight didn't mind the rain, and kept on walking. "I will never love again!" She growled, referring to her former mate who tried to kill her. Starlight was strong yes, but she wasn't motionless. She had feelings. Starlight's heart pounded wildly at the sight of a brute. To any brute she was flawless and breath-taking right on sight, but usually scared off later by her attitude.

Moon trotted through the forest. He was looking for a rabbit he had just lost, and he was also looking for someone to love. He was pure black, except for the half moon on his forehead, and two white toes on his front right paw. He was gorgeous to most she- wolves, but he had never wanted a mate, nor a pack. Except, for now. It was the height of mating season, and as he grew older, he felt his instincts telling him to pass his blood on. He held himself like an alpha, with his head and tail high. Then he noticed a smell. A smell he had not smelled in a long time, it was another wolf. Instantly forgetting about the rabbit, he followed the scent. The scent led him to a thicket of bushes. He warily poked his head through to see a beautiful fae. He shook his body to rid himself of the thorny grasp of the bushes and pushed through to the other side. There he stood proudly, looking at the wolf. "Hello there miss, who might you be?"

I gave him a glare, and growled. "I should ask you the same thing, brute!" She spat, her pelt prickling. Starlight was definitely not a wolf to piss off. She had killed wolves before, and in a way, she regretted it. "Starlight. Name's Starlight." She growled, her blue orbs gleaming, and her white pelt bristled.

I took in her beautiful white pelt, and blue eyes. "No need to get so upset. I'm Moon." I look her over, she must be part of a pack. She was to beautiful to be on her own. "So what brings you here?" I ask. I sit down, and shuffled my front paws, hoping I didn't look threatening, though why should I back down to a female.

Starlight settled a bit, but kept in a defensive position. "I was nearly killed by my mate." She growled, looking away. "Packs are crappy." She added, her beautiful eyes searching the sky.

Moon gasped in she wasn't in a pack, and she didn't have a mate. "I don't belong to a pack either. Nor do I have a mate." He answered her. Thinking fast he asked," So you wanna just stay here, or do you wanna go out and do somethin?" I look at her, my storm grey eyes asking the question.

Her eyes widened, and she completely snapped. "Do I look like I'm WANTING a mate! I just left 3 days ago you smartass!" Starlight roared brutally. "Think before you talk." She warned.

I looked taken aback. "I wasn't asking that!" I growled my temper rising,"I was just being friendly." I rose, and growled showing my teeth. My hackles raised and I was ready for a fight. She couldn't talk to me that way!

Raising to full height, my muscles bunched up. "Shut your face! I was an Alpha of my pack until my so called mate tried to murder me!" I snapped, my orbs now swirling with green and red.

She was obviously a formidable match, and I really didn't want to fight. "I'm sorry, your highness. I didn't mean to hurt you feelings." I spat out the words, a vile taste rising in my mouth. I growled a deep growl, but it was cut short. As I looked into her eyes, they had started to swirl with different colors. "What the hell! What wrong with you?" I was actually a little scared.

"Its the rage and fury I feel within me, Moon." She replied, her muscles tensed. The different colors stopped, and now her eyes were just blue. "I don't want to kill you. But go ahead. You do it now. See if I care." She growled.

I slowly untensed,"I don't want to fight." I said. I raised my head and tail up though and growled,"But I will and trust me..." I said with a grin,"You will not kill me." I had been trained by one of the best fighters in this forest, and I was not that easy yo beat, in fact I never had been beaten.

"Neither have I. I was trained by THE greatest in the forest." I replied, untensing. "Not even brutes were able to beat me." I added, my beautiful eyes clouding with sorrow. One thing I wasn't aware of was my heat scent.

I jerked back as a new scent hit me, she was in heat. She must have been hiding it. I groaned inwardly. "Ok so let's not fight and just talk." He said his musles tensing, as he breathed," Tell me about yourself." He again sat, staring into her depth-less eyes.

My eyes narrowed. "There's not much about me except that I was an Alpha, and trained by the best fighter in the forest. His name was Durnal." I replied.

"Oh", I said, as I heard the name. That was the only wolf that had beat my trainer. I whined slightly, then said," Thats nice, so what else can you tell me about yourself. Obviously thats not your whole life." I stretched back and scratched my ear with my hind leg.

"Well." I started, thinking back. "Back as a pup, I had these feathers pierced into my ear." I said, showing them to him. "Durnal pierced them into my ear. He was fearless, even after his father Talon was brutally murdered. Even after he was constantly abused by his mother." I told him, remembering the massive and muscular coal black male, that had emerald green eyes.

I looked at the feathers in her ears. Then told her my story. "I was found by my trainer when I was just a pup. I had been abandoned, and he took me in. He never told me his name. He trained me. Then one night, he just disappeared. So since then, I' ve been wandering around. Then I found you." I flick my ears at the sound of a twig snapping, and see a little bird. I laugh, as it flys away.

"Durnal was always a loyal Alpha. He went through so much as a pup." I replied, looking up at the sky. I watched the bird as it flew away, and yawned tiredly.

"Well, now would you like to do something?" I ask getting bored. There had to be something to do.

I shrugged, and scanned the area. There stood a brute about to attack Moon. My instincts caused me to leap on the male. Clawing his face, I bit his flank and leaped off before jumping right on him again, barreling him over on his side. He yowled, and clawed my face and scratched at my chest. I roared, and clawed his stomach and watched the male run away, yowling in pain. "You OK, Moon?" I asked him, cocking my head, my deep blue eyes clouding with concern.

I growled in rage, I should have known a stupid little bird could n,t break a twig like that. "Yah i'm fine." I'd been stupid, I hadn't smelled him, becuase of Star's heat scent. "You ok?"

I nodded. "I'm fine. I've gone through worse." I replied, laying down beside him. Without me knowing, my heat scent got stronger, for I was wagging my tail in excitement. I always loved fighting.
