Hate Comes Naturally (M, reserved)
Kyrin dug her claws into the branch she sat on, pretending it was her uncle's chest. The man drove her insane. Ever since her father had died, he acted as if he was some sort of king and could command them to do his bidding. He had to have had at least three of her pack members knocked up by now. She wished she could just kill him and get it over with. The red that tinted her vision distracted her from whatever prey might be near by, but if she didn't give herself time to calm down, then hunting would just be wasted time and she would have to face another boring lecture.
A familiar scent drifted towards her, and Kyrin inhaled deeply, eyes fluttering closed. The familiar musk of elk. Those hardly ever wandered into this territory. She swung down to a lower branch, pushing foilage aside to get a better look. Things got better and better. Judging by the tracks, there were several elk, all on the move. Headed towards a territory that she detested. One of those animals would be her's, no doubts about it. Kyrin dropped to the ground, golden eyes surveying the area like the confident predator she was. She placed her front paw/hand thingies on the ground, and kept her nose in the air. They must've passed by only an hour before she had arrived. That wasn't a problem. She tensed. It would be a hard run to catch up, but not that long. Her muscles coiled. Kyrin prayed they weren't already in the other pack's territory. Finally, her back legs propelled her forward, through the under brush with amazing swiftness. The thorns that tugged at her fur were paid no mind. The only thing she cared about was catching up the herd. Dust was kicked up under her rapidly moving paws, leaving a fading trail.

The bull lifted its head, looking straight at the spot where Kyrin was crouched. It snorted, oblivous to the threat that loomed over his herd. Kyrin grinned. These animals weren't very cautious. Shifting her weight, the werewolf narrowed her eyes, focusing her gaze on a female. Her muzzle was tinted grey, and a slight limp. There was to much grass and foilage for the elk to be skinny, even in their old age. She would do. Kyrin leapt from the cover of the under brush, heading straight towards her prey. They scattered, leaving the target to be killed. Her canines snagged the cow's leg, pulling it down nearly on top of her. The elk let out a cry of distress, which was quickly cut off by Kyrin's fangs.
Hmm, this was something her uncle would appreciate. Elk was a rare treat. She put a paw on the creature's shoulder, and smiled down at it. Yeah, Kyrin couldn't wait to rub this in his face.
(Blegh, sucky post.)
