Terric watched her, astounded. "You can light things on fire. With you hands..." Terric half-smiled then turned his gaze back on the water. "Thank you." The young man looked down, still seeing his regular armor on. He pulled off the heavy stuff, setting back with his sword and things, now just in breeches and a cotton shirt with his leather boots.

"Electricity, actually. Takes less energy if I use it for its intended purpose, which is shocking people." Rhilia smiled over at him. "I've never really had use for shocking anything." Something cracked in the trees behind them, and she turned around slowly, a single brow raised. "Nothing will harm you." Rhilia shifted back to her original position, waiting. "As long as you don't harm her." The sound of the river covered the smaller sounds of brush being pushed out of the way. Rhilia hummed quietly, focusing on the river with half closed eyes.

(I can't tell if that was her talking or someone else, so I'm going to choose the latter.)

Terric stood quickly, snatching his sword off the ground, and standing with it in a ready position. What was that? He had had enough for one day, he didn't need anything else to top it. The scar across his eye tingled with the chill of a spring wind, and his shirt billowed with the breeze.

Rhilia moved to her knees, grabbing his wrist and pulling on it. "No. She won't hurt you. I doubt you could hurt a child, anyway." She pulled a little harder, grumbling to herself. "Just come on out already, you're scaring the man!" Rhilia called, casting an amused glance up at Terric. Still nothing. "I'll be back..." She huffed, standing shakily and moving off into the trees.

She returned with a giggling, silver haired little girl. "Terric, Kio, Kio, Terric." Rhilia introduced them, and set the little girl back on her feet. "You shouldn't be here."

[b] "Oh, alright." Terric grumbled. Her put the sword back in its place, and watched as Rhilia went to retrieve a child. He stayed standing, gazing down at the two females in front of him. "Hello." Terric said, not showing much emotion in his face or tone.

Rhilia kept the girl close, looking at Terric as if he might hurt her. "Mother told me I could see you for a little while." Kio whispered. "You need to head back. It isn't safe here." Rhilia replied, kneeling down. "We wanted to make sure you were alright. You've been here for quite a while." Rhilia smiled, and stood once more. "I'm really sure about my breed anymore. They send little girls for messengers in a war ridden country." She shook her head, and patted Kio's back. "Go." She hesitantly obeyed.

(She'll have some purpose later, so I thought I would introduce her now)

Terric stood there, awkwardly, and watched Rhilia. He sighed, turned around, and kneeled by the river, cuping his hands in the water. he brought his dry, cracked hands to his mouth, and sipped the cool liquid, feeling it soothe his throat. Night was breaking, and the sun peeked out in a golden glow behind the clouds. Terric itched the back of his neck. Mosquitos. He hated the little things.

Rhilia came up behind him, head slightly tilted. "What are you doing to do?" She asked, kneeling beside him and running a pebble through her hand. "You have to have a plan. I might be able to help." The angel glanced around quickly, and then returned her gaze to him. "I have several scouts who could help you."
