Matilda's Loss (M)

~Past~

Matilda was just born. Very soon she was running along her mother's side along with her head held high and tail swishing. Although.. She didn't know she was born to be a slave by a forcer. Her mother was caught by the tremendous and fierce stallion about five years before she was born. At about five days after birth,her mother sneaked away from the stallion but,that lasted only minutes as she got caught and tragically killed. The stallion was going to kill Matilda to. The little foal galloped her way into a tiny spot and hid there,the stallion to big to even fit it's muzzle under the sharp thorn bushes she hid under. It's been now six days with no food,the stallion far away as she limps weakly about the fighting land. This wasn't a place for anyone to survive,not even a well witted stallion could face the scorching heat that emitted from the place.

~Present~

Matilda walks weakly along the plains,her eyes half shut as she grows weary from such days with little food that grows along the ground. Her body shakes and shows her ribs while her face is showing pure regret and pain. Her ears flatten as bugs swarm her bright coat. She nips at them,snorting and grunting as her small tall isn't long enough to swap them away. Oh how she wished she had her mother by her side!

A lone palominio stallion watched the young filly and snorted walking towards, "Hey there, don't worry I won't hurt you." He said in a gentle voice, "I'm. Xzander." He said bitting at a fly moving around her. "Come with me and I'll take you to the beach to cool off in the water. Then we can leave for foal forest...or we can look for your family?" He asked, he was only a yearling so they were both young horses on their own. He was supposed to be in a batcholer horse for saftey at the moment.

Matilda looked at him,her eyes slits. Her vision was blurry,the hot sun beating down on her as she trembled. She had no choice,nodding her head as she rubbed against his leg.

Xavior started walking slowly in the derection of Tickal beach's water. A your later the sand turned bloody red and dark evil looking water apeared. He trotted to it and jumped in spraying himself...cooling off. He watched their surroundings protectivly with blue eyes.

Matilda quickly dropped her body in the water,gulping down the red liquid as her body rolled in it to. This water made her feel so good. So,hyper. She jumped up to her hooves and gave a happy neigh. She skipped in the water until it came to her neck,swimming.

" I don't think you should drink that water...it's filled with blood." Xander informed her then went all the way under before coming back up and swimming to the beach and watch her.

Matilda didn't know what blood was,matter in fact she could barely speak. She was so young. Her vision started to come back as she swam toward the beach's sand,her hooves sinking in slightly. She smiled at Xander,prancing to him as she neighed joyfully. "Dadda!"

Xavior was shocked but shook this head, "No, Brother." He said the word brother slow and pulled out just in case it was new to her. He waited for a response and nuzzled her gentley. He smiled on the inside happily to not be alone anymore.

Matilda tilted her head,her ears pricked as she dragged out the word like him. "Brother!" she smiled,nuzzling him back and tugging his forelock as she sped off.

He chuckled and nodded, "Brother" he said again but normal and quitley. Turning he chased after her playfully. Kicking his hind hooves up he whinned and canter up to her but slowed so he was trotting behind her and reached this head out aiming to gently nip her, "I'm going to get you." He said in playful yet slightly dark sounding tone.

Matilda chuckled. She saw him behind her,her little legs lifting up and down as she tried to run faster. She let out a cute neigh as she heard his dark words.

Sudenly he have a playful buck but stopped turning his head with curiousity, "What is your name?" He asked then have chase and was running by her side no longer interested in playing tag.

She started to slow down. She understood those words,remembering her mother bragging about her by saying 'Go on Matilda,say your name' because she was one of the very few who could talk among her age group. "Matilda!" she said proudly,giggling.

"Beautiful, I'll call you.....Matty for short, it you like the nickname?" He asked the sped ahead slightly turning and leading her in a certain derection, Matty, do you want to find your family? Or shall we go to the foal forest?" He asked her in wonder

Matilda neighed a yes to her newly found brother. She liked it,Matty. Her head lifted as she heard the word family. She spoke childish. "No no,momma said to go! Mean boy travel with her!"

He listened with said eyes,"Oh" he said understanding that the mare was probaly murdered. Nodding he headed to foal forest in a swift pace. He looked back every so often to make sure she was fallowing him and hadn't curiously wounder off or stop to rest. He suddenly bucked playfully for no reason, a random act of joy of having a new sister.

Matilda was at his side,near his hindquaters as she chased him. She looked at the lively forest,leaping with joy.

When they finaly reached the foal forest he laid down tiredly for the night was the sun fell down and under the horizion.

(Should we make new topic in Foal Forest or should I usr my mod powers to split this topic and place it there?)

Matilda circled her brother,nudging his back. "Brother! I'm not tired though!" she whined.

Xavior snorted, "I am" he spoke sleepily but stood and went to a creek and drank thristily then began to graze waiting for her to be tired.

Matilda frolicked about,tiring herself out eventually as she yawned. She plopped herself on the ground,almost instantly passing out.
