It was a breezy night,the golden furred female wolf slowly crept out of an abandoned bear cave. Her fur glistened in the moonlight,her golden eyes matching perfectly with the shining stars overhead. She was in heat also,her tail pressed against her legs to hide the strong scent. Her head held low as she padded away from the safety of her own home toward a large hill. There,she stalked inside the thick bushes,light on her feet as she awaited the long line of Elk that seemed to be migrating through this hell hole. Her body crouched low to the snow,one paw lifted as she shook her haunches,the heat scent slowly working across the field as her eyes locked on a certain elk.

Mavin crouched in the undergrowth, his muscles quivering as he tried to lie completely still. His orbs soon migrated to a sight that caused his blood to bubble in rage. A female was there, trying to kill his food. He had been tracking this herd for days and only at dawn had he located them. His teeth shone as he angrily flashed them at her. Suddenly Mavin had to rethink this; here a female. It was breeding season; she was bound to be in heat. True, he was a forcer to some point, but his method was a bit more time consuming than others. He knew, from basic knowledge that it was virtually impossible for a lone wolf to take down an elk. With two it just might be possible. Retracing his steps as to travel back into the underbrush, using his senses Mavin suddenly was quite close to the female. “Hello” He whispered warmly, his eyes shining as he gave off a sense of happiness. “We can help each other… take down one of these cloven-hoofed beasts” Mavin mumbled, trying not to make too much noise as to alarm the herd. His deeply golden eyes bored into hers, awaiting her reply.

Chantelle was surprised,and yet scared. She saw this lone wolf,and shivered as he stood close to her. Her eyes examined him carefully. A forcer? She thought until he asked about hunting. No! With a slight bob of Mavin’s head, he raced off as he stalked quickly towards the elk. His muscles tingled as he waited for the perfect moment. Then he leaped, his strong legs heaving his large build off the ground and into the elk. He dove straight into the broad side of a male’s neck. Chantelle bounded off the ground,swift and light on her feet as she leapt onto the other side of the Elk's massive neck. She hauled it down,her strength and weight helping her a lot. All besides Mavin. Her ears pricked in his direction as her heat scent flared about the vast field. "Shall we feast?" She asked him,quite curious as to who eats first.

Mavin’s crimson eyes shone brightly, seeing that the elk had stopped breathing. “We shall both eat; I don’t see why one should eat before the other, since we both took it down.” With that notion Mavin began tearing into the meat, chewing and swallowing in a hasty fashion. In between gulps he glanced at her. “I never caught your name did I? Mine’s Mavin.” Mavin’s nose tinged at scent of her heat slowly pouring into his nostrils. He held back the urges he had, he was patient when it came to this kind of thing..

All she's been doing was running from wild packs.

“No it is my pleasure dear” He replied, his deep charming voice ringing in her ears. His eyes stared right into hers, as if trying to catch her eye. “So, what is your story? Like why are you here? Don’t you have a pack?” He threw these questions at her… watching her inquisitively as he awaited her response. Mavin took another chomp out of the elk, gnawing on it quietly as to hear her speak. His orbs soon moved to the motion of the blood dripping slowly out of the chest cavity and into a small puddle.

She stopped eating,chewing a rough piece very thoroughly as she began to think. Why was she here? "Well,I am here because my pack got taken over by another male and,I ran away. “I, I am now.” Mavin mused, his voice lowering. “Come with me” He ordered, rather sternly. For if she wanted to hear this she would have to follow. Mavin trotted off to a dark part of the forest. It took a while for him to navigate through the heavily clumped trees into one very small clearing. He sat back on his haunches and waited for her, quite a troubled yet innocent look upon his maw. She had now idea what was about to hit her.

She was curious even more now,quickly getting up and ignoring his voice. She wasn't close behind him,as she heard animals creeping around; Squirrels,rabbits,and other wildlife made her ears prick and stop in her tracks. She ignored them after awhile,chasing after him as she slowly halted to a stop,sitting down not far from him as her heat scent drifted around. She didn't know what could happen,only wanting to hear more stories.

Mavin's eyes softened... they were cute for pups. And atleast a few of them resembled him. "What are their genders?" Mavin questioned, his tone was soft though it told if she did't answer him promptly he wouldn't hesitate to massacre the pups.

"Three are males,the others are females." she said,pushing the males closer to her including the females. She wanted none of her pups killed,they were her family now.
