"well sounds like your getting there already." Leo said. he did not reply to the second part, only watched the horses.

Sundar returned the action and groomed Melody. his teeth clicked together as he groomed her. When she moved her body, Sundar lowered his head to sniff her rump. he jolted his head up and lifted his upper lip, guiding the scent into his nostrils. he lowered his head again, this time, nudging her tail. he snorted.

Leo stood up properly and turned to face Emma. "ready for what? the breeding? no. that happens in a week." he said chuckling. "we could breed them now but i highly suggest we do a teasing session each day this week and finally breed them at the end of this week. that way, it is alot more likely that Melody will be impregnated at the time that they breed. if you do choose to do it sooner, the soonest time will be tomorrow. that way i can prepare Sundar. you know, run some tests and get him cleaned up." Leo responded. "im sorry if this is an inconvenience."

Emma turned and looked at him, her eyes flashing annoyance. "It throws everything off.." she said as she looked back at Melody who was nosing Sundar passionately. "Tomorrow would be best. I don't have the time to wait a week." She crossed her arms and tapped her foot against the fence post as she argued with herself in her mind, A week? Ha! What's he think this is? A top notch breeding facility for higher maxed breeds? She snorted softly, No, im not looking for anything fancy and i know Melody doesn't care just as much...

Leo was a bit taken aback by her snappiness and annoyance. "you do realize it is much less likely for Melody to be impregnated the first time around if we dont Tease them at least three times. how about you keep Melody here free of charge for the night just so i can tease them two more times?" he paused. "or we can just do the breeding tomorrow without any more teasing sessions. your choice." he responded. he said this in a business manner. he was just stating the facts for the business goal at hand.

Emma nodded her head, "Fine with me. I have some stuff to take care of tonight anyway." She uncrossed her arms and scratched an itch on her bare skin. She concentrated on it while Melody finished up her first teasing session with Sundar. Without a glance towards Leo, she moved into the pasture and called for Melody. The mare kissed Sundar's nose before trotting briskly to her girl. Emma latched the lead back on and led her from the pasture into the barn full of mares. She hitched Melody up to some cross ties near an empty stall and began to clean and fill up a new water bucket. She put some hay in the hay net and then started to brush her down while she talked softly to her.

Emma talked to her about Leo. She rattled on about how he didn't own any of the three studs he offered, he didn't even own this facility. How could she be with a guy who had hardly anything she was looking for? Emma was a needy woman, a woman who knew what exactly she wanted and hoped to get it. She also didn't like a guy telling her how to take care of business with her ow horse. In the past, she just let the stallion loose in her paddock and them take care of it. Melody was pregnant every time.

With a shrug, she led her big mare into the roomy stall and did one last thing to her. She wrapped a bind around her dock of her tail and patted her rump. "There you go girl, i should be back in the morning for your big day." she kissed her nose and left the stall, locking the double bolt behind her.

Leo watched her call her horse and he did the same. he stepped inside the small paddock and called Sundar's name and then whistled. the Stunning stallion nonchalantly walked over to Leo. he stood still as Leo slid the halter over his face and fastened the lead rope on. Leo turned around and pushed the gate open more and led the stallion out of the paddock. "how did you like that boy?" Leo asked the stallion. he led Sundar into his big stall and slid the lock closed. he walked over to the grain barrel and got a scoop and put it in a small bucket sort of thing. he brought it into Sundar's stall and layed it on the wood shavings. these were grains that the male horses were fed to escalate their testosterone levels before breeding. it was another way to enforce that the mare gets fertilized. Sundar lipped it up into his mouth and licked the remainings on the bottom. Leo fetched the bucket and put it back into the grain room. Leo took Sundar's halter off and hung it on the outside hook. he patted his neck and left the stall once again.

Leo then went to go check on melody. he arrived at her stall and rubbed her nose.

Melody heard foot steps coming down her hall and lifted her thick head over the grate that was a window. Her ears perked forward as the foot steps grew heavier. They were not Emma's. She saw Leo coming towards her and she eyed him, unsure of how she should react to him. Deciding he was okay, she let her head sag as he stroked her nose. She blew into the palm of his hand and with drew back into her stall to grab some hay. She tossed her head back over, spilling pieces of straw all over Leo.

Emma climbed briskly into her truck and backed it up so she could park the trailer and leave it over night. She jumped back down and began the task of unhooking it.

Leo chuckled at melody's action. he gave her a quick pat on the neck and continued of to complete his night time rounds of feeding the horses and putting them to bed. With Sundar though, this was a different routine. Leo roused Sundar after all of the other horses were done. they passed Melody's stall on the way to the paddocks. Sundar nickered a hello and held his head up high. Leo put Sundar in the Paddock.

Leo then walked back to Melody's stall and led her to the other paddock. Sundar once again nickered hello when he smelled her. his nostrils widened as he took in more of her scent. Leo let her loose and closed the gat behind him. he waited.

Sundar immediately trotted over to the edge of the fence. "hello again sweet Melody." he snorted in excitement.

Melody snorted and flared her nostrils as Leo led her from her stall and out into the cool evening. She knew Emma had already left, her scent was no longer anywhere to be found and she sighed sadly. Leo let her loose in a paddock and she surged forward, trotting briskly around the paddock before she heard a familiar hello. She spun around, eyed her darkening surroundings and spotted Sundar. With a smile on her face, she trotted over to the fence and nosed his cheek. "Good evening." she cooed.

"your name fits you. your voice is like a melody that my ears thirst for." Sundar said. he flicked his tail and stomped his hoof. he bobbed his head up and down. his forelock spreading out across his freckled forehead. he let out out a warm slow breath through his nostrils. he breathed deeply, smelling her.

Melody snorted, "Well aren't you just the romantic." She leaned closer to the fence, swatting flies with her tail. She threw her head up and whinnied before tossing it over the barrier between them and rested it against Sundar. "Im sorry, but iv never done all this jazz before."

Sundar did not reply to her words. he only responded by lifting his head up and raising his upper lip when she swatted her tail. he moved along the fence. he rested his muzzle on her rump. he then tossed his head up and down smelling her again. he nudged her dock to the side. some of her tail hairs fell onto his nose. he dismissed them with no thought. he took in a big whiff of her scent. he threw up his head in fury it almost seemed like. he once again raised his upper lip. he lowered his head back to her vulva.

Melody's ears went flat against her skull and she swung her hips to the side, away from him. She bared her teeth and grew rigid, her body tense, and she snorted. The black mare stomped her hoof in annoyance, but stayed near the fence, not looking at Sundar who took obvious interest in her scent.

"i know that this is your first time, and i know that you are nervous. but the more you cooperate, the better. trust me Melody." he said. he nudges her in reassurance. he tilts his head and grooms her crest. her mane moves back and forth with his teeth.

Melody snorts and throws her head back , laughing a girly laugh. "Oh Sundar, this isn't my first time mating.., its my first time having to actually go through this whole teasing process!" she giggled again and leaned farther against the fence, pressing into him.

Melody sighed and moved so her back end was pressed against the fence. She docked her tail to give him a better view and easier access, "Alright."

"okay. i think that is good for this session." Leo said to the horses as he walked to the gate of Melody's paddock. he unhooked the latch and clipped her lead rope on her halter. he left her halter on because he did not know how easy she is to catch. he led her out of the cleanly painted white paddock and into her temporary stall. he slid the door stall door locked and went to go fetch Sundar.

Leo clipped the halter onto Sundar's slender face. he led him to his large stall and let him loose. he filled up his grain bucket with the special oats again. Sundar lipped up a mouthful and crunched the tasty oats with his jaws. Leo loved that sound. he stood in Sundar's stall feasting his ears on the sound, just as Sundar was with the oats. When he was done Leo bent down and picked up the oat bucket. he walked back to the feeding room and placed the bucket on a shelf under a tag that read Sundar.

a few hours later Leo roused the two horses for another session. "sorry guys but this just has to be done." he said as he took the lead rope off of Melody's halter and let her loose into the pasture next to Sundar's. He leaned against the tree under the moon. he slid down it and fell into a light sleep.

Melody grunted as she was aroused from her slumber. She enjoyed sleeping peacefully and undisturbed but this Leo guy had other plans for her. She shook out her mane before slowly walking out of her stall and following him down the hall, her hooves clomping heavily against the pavement. Back out in the pasture, she sniffed the air and moved casually towards the pasture fence where she was Sundar, looking equally as tired.

"He can apologize all he wants for this, but it just means ill have no energy for tomorrow." she huffed as she brushed her mug along his neck then glanced at the man sleeping against the tree.

"this will only take a minute. then we can both go back to sleep and rest up for tomorrow." Sundar Said sleepily. he hoped she would make this easy and turn her rump towards him to sniff. although he was tired, he knew that after all of this, his reward would be worth it. her scent woke him up a bit, although he remained slightly tired. he leaned far over the fence.

Leo slept.

Melody grunted and swing her hips against the fence, facing away from him completely. She lowered her head and closed her eyes, tossing her tail to the side and sighing. "Alright."

Sundar pressed his muzzle against her rump. he lifted his head up in excitement and curled his upper lip. he let out a squeal.

leo awoke to the squeal. he walked over to the fence. "sorry guys. i fell asleep on you." Leo led the two horses back to their stalls.

he went to bed.

the next morning the birds were chirping and the sun had risen. Leo got prepared.

Emma grunted as she pulled herself from the tangled mass of sheets and blankets. She gripped her head as she fought off a terrible migraine and struggled to find the pill bottle on the dresser. Without her contacts or glasses, she was better off legally blind. Popping an aspirin, she got up and made her way to the bathroom where she showered and got dressed. Ruby scratched at the door to be let out. "Your not coming back in." Emma told her as she slid it shut behind her.

Parking the massive trailer and truck at the Ashwood Stables again, she realized that there would be a new colt around her place in 11 months. The idea of new life excited her and as she climbed down from the cab, she giggled. Making her way to the barn, she found Mel and kissed her nose. "Ready for today?" The mare seemed to roll her eyes and breathed into her face.

Leo woke up extra early in order to get Sundar ready. After he had pulled up his tan britches and put on a dark blue/black polo shirt, he combed his hair and headed down to the barns.
"hello handsome" Leo said as he arrived at the stall. he slid open the latch to his stall and stepped inside. Leo turned around and reached around the outside of the stall where Sundar's halter hung. Leo slid it over his slender face and clipped the lead rope on. Leo lead Sundar to the outdoor shower area. Leo tied him up to the metal ring hanging off of a metal pole sticking out of the ground. Leo walked away, and returned with a soapy bucket of water, and a big yellow sponge. Because Sundar was still half asleep, his tool was hanging far out of it's sheath. leo slid on some yellow gloves that looked like kitchen gloves. he dipped the bucket in the soapy water and started rubbing the sponge over Sundar's tool. His tool pulled in a bit out of surprize. Leo scrubbed all of the dirt and dead skin off of it. When Sundar pulled his tool in, Leo cleaned Sundar's sheath. he took a small hose and sprayed it, softening up the left over dirt and anything else that got stuck in there. he put his fingers in the sheath, taking out little bits of dirt and stuff. he applied some special soap and repeated. He sprayed his sheath with the hose again, and turned the hose off. Leo took the gloves off, and patted Sundar on the rump. Leo untied him and led him to another hitching post, and left him there. He waited for Emma to arrive.
