A puff of fog clouded around his nose as Michael breathed out, his hazel eyes searching the snow for any sign of her.
His thin lips turned down when he realized and faced the truth.
She wouldn't come...
She never came...

He woke with a start, his breathing heavy and his body covered in a sheen of sweat. Michael rubbed the back of his neck and let his head collapse onto his pillow. He rose, stumbling into his lonely kitchen and pulling out a glass. It chimed against the others in the cupboard in a mocking tone. Michael shook his head and filled the glass with ice-cold water. The liquid was of little use to him, but it cooled down his body as he drank it. He set the empty glass on the counter and made his way to the shower. He turned the water cold, and sighed. After washing and rinsing, Michael stepped out of the shower and pulled his towel from the rack. He dried himself then dressed in blue jeans, a blue shirt, and a grey jacket. He stepped into his shoes and grabbed his keys on the way out of his home.

Michael pushed open the door to the pub, and sat himself down in a small corner. His hazel eyes looked for his breakfast with surprising ease. Michael preferred blonde girls, with blue eyes. The pure ones tasted best, but he'd rather look in the pub so he settled for the others. He found a girl, she had dirty blonde hair and a gorgeous figure. He watched her a moment, then stood from his seat. Michael's stomach growled angrily when he caught her scent. A friendly but deceiving smile rose on his thin lips. He placed his hands on her prominent hips and she dipped low. He pulled her against him, and his eyes locked onto hers. She watched him a moment, then leaned close and she kissed him hard on the lips. He smirked behind the kiss and led the woman outside into the rain. She didn't seem to notice, but kept trying to kiss him. Michael pushed her hard against a wall and listened to her excited heartbeat. He leaned close to her neck and nipped at the skin. It broke, and crimson, warm blood coated his mouth. The thick substance ran down his throat and he moaned. She squirmed and cursed at him, but he grabbed her hands and pushed them against the stone wall she was pinned against. She shrieked, telling him he was hurting her. He grinned, and pulled away from her neck to look at her. "Oh I'm sorry... Lindsay, is it?" He said, gathering the information from her blood. He grinned, his teeth coated with her blood. She cried out, and he turned his attention to his breakfast once more. Her screams were in vain, as they were far in the alleyways that few people wandered through.

[ Gosh finally I have time to reply. I wanted to make sure I replied with a long decent post ; was gonna start yesterday, but my mom took the phone from me because I use hers to get on the internet. Lol. Kk one sec I'm starting now. Don't worry, I didn't forget ]

The night air blew into the young vampire's ears as she headed towards the... modern pub and walking in with her flawless attractive skin and brown hair flowing from her waist. As the door closed, it created a gust of wind that sent her hair flowing in her face. She drew in a soft hand to remove the hair from her eyes. Her eyes quickly flashed a red that showed the evilness inside her, the poisioness that would never leave, but no mortal noticed of course. The people in the whole club didn't notice her at once, but some of the men did. She was in a painful thirst that she had to quench. She was different from most vampires. So this could be easy to handle. She walked to a biker in a leather jacket and looked pretty young. She flashed one of her celebrity smiles and looked at him. "Hello." she said. He seemed litterly faxed when he met her eyes, because her eyes was manipulating him. He gave a flirty smile and she knew she had him just where she wanted him. "Hello beautiful. What's you name?" he asked. "Lorina." she answered innocently. The name was close but she came to the bar a lot. She usually changed some of her features so the man wouldn't get suspicious. He nodded. Soon they were bonding and she was getting pulled in the bathroom. Now she had her target just where she wanted him. She kissed him and put a hand down his chest before grabbing his wrist, looking into his eyes to hypnotize him. She dug her nails in his wrist before leaning in and drinking some of his blood to quench her thirst before healing it and leaving him fazed, he'd wake up not remembering a thing. Good. She turned, first sping some water to get the blood out and then returning the pub.

Michael finished his meal, and ran a now pink tongue across his stained teeth. The blood disappearing from his fangs. He sheathed them, and disposed of the woman's body further down the alleyway. A sigh parted Michael's lips, and he cracked his stiff neck. The feeling relaxed his muscles, and he rolled his neck. He stepped back inside the bar, but this time relaxed at the bar. A breeze drifted through and ruffled Michael's jacket. He turned to look at the woman, who had fair skin and gorgeous brown hair. Uninterested and full, he turned his attention to the bartender. The man set his rag behind the counter and leaned casually against the bar. "So, what can I getcha?" He grinned, his teeth surprisingly well kept and his hair combed back neatly. Michael was impressed with this man's class, when most bartenders of the age were long-haired men with rounded bellies and yellowing teeth. He returned the man's smile with a friendly smirk before ordering a beer. He didn't specify the brand, and he didn't really care which one he received. A distancing quiet returned to the bar as the only occupied seat was vacated when the woman stole him away behind the pub.

Morena looked around the pub, noticing someone coming in from the door to the allyway. Looking at him, Morena couldn't help but feel suspicious. She tried to block everyone else's scent out and just focus on his own, but she just couldn't. She couldn't exactly do that yet. Slowly, she made her way over towards where he sat, and took a seat next to him. He looked straight ahead and then tried to smell his scent then but again, too many people. She had to get him alone somehow probably, or get close. She looked at him, giving a winning and innocent human smile. Like she was just a young girl out to party. "Hey." she said quietly looking at the good looking bartender and nodded. "Coke please."

Michael glanced over at her, and cocked an eyebrow.
She had willingly sat herself beside him. He casually took a drink of his beer before turning his head to look at her. She was brunette, but had beautiful eyes. She didn't smell right, however. He nodded, "Hello". Michael leaned his body against the well polished table. His green eyes washed over her frame, still unsure. Why had she moved to him? After all, he wasn't the 'dating' type. The only reason girls usually fell for him was because of the hypnosis he contained. Michael took a nonchalantly heavy breath, and examined her scent once more. He couldn't quite place what was so odd about her. Her perfume? No. It couldn't be that... It was her blood. Something about it seemed.... wrong. He had never met another of his kind, and therefore never really knew what they looked or smelled like. He crunched a peanut in his fingers and tossed the shell away. Popping the snack into his mouth and pretending to enjoy the bland food, he looked back at the woman. "Where you from?" He asked, a typical question that he hoped would help him place her exotic scent.

Morena saw the arch of his eyebrow and chuckled lightly. As she was handed the coke, she mixed it around. She grinned at him and just shook her head. "Speechless?"[/b?] she asked in a manipulative coated voice when he finally said hello, she touched his arm and looked into his eyes. [B]"Lorina." she murmured and then heard when he asked where she's from. He seemed kinda careful about what he said. He seemed kinda tense. Did he possibly know? How? Was he possibly... her kind? She shifted in her chair and gave a more attractive smile. She looked down at his arm, his flawless, ageless skin. It must've been up. She took a long time to respond. Not only because he was hesitant, but because she was just sensing it then. She calmed herself and looked back up at him. "Flordia... you?"

Michael grunted mockingly at her comment.
His eyes trailing across the hgihways of dark and light that traversed the glossed, wooden bar. He turned in his seat to fully face her, his green eyes locking with hers. "Humid there, I hear" He responded, and adjusted the collar of his jacket. "England" He said and ran a hand over the brass edging of the counter. "I'm from England" He clarified his words before taking another drink of his beer. The flavor was right, but still dull. The fizz was what Michael found most enjoyable about drinking. This was why he drank carbonated drinks more than others. A breeze whipped Michael's hair into his eyes and he brushed it away casually. He glanced over the woman's slender shoulder, seeing a thick red head in jeans and a halter top stride into the building. Losing interest after examination, Michael looked back to the mysterious creature before him. "New perfume?" He asked her, wondering if there was a new brand.[l

Morena saw him looking over her shoulder, after hearing where he's from. She looked behind her shoulder seeing the redhead walk in with jeans and a halter strapped shirt. She looked back and looked down at her coke, toying with the straw again. "Um... if you aren't intrested you can go see a girl that caught you eye." she said and looked up to hear him ask if she had new perfume. She gave a confused smile and blinked a couple of times. "Excuse me?" she asked. He must have been. He probably was trying to figure if she was a vampire. But she had to make sure. "Oh... yeah. You like it?"

Michael shrugged. "Sure" He said, ignoring her comment. He was full, and a little small talk never hurt anyone, right? "It's different than most, but it's pretty good." He said and rested his chin on his fist.

Morena tried catching his eyes to try to hypnotise him, hardly focusing on their "small" conversation. She raised her eyebrows and gave him a questioning look, cocking her head. "So I saw you came from the door of the allyway.... why didn't you just enter from the front?" she asked, giving a toothy grin, showing her perfectly straight and flawless teeth.

Michael lifted his eyes to meet hers. He found a strange tint to them, but thought little of it. "It's a little shortcut... I live on the other side of town and prefer to walk" He said, easily gliding over the excuse. He had been asked the question a couple times in the past. He pulled a strand of hair from his face and slid the glass that held his beer from his left hand to his right. Michael took a long drink and set it back down. The bartender took his glass and topped it off, knowing Michael and how he didn't mind the extra expense. Michael knew the bartender milked him for his change, but he honestly didn't mind. He didn't use it for much else.

Morena met his eyes for that quick moment, but that moment wasn't long enough to manipulate him. She wondered if she could even manipulate a vampire. She was about to just give up by his excuse when she came up with an idea. A smile creeped up on her face, more thoughtful than the first ones, less acusing than the others. "Great. I think I'm going to hit the road. Maybe I should try that shortcut." she murmured, handing the bartender the glass cup and giving him a tip. She looked at Micheal, seeing how he would react to that. He didn't know her real name, he think she had came from Flordia, and now she had to get at him. Gosh this was fun with suspense and all.

Michael grinned at her response and he shook his head slightly. The bartender tapped out a tune as Michael pulled out a $20. He handed it to the bartender, who put the money in the cashier register. The extras he placed in his tip cup and disappeared behind the layers of alcohol. Michael looked over at the woman. "Have fun, just avoid some of the nasty turns... You never know what you'll find" He said, and winked at her. It was more of a 'you don't know what you're getting into' wink than anything else, though.

Morena hated that he wasn't really giving anything away. He must've been a laid-back vampire. But she was for sure he was. This Micheal. Hearing what responded with, she snorted and looked at the allyway door, before heading towards it and heading towards the ally. She sniffed it with her sensitive nose. Defiently Micheal's scent, blood and a human girl. He followed the scent til he found the girl. She growled silently and turned, heading towards the allyway door and hiding in the shadows. She was ready to confront him.

Michael turned forward and shook his head lightly. Some woman, he thought. She was rather pressuring, and he was curious. He hated that he was, though. He'd rather forget about everything and move on. With a sigh, he pushed his glass away from him and walked towards the door. He pushed it open, and the woman's scent filled his nostrils once more. He jumped forward, letting the door slam shut. As he turned, he saw her beside the door- waiting for him. "Florida, huh?" He snorted, realizing that she was another vampire. He pretended not to be surprised, although he really was on the inside.

Morena saw the door fly open and she didn't even need her smell or hearing to know it was him - no one else really came through here anyway. When she heard what she he said, she chuckled and looked at him. "Hell of an excuse from a shortcut. What? Get in a little rumble with a girl? Or ya just a bloody murder?" she asked and chuckled with an eye roll, quick as lightening, she had him pinned to the wall and her eyes flashed. "I do know you a vampire. And I know feel I am to. You can't lie to me I'm too clever for that." she said seductivly turning away, not really able to belevie there was another vampire here in this state.

Michael's eyes flashed when she pinned him, and he wasted no time gripping her throat and turning the tables. He lifted his lip in a slight snarl. "For someone who attacks their own kind- I think it petty to accuse me of being 'just a murderer'" He said, tightening his grip. Michael was prepared to kill her if it was necessary, not that he'd enjoy it. He assumed by the smell that her blood wasn't going to be very satisfying. He released her and glanced at the door. He didn't look away for too long- not trusting the woman. "I'd hope so. If not, our kind is doomed." He said in response to her claiming to be too clever for him to fool her.

Morena was surpirsed when he used an attack like grabbing her throat. She made no move though to show that she was frightened, because she truley belevied she had a chance of winning. She heard what he said when he let her go and she took a quiet long breath. "Seems like it's already doomed, seeing that you go around murdering girls like it's okay." she retorted smartily, trying to control herself from attacking him. She balled her hands into fists.

Michael nodded, a surprised grin playing on his lips. "Ah. I've met one of those vamps. The kind that prefer their blood from plastic bags in the fridge." He snorted, and paced silently. He kicked a rock, and it echoed down the alleyway. "It is okay. Do you see how many humans there are? They kill each other, for God's sake. I think it's slightly reasonable. Not to mention how many animals they take. Our relationship with them is no more than a lion's to a gazelle's..."

Morena looked at him, hearing his words. Yes, it seemed true on what he said, she did find much truth in his words but it proved nothing, of course. Even though humans killed each other there was many more innocents in this world than he seemed to know. "That girl seemed pretty okay to me." she shot back. "I actually do drink blood from humans but without actually killing them. So I can be satisfied and they can still be alive."

Michael rolled his eyes, anger burning inside him. "You are a coward, as are others of your kind. Too involved with their ways to do what your own kind does." A shake of his head confirmed how passionate he was about the subject. "I'm embarrassed, both of you and for you" He said and headed down the alleyway. He was done with this conversation, and with this woman. She was more human than vampire. Why save a creature of such greed and lust? After all, if they weren't intelligent enough to figure out a defense against our kind, then it was their fault and not ours. We were, in a way, helping their kind by picking off the more oblivious ones.

Morena was angered when he called her a coward. She was prepared to kill him but that would be dumb. Instead she turned and walked away while he was in mid-sentence. But then she turned while he walked away, a disbelief smile glued to her lips. "You are just angry because humans have more of a heart than you ever will, that they are god's creation and you are nothing but the devil's creation. You are just mad because human's age and get to have an actual life and children when... you have to run, stay in the shadows and endlessly feed off the innocent's blood. Well, to hell with you." she growled. She knew she was talking half about herself, but she didn't mind. She pointed out more flawless things in a human more than she ever did in a vampire. She was just glad was she was out of the alley and away from them and took a deep breath, walked down the street, heading towards her nice expensive blue car before heading towards her mansion. Oh Morena may not have been what he had in mind in a book: a blood-thirsty vampire who constantly kills - but she had killed many in her young years of life. And was surprising on how many. She just wasn't going to be confronted by a dumb ass vampire.

Michael shook his head in disbelief at her comments, but he didn't turn around. His jaw tightened, and he balled his hands into fists. His knuckles flashed white at the tenseness that pulled at his joints and muscles." You don't know me, woman" He spat, turning around to watch her disappear around a corner. His heart constricted around his lungs, and he forced himself to release the pent up breath. Michael straightened his jacket and briskly walked down the alleyways. He ignored the scent of blood and death as he did so. He could care less about feeding right now, he just wanted to get home and divulge himself in something that would take his mind away from her and the pain that traveled at her side.
