My ears flop around at the sides as I trot over towards the large oak tree. I plop myself down with a small sigh and lay my head on my fore paws. The sun shines through my eye-lids, brightening the darkness I try to sleep in. My tail thumps as I hear the guns shooting. I'm up on my paws in 3 seconds and panting. When the guns go off, it means someone is hunting, which means I can hunt for their meal and steal it while they kill it.
I break into a run and cross through the meadow of beautiful violets. I don't have time to think of them, I know that when the two-legged kills the prey, they will try and pick it up, so I must hurry if I want to have time to snatch the meal.
Another gunshot goes off, piercing my eardrum. I wince, but move on.
Suddenly, I'm out of the forest and in a green meadow. Crouching low to the ground, I wait silently for a two-legged to shoot the prey. Thankfully, the gunshot goes off to my right and I pounce. I land on a large turkey. I drag the whole animal towards my den, happy with my snatch. I wag my tail, but don't have time to stop. The hunters will be wondering where the turkey went. I pick up my pace and go into a fast sloppy trot. My teeth grasp the neck of the female turkey and I find my hidden den at last.
My den leads underground, a place where most humans would be afraid of. I drag the turkey in and cover the blood it left. I wait silently, panting. I hear running footsteps and quiet. At last, they leave and I dig into the turkey, licking my lips and smiling.
This was a great feast. I smile and get up to stretch. I climb out of my den and sit in the shade in Violet Meadow, peering around for anything suspicious.

Standing next to the men as they shot the birds, the young female saw one flurry from the confines of the long grass and she raced over, leapt into the air and caught it between her teeth. It screeched and squirmed until she finally killed it and took it over to the pile of birds and hares that she had managed to catch and that the men had missed. Sitting between them again, the fae noticed a male stray dog take one of their turkey game and run off with it. The bird was too heavy for him and his run was sloppy. Obviously he wasn't a real hunter.
Miaria went to go after him but then one the men said, "Mia, stay here whilst we pick up the game," she inclined her head and stared at the men before sitting back on her haunches and staying where she was. She watched as they walked off and heard rustling in the grass and she spun around to see a small fox eyeing off the game. The english setter growled and snarled and lunged at the fox. It stared at her for a moment before scurrying off.
Huffing in annoyance, the young dog sat beside the pile and waited. Soon enough the two men came and gathered their prizes into sacks and bags, slung them over their shoulders after offering one to Miaria. She took one and then they walked off and said, "just come back to the camp site before dark, girl," before they started talking amongst eachother. Mia barked in reply and then scurried off to go find that stray dog, hare still in her mouth.
She found him soon enough, sitting in the shade, but without the turkey. Mia growled at the dog, placing the hare on the ground and staring at him with her dark eyes. "What did you do with the turkey?" She snapped lightly, staring at the dog intently.

Anadarko glared at the fae. She was a pretty setter, but he didn't have time to think of how pretty she was.
"Is it really any of your business?" he snapped. He bent his head down to lick his paws then looked back up at the setter. He smirked and kept sitting. He then padded away before she could speak. He ran towards the Wheeping Willow and sat underneath its branches. He hoped she wouldn't follow him.

Miaria watched the male for a long while before he finally spoke. The fae's eyes narrowed and she gave a light growl. "Yes, it does happen to be my business. That turkey you happened to take was something that was hunted by my humans, which means it rightfully belonged to them," she said, stubbornly following the brute as he made his way to the Wheeping Willow, sat underneath it. She stared at him for a moment before sitting down, away from the tree, in the sun.
Her tail bristled slightly as she listened to the animals around them. The smell of blood and fresh meat filling the air, from where a scavenger had started to tear at the hare she had left behind. Her ears flicked momentarily as a bug annoyed her and she gave a light growl. Though not to the stray dog. She cocked her head to the side and stared at him. "So what's a stray like you doing so far away from any type of suburbia? Wouldn't living around humans be easier if you're a stray?" she asked, genuinely curious.

Anadarko laughed gently.
"Living near humans? I'd be living in captivity until I die. Doesn't that bother you? Having to be controlled and told what to do all the time, everyday? It bothered me once, and I've never let them bother me again. If I even lived near humans I'd stop breathing."
Anadarko stared at the fae, staring at her for a long time, deciding what she'd do next. He shook his coat and lay back down with a huff.

Miaria looked at the brute for a moment longer before sighing, She stretched her front legs infront of her before lying down. "Not really. I'm not forced to stay with them 24/7. I'm fed and sheltered and all I need to do in help them with their hunts. Other then that, i'm free to roam where I please. Most don't have it like I do, so I know that i'm lucky," she said quietly and curled her tail around her paws. "If you had had a home like that, would you leave?" She asked him.
A few minutes passed and the fae stood up with a yawn. She looked around for a moment before slowly padding to a bush. She sniffed the air momentarily before she pawed the bush. A bird flew out from behind it, flying over her head and she jumped up, and snapped it in her jaws, killing the defenseless animal. She placed it on the ground and glanced over at him. "And if i'm good at it, why not help them?" she said before she started to eat. Honestly, Miaria preferred bird to hare. She always found that it tasted like off meat for some reason.
