[Soul Hunter]

It was far in the future and the next stage of evolution had taken place, creatures had evolved so much now that some were unrecognisable. The forest had over taken the greatest of cities as if Mother Nature herself was trying to repair herself from all the harm the humans had caused over the years. The forests were vast no buildings in sight, and the ones that were had trees twisting around them and plants of exaggerated size, the once clouded water had become crystal clear, like liquid glass you could see the fish that lived in the fresh water lakes and rivers, waterfalls raged and crashed over the cliffs more powerful than they ever had and the water was completely pure. The plants flourished, evergreen and seasonal plants mixed in this alien forest. But it was beautiful, nothing like any creature had seen before. However, during this tough time the humans had declined, the other races had thrived but the humans had not, they were not adapted well enough and the few that remained rarely ever met each other, several were now hybrids.

One human named Taigi, one of the few humans that had learnt and managed to survive by herself learning from her parents, both of hers were pure human. She was wearing leather and cloth like clothes; a short top from just below her shoulder blade to the top half of her stomach, a strap around her waist with part of it going between her legs and another two pieces one in front of her and one at the back, a lot like the clothes people sued to wear in the past. It was all she could craft at the moment, but it would do. She carried bow and arrows, a small dagger and had a small pup, it looked like a larger version of a wolf but far more fierce. She had picked it up and thought maybe she could tame it; so she would have some sort of companion if she never lived to see another human or any sort of humanoid creature.

That day she was sitting by a river cursing a little from cutting her leg and held a bit of cloth close to the wound on her leg. “I need to be more careful, right boy” she said to the male pup that yipped and gave a nod, they could understand more now. She kept the pressure on it and soon they both turn pulling her arrow the male pup put a paw on the wound to keep pressure on and growled furiously at the possible threat, no voice came from her at all.

Remaining silent she moved her hand back to put pressure on the wound and Thorn, the black evolved wolf pup, who was rather bug for just a pup, standing at should he was up to her waist. He growled and stepped forward towards them, snapping his jaws; she limped over and looked to who stood before them.

Destiny bolted through the forest at top, Vampire speed. Her fire-red hair flowed behind her. Her red eyes darted around, looking for her next meal. Destiny had slowed to a stop and spotted a human and her evolved wolf pup. There was nothing more tasty that the taste of human blood, drizzled over a juicy leg of wolf meat. Destiny snarled as the human raised her arrow. Destiny took no precautions and stepped out into the open. In plain view of the human. Destiny bared her sharp fangs and said "Good luck shooting me. You'll be dead before your arrow hits that tree." Destiny pointed to a very close tree and quickly leaped into the tree. She sat down and said "Unless your faster than me...which I highly doubt." Destiny looked at the wolf and hissed at it. She climbed even higher, going so fast that it looked like she teleported. Destiny knew the wolf couldn't reach her and she looked directly in it's eyes. "Or you think that mutt will save you." Destiny laughed loudly, in a mocking tone, and jumped to another tree. Destiny looked at the human and said "If you want a real protector...try a wolf shifter with the bite,strength and speed of a Vampire." Destiny walked onto a thick branch and shifted into a wolf. Her red, Vampire, eyes were still there and her teeth were sharper than a normal wolf's teeth. Destiny snarled at the duo and then leaped onto one of the hanging plants. Destiny leaped from one plant to the next and she was finally above the waterfall. "If you want agility, speed, protection, and grace...try something like me as your protector...not that mutt." Destiny could still speak human as a wolf. Destiny jumped of the hanging plant and down toward the waterfall. As a wolf, destiny aimed her nose to the water so she was diving. Then she sifted back to a human/Vampire and dove into the water. Destiny emerged from the water and leaped into a tree, quickly. Instantly drying herself off. She was too high for the wolf and too fast for the human. She was the perfect combination.

Taigi gave a savage snarl no words would fall from her mouth that easily now, The wolf snarled shifting suddenly into a much larger version and snapped at the tree like it was nothing more than a toothpick before returning to its normal state. She did not doubt her friend, eh only friend in this strange word. Watching her closely everything and everyone appeared to be a predator towards the humans, this life was tough for her but she was going to do her very best. She did not care much for the perfect combination nothing changed the bond between the pair of them; her and her pup were very close. She stood up and the pup went back and licked the wound in an effort to heal it, she didn’t want to be around such creatures while she was injured, she usually just ran anyway now. Limping on her injured leg she found some herbs and quickly tended to it cleaning the wound out while the wolf closely watching the vampire/werewolf hybrid.

Destiny took pity upon the human and leaped down from a tree. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a large chunk of meat. Destiny tossed the meat onto the ground and slowly walked over to the human. "I know how to live in this godforsaken place. Don't underestimate it's powers. I've watched people get swallowed up by plants and animals...and I'm not kidding. Unless you take me as an ally...that may happen to you too. I've been watching you and well...you can survive. But you need to learn how to LIVE." Destiny reached into her other pocket and pulled out bandages. She had had these in her pockets for a while. Destiny looked at the human and tossed her the roll of bandage tape. Destiny nodded and said "It'll save you the trouble of having to stop often." Destiny climbed back up into her tree and sat down, throwing the dog another piece of meat.

(BRAINDEAD!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRR )

She sighed "Ok, how about we see how it goes then, what is your name, I am Taigi and this is Thorn" she said to her sitting down she carefully applied the bandages "I have as well, so I know how bad things can be and I know to be careful, plus Thorn here helps to hunt sometimes, still in training though" she said to her. She ahd a shelter in the hollow of one of the now gaint trees and waited for Destiny to talk.

[Dark**Light]

Destiny chuckled and said "I'm Destiny. Destiny Carson. Your wolf is pretty...interesting..." Destiny sat down and traced her finger through the dirt. She began to draw a rough outline of her mother. The right next to her mother...she drew her father. Destiny began to get emotional and quickly climbed up a tree. 'Get it together Destiny...this is the first human that I've seen in...well...never.' Destiny thought. Destiny got down from the tree and said "You hungry?"

"I know where the herds are at this time, they follow the same paths, always the same paths" she said "he is an evolved version and his is only a pup still" she said to her and looked to her when she climbed up the tree"are you ok? something wrong?"

[Dark**Light]

Destiny urged on a smile and said "Yeah...I'm fine. But I'm also hungry. I need to sink my teeth into some meat..." She looked temptingly at Taigi and said "Just joking...I haven't eaten a human in...well....never..." Destiny smiled and said "I was separated from my parents very early...I've lived here all my life." Destiny looked around and said "Care to go hunting?"

"It might be an idea, we need to hunt before the night falls and i'm sure both of us are hungry" she said giving a light smile "Want to stay in our den as well?" she asked her and soon Nightmare began to trak down some food, "You get the blood and we get the meat" she said.

[Dark**Light]

Destiny smiled and said "Sounds good to me." Destiny leaped up into the large tree and began scouting for something to eat. She looked toward the thick brush and saw something moving in it. Destiny shifted into a wolf and did a series of scratchings on the tree to signal Thorn that there was food just inside that brush.

She soon let Nightmare pick the trail up and let him lead them to where the herds of mutated deer rested, she rustled her hair and soon slunk in the shadows and grass with ehr bows and arrows while Pup shot straight in making them all panic while she picked out her target shooting her arrows swiftly in order to catch them.

Destiny leaped down onto the brush and pulled out a giant creature. She shifted back into a human and bit into the beast. As she sucked the blood, the beast's fur and color began to become pale and less vibrant than it was before. Destiny ripped the fur off and said "The rest is yours." Destiny rippped te pelt into large pieces and laid them in the hollow tree. "A little house warming present."

"Well thanks" said Taigi and Thorn licked his lips, setting the meat out to dry for a bit she soon sorted out the shares and gave Thorn some of his for dinner as well as eating some vegtables and fruit, keeping her diet healthy so that way she could remain healthy and well enough to hunt and provide for the little wolf pup.

Destiny looked around and sniffed the air. "Something is here..." Destiny looked into the brushes and snarled. "Get into the tree... someone...err...something is here and its not supposed to be here." Destiny said. She leaped into the bushes and followed the scent for a few steps. Destiny turned around and saw a large creature staring at her. The creature raised its claw and raked it down her arm. Destiny screamed and bolted back to the camp as quickly as she possibly could. "Get in the tree!" Destiny said. Destiny shoved the food into the house and took the rest of the pelt and draped it over the entrance to the 'house'. Destiny dove into the house and said "Be very quiet...that means you too." Destiny looked sternly at the wolf but then siled and patted it on the head.
