The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
The half moon rose over the forest. Arianna stood outside her new home. The light seeped through the tree's in her backyard and onto the ground. She sighed and sat down on the damp grass. She never could get enough of the moon, the night. The calm, and peace it brought, she could sit out here all night. "Arianna!" she heard her aunt call her from inside the house. She turned her head sightly but didn't answer. Just a couple more days, and it would be time. The full moon. She shivered just thinking about it, there were humans in the world where they believed in the fantasy world. They have it all wrong though, her change wasn't quick, and painless. Whenever the full moon rose, she became a monster she couldn't control. The shifting of bones, the changes of muscles, the pain was excruciating and it took an hour for her to become what she really was. A werewolf.
The next day she would begin her first year as a senior high school student. She couldn't help but feeling like she didn't belong in any of the school's she had gone too. Sometimes she wished she could just change into a wolf, and never turn back. She sighed softly to herself again, playing with her long chestnut brown hair. "Arianna! Come inside you'll be late for school tomorrow" Arianna turned her head and glared at the back door where the calling was coming from. She stood up, and started to walk closer to the forest, ignoring her aunt.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
The night was still young. And Aaron had no intentions on going out staying stuffed up inside all day when he could go out and look for his brother's killer. That was once that night when they were in the same woods. He didn't know what happened, but found his brother's body on the ground, beaten up, bloodied. He mumbled, but that was all and then he was dead. It wasn't that long ago. When they took him to the hospital, even though he died, still hoping to get his body cleaned, they found no bullets but they said that his body the tampered by a beast. Beaten and tampered, throat ripped out. That chilled Aaron cold. He was in his own little world and quieter maybe at school. Still people liked him for his glossy brown hair and glistening brown eyes, not exactly dark but light brown. Kinda like sweet milk chocolate.
The night still haunts him, the memory. It hurt him, stabbed him in the chest. He wished he was with him, or no, it was him instead. His brother could still be alive now. Sighing he made his way through the whispering trees, the glimmering of light raining down to light up a milky path. He was soon deep inside. Having a pocket knife, and a gun. He believed that he would one day find this beast. Because there was really any beast. No grizzlies, but there was some coyotes, but the punks would just run away. As soon as he got deeper he stopped at his net trap he had set, made of sharp rope, hard to cut. Nothing was there and he was really hoping there was, now he was pissed. Groaning as he hurried down and put a freashly hot steaming meat, hoping the beast would find it there. He went several trees down and crouched behind one waiting.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
Arianna looked over her shoulder back at her home for a couple of seconds before shrugging and setting off into the woods. She really didn't care much if she did get in trouble with her aunt. She always did anyways, and her aunt was use to her sneaking out at night now. She wished she could just go back in time, back to when her parents were still alive. Just the thought made her smile. She couldn't go back in time though, that dreadful night were they were killed by the beasts, and she survived the attack, ultimately leading to her curse. She shivered thinking about what happened a couple of months ago, she woke up in the middle of the forest, covered in blood. She sobbed for the next week, not daring to think what she had done. There was too much of it, for it to be a small animal, and she hoped that maybe it was a deer that was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and she didn't want to think otherwise.
Her bare feet crunched through the forest floor as she hummed a soft tune to herself, the melody melding into the tree's. She stopped hearing the distance walking in the forest. She stopped, even though it wasn't the full moon her sense had been sharpened ever since her first change. She stopped, silencing herself. She narrowed her gaze and looked into the darkness, she started to walk forward and noticed the rope on the ground. She crouched next to it, seeing that it was a trap. Hunters? In this area. She looked around, her blue eyes scanning the darkness.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
Waiting there for endless minutes started to ache his legs in the position in which he sat. Sighing, he sat back bottom first on the ground thinking of the creature he was just so sure he'd catch tonight. 5 more minutes he heard the crunching of shoes hitting a dirt path. Grass and leaves russeling. He stayed hidden and hurried aiming his pocket knife. He was really handy with knives. He'd trained like he was going into war. Aiming, aiming... he didn't even think about who it, or what it was just never heard the sound of yelping of furious growling for being caught. He took the knife but stopped. A knife? No, then the creature would just attack him, it wouldn't slow it down. Instead he took out his gun and aimed. When he thought he got a nice enough aim, he pulled back the trigger with a sweaty finger and a loud boom with off. Twice. Once he was sure he had gotten the 'thing' he walked slowly towards it so he could actually see it. And he felt instantly, shameful, and shocked when he saw a girl with a bullet in her arm. Only one, he guessed the other missed. His eyes went wide and he stammered quietly backing up. God he was so obsessed with trying to get the beast that killed his brother he shot a girl. A helpless girl. He grimaced. "I'm sorry." He muttered and walked up towards her.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
Arianna narrowed her eyes, a hunter? In this part of the woods? This was really bad, what if one night he decided to go out while she was a wolf. She'd be killed for sure. She was aware of how aggressive she became during the change. She was barely aware of what she did, but always had some sort of idea. She was thankful that she didn't remember that one night. She shivered again, the breeze blowing against her bare arms, she rubbed them trying to warm herself up. She looked around again, hearing the rustling of leaves. Her heart stopped, as she began to grow wary of another person near her. She looked around, although she couldn't quite pinpoint their position. All of the sudden she heard the click, immediately her ears recognized the sound and she whirled around. The next thing that happened was a blur, two bullets, one hit the tree behind her and the other right in her forearm. She looked at it, and saw the blood seeping out of her. She dropped to the ground silently putting her hand over the wound. She looked up, with her darkened blue eyes and saw a young boy, holding a gun. He had shot her...why? She looked at him, clearly frightened she pushed herself backwards trying to get up.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
When she fell to the ground, he helped her down slowly. She seemed in shock. Like, why did a teenage wander with a gun in his hand? If he left her here, she would probably to still pull herself up. Maybe she might tell the police! That's when he instantly panicked, when she started backing away he decided to play it cool and took a deep breath holding her down. He didn't look up to met her face. He didn't want to see the pain on her face, the shock. He didn't want to go to jail as well for not paying attention and shooting an innocent girl. Hurrying, he plucked out the bullet from her arm. He winced, flinched at the sticky blood that came with the bullet. He looked around and walked towards a nearby river that rushed coolly in the night air and he leaned in with his pocket knife he cut off some of his shirt and dipped it in the water then came back, wipping the wound off. His heart race and he felt like her was about to cry. The gun was fluttered in the leaves. He made a note not to forget it. Then, when the wound was cleaned he turned it off and wrapped it, tied it. Then with careful hands picked her up and brought her towards a nearby abandounded cabin, gently putting her on the bed and then locking the door sitting in an old dusty rocking chair and putting his arms on his knees and his hands on his head to hide his face cursing silently to himself.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
Arianna held back the cry of pain as she held the wound. The blood flowing down her arm. She had just been shot. Her mind couldn't wrap itself around the fact that this had happened to her. She knew that she was in shock, surprise really. The pain wasn't that bad, it was nothing compared to when she changed forms. She looked at the boy, her eyes wide. He seemed to be panicking. She felt bad slightly, but the quickly dismissed that thought, what the hell was he doing in the middle of the woods, and night with a gun. Was he the one that set the traps? She couldn't help thinking, her eyes never left his face. He reached forward and she flinched away, but let him tend to the wound. Obviously now he didn't mean to shoot her. She gasped loudly as he took the bullet out, and her eyes watered. Pain shot up her arm, but she shook her head willing herself not to cry. She clenched it with her arm again, watching as he went to the stream and used his shirt as a cloth. She flinched away from his touch again as he cleaned the wound. He looked like he was about to cry. She took the cloth from him and pressed it against the wound herself. Gasping as she did, but the pained went numb after a while, she started to see black dots in her vision, and she felt him start to pick her up. She didn't protest and once she felt herself being raised she gave in to the darkness.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
The lights flickered on and off starting to irratate his eyes. But he refused to leave the girl when she blacked out for a while. After cursing and scowling himself until he actually hated him himself, he gave in and looked at the girl. Looking up her slim form, past out on the ragged bed, eyes closed. When he got to face his heart just stopped. Her face was pure beauty. Something so innocent, someone he shot... his heart started beating again as soon as the mezmerising by her thoughts was over. He blinked a couple of times before lifting himself up and leaning down on the hard wooden floor not caring if some splinters in the wood poked through his skin and probably opened some scabs. For the first time, since his brother was killed he was scared. Scared for himself. Scared for the girl. Scared of the future. Letting his hand streatch out he reached her hair. She was left sweating, he hair sticking to her head. Slowly he removed them and looked at her perfect pink lips, imagining them against his. But then that thought left and he removed his hands. Damn. Damn. Damn. He was his problem? He let that thought clear but something always kept it at the back of his mind.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
Arianna mind was thrown into turmoil as she blacked out. She saw herself, in her wolf form. Picture's flashed through her mind, her changing, the dark brown fur rippling across her body. Her own screams echoed through her head. Then she was running through a forest, her breath coming out in clouds. The next picture terrified her, she was standing over a body, a body of a young boy. Her muzzle covered in blood, her blue wolf eyes burning with hate. She shook her head crying out in her sleep. She lifted her head, and saw the boy standing over her with the gun, still in wolf form she lunged for his throat. At that moment she opened her eyes and took big gasps of air, she felt sticky and hot. Sweat was pouring off her brow. She looked confused and scared looking around. The pain shot up her arm again and she almost forgot what had happened. She looked up, finally meeting the boy's gaze. She got a good look at his face and something inside her tore, she narrowed her eyes looking at him. He was so handsome, and he looked scared. She layed her head down against the pillow, her heart still beating against her chest. She wasn't sure what to say to him, but she opened her mouth anyways, "Thank you for not leaving me" she said, her voice rough and scratchy as if she hadn't talked for quite some time.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
When he heard her voice he nearly jumped. The first thought he thought was how she would react. She actually thanked him and that surprised him. He grimaced, looked at her and put a hand on his neck again... signature move. Her voice was beautiful even through the scratchiness. It sounded as if she had a hint mysteriousness in it. Something he just couldn't pick out. But he growled at his own thoughts. He threw the gun aside and growled putting both hands at the side of his head lashing out. "You should hate me," he said pointing at her arm. "I did this to you." And then finally. All the fear, all the grief he held back was let out. He kneeled down and put both hands on his face, cupping them to let out a cry and said more faded, more weak. "I'm so sorry," he said and covered his face again. He curled up to keep the aching of guilt of his stomach to fade.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
Arianna watched him, not saying anything she started to sit up. Keeping her eyes away from the wound, afraid of what she would see. She flinched away from him when he threw the gun. She couldn't help but feel slightly afraid of him, he looked like really was sorry for what he had done, but that still didn't explain what he was doing in the woods. He pointed to her arm, and he had a sad look in his eyes. She looked up at him, "I don't hate you" she said quietly looking down, "I can see this is all a mistake, you helped me, you didn't leave me there" she said softly, her voice returning to normal as she got rid of the shock in her body. She watched him collapse in front of her, she didn't move. She wasn't too sure what she should do. "I forgive you" she said. Why she said this, she didn't know, but there was just something about this boy, that made her heart flutter inside of her chest.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
When he felt her nearness he lifted his head to stare at her, pick out her features except where he shot her so he could forget this ever happened. She said she forgived him. He was relieved. He looked at the gun and put it on the desk taking a deep breaths. Maybe too much he breathed in one day. Turning to face he again he looked down and said in a slight shy tone, "You'd probably wanna know what a teenage boy was doing around the woods with a gun?" He asked biting his lip slightly before looking up to meet her blue eyes, removing his slightish long bangs to reveal his eyes. He stopped biting and shook his head. "It's not a stupid reason, I promise." He laughed, quietly mostly to himself.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
Arianna eyed the gun, she wished he would put it down. It honestly really scared her, just being near it. Her arm starting hurting again just by looking at it, and she let out a breath of relief when he put it down. She looked up at him, and cocked her head slightly. She nodded her head, "Yea, I think I do deserve some sort of excuse for why you were tromping around in the woods, in the middle of the night, with a gun" she said quickly looking at him. She sat up on the bed, and sat cross-legged in front of him. Her eyes met his and she could feel her inside softening. She had never felt this way around any boy, she had always seen them as a weakness, and wouldn't let herself near one. She didn't want to be hurt, but she couldn't help herself from feeling this way about him.

Re: The Call Of The Moon (Silver Shadows)
Aaron nodded and cleared his throat. "I.. well my brother died in this forest a long while ago." He took a heavy breath as the thought of his brother hurt him. "I guess I was trying to kill this beast that was trying to kill him." He sighed and looked up at her. "I hope that's a good enough reason?" He said in more of a hopeful question

Arianna grimaced, "That doesn't sound very healthy" she said, then regretting her words. She wasn't sure how he was going to react to that. Her arm still hurt, and she wanted to go home. She felt like crying, but she kept herself calm. "I'm sorry about your brother though" she said lowering her gaze sadly, "It must of been hard, but how are you going to find one thing that killed him" she said questioningly.

Aaron felt like punching a wall or just diappearing. The girl probably hated him for something so selfish. He sighed. "You can leave, turn me in if you'd like. I deserve it." He muttered miserably and turned from her. "I deserve every thing that happened in my damn life." He felt like screaming it out and just sat beside her. "You don't know how sorry I am. You dont ." He whispered quietly.
