Killers aren't meant to be hunted. (R/M)
For an age, people had been contracted in to kill undesirables. Governments would hire assassins to kill those who stood in there way, every country did it, they just didn't own up to it. There were 4 clans, spread across the world, each continent had its own clan and each clan colaberated with the all the other clans. The European and Asian clans were by far the strongest of them and in Europe the name you would hear the most was, Sarcamedes or Black Widow to employers. You wanted something done, something that would never lead anywhere, you employed her. That is until she broke.
You see the life of an Assassin is dictated by rules. Rules are the foundations of success, to an assassin they are the law, you don't bend or break them, ever. You live your life by the four fundamental rules that were written over 400 years ago. These four simple rules were followed by the majority of assassins.
Rule number 1: Kill only the target.
Rule number 2: Never get caught.
Rule number 3: Do not betray your clan.
Rule number 4: You can never have a partner. ( Love )
Sarcamedes, a beautiful female assasin had broken all four. She had been outcast, and now they came for her blood. Assassins don't leave people like her alive, to many threats to their secret society if they did let them live.
Sarcamedes had been running for 2 months straight, she didn't stay in a location more than 3 days. She never used cars as transport, never travelled on main roads or through main cities. It had kept her alive this long. She knew however that they would catch up to her and when they did, boy they'd better be ready. Sarcamedes didn't use guns, cars, planes. She used blades, bows, her horse and poison. Using poison is what had given her the name Black Widow.
Zero, the stallion she rode was bomb proof. He didn't bolt or panic. He attacked and stood fast in the face of danger. Zero was aggressive and he helped her by warning her of danger before it got close enough for her to sense it. He was grey and wore tack that had slot for weapons custom built into it. She had other mount stored places across europe but none were like Zero.
Sarcamedes rested on top of a boulder. Her black outfit stained with blood, mud and other things. She was tired and lay back taking quiet and deep breaths. Zero nickering to her. She looked at the sky, it was almost dusk. She hopped down of the boulder and went to Zero., she began un tacking him and hiding the tack in the gaps under the boulder. "Zero, if only I could find others like me, outcasts, maybe we'd stand a better chance. I'm kinda tired of getting shot at now. " Zero nickered his agreemenrt and nipped her padded armour. " I guess your tired of it to, huh? " She lay down in the crevess where the tack was stored and said " Zero, we'll have to leave in the morning. " He nodded his head and moved to stand over a bush and eat.
Sarcamedes fell asleep, but only lightly. She couldn't be to careful now could she?

Re: Killers aren't meant to be hunted. (R/M)
Novella's lips cracked partly, hardly allowing a quiet sigh to sputter from her mouth. She took a glance to her brother, Ercole, who had, too, been tired of drifting about the wilderness in search of food and shelter. He gave her a look in return, but a small, reassuring smile tugged at the corner of his lips, letting her know soon enough they would be able to rest and feast until their hearts' content. Novella nodded and understood what he had meant to say with his actions. Her feet throbbed and her back ached from the extensive wandering worth miles of distance, however, her brother could withstand pain far longer than she, being that he had gotten specialized training at an early stage in life. His eyes drifted upward; it was beginning to get dark. A few minutes passed, and they found themselves only yards away from a large boulder and a shelf that ran under it. Novella squinted her eyes, the presence of another being scraping across her vision. She had realized the figure was that of a horse; a well-built horse at that. She shifted her weight to the left, and looked at her brother for guidance. His eyes scanned the area, but no traces of human activity had been left behind. He began to make his way towards the enormous rock, Novella following closely on his backside.

Zero raised his head sharply, rearing up in anger. He shook his mane wildly. He knew something was close, what exactly he didn't know. Sarcamedes woke with a start, but remain silent. She slowly reached for her blade, and gather Zero's tack, the stirrups hit together and she closed her eyes and waited for something to happen. When nothing did ,she signalled for Zero to back away into cover and he did, she slid into the cover and began tacking him up.
She had done it so many times that it was all done in 5 minutes, she slid all the weapons into the holsters and mounted flicking her purple hair out of the way, to see two forms coming close to the place she had just been sleeping, she let out a sigh, and watched for a moment. Had they noticed her ?
She turned Zero and shifted in the saddle, before slowly walking Zero south.

Re: Killers aren't meant to be hunted. (R/M)
Novella quickly turned her head as the sounds of hooves scraping across the dirt met her ears. Her eyes narrowed slightly, focusing on the vague mass of a moving object came into vision. She shot her brother a warning by using varying hand signals, and he swiftly caught sight of what she had been seeing. Ercole sprinted towards the blot before it could travel any farther, interrupting its path. As his eyes fully adjusted to seeing in such dim lighting, he could easily identify the mysterious mass as a woman and a horse. Novella's heart raced as she made her way to her brother's side, perched on her toes. Ercole tilted his head to the side, and asked huskily, "Who are you?"

Zero pinned his ears, Sarcamedes stroked his neck. No need to get violent..yet. " Sarcamedes scanned them. The female obviously had sore feet, the male was hard to read. " Sarcamedes..AKA Black Widow..and you? " Her tone sharp, she wanted to move but the tension was already to high. Zero was agitated and she was begining to lose her own temper. She had her hand firmly on his reins, but pulled him back so they could not lunge for her weapons.
She waited for their reply. She was no longer a clan member so she made sure people knew her name, then they'd know she was dangerous if they were in the same business.

As soon as the name was tossed in the air, Novella's eyes widened, and she exchanged numerous glances with Ercole, whose lips had begun to tilt up into a semi-grin. "Ah, so you're the famous Black Widow," he said, more to himself than anyone. "I'm Ercole, and that's -"
"Novella," she chimed in neutrally. "What bring you here, Sarcamedes?" she questioned with a bit of hostility added to her tone. She didn't take too kindly to strangers, let alone strangers who had brought so much intimidation to the table. Yes, yes, she was intimidated by Sarcamedes, but only because she had heard so many stories of her assassinations and whatnot.

Sarcamedes spoke "Greetings Ercole and Novella.." she slightly bowed her torso in greeting. " Well, you've heard stories about me, if I'm right ? " she paused, before continuing " Well have you heard about my 'so called' betrayal?, it's lies of course but anyway what are you doing here ? " she asked, flashing a sharp look to Novella, reminding her not to mess with her.
Zero, was begininng to calm down.

Ercole gave Sarcamedes a confused look with a tilt of the head. "What do you mean it's not true? They've given so much proof that you did betray them," he started, but then got lost in thoughts. His brows furrowed as he tried to make sense of the whole situation.
Novella exhumed an exasperated breath of air and nonchalantly toyed with the mass of fur attached to a chain which hooked onto her bottoms. She then noticed Ercole wasn't going to reply to Sarcamedes, so she figured she must. "We've been looking for shelter for quite some time," she said somewhat quickly, "You see, our 'sneaky' doings have been found out by the public, so we had to retreat, since everyone's on their toes at the moment. When things die down, my brother and I will continue our mission," she finished smoothly with a swift nod.

Sarcamedes smiled when he spoke about proof.. " Proof, Ha! Proof can be made to go in the favor of who had the most power and money. " she stopped speaking to quell the anger slowly building inside her, it subsided but she new it would be back.
She saw Novella tugging at the fur attached to the chain and took a small throwing knife from Zero's pouches, flicking it in her direction, It skimmed past Novella head and stuck the tree directly behind her. " Use that, it'll be easier"
She sighed, feeling a slight comfort in the company of others, but she knew she had to move. She spoke up and said, " I must leave now, I can't endanger your lives, with the sh** storm that is coming my way. " She turned Zero on the spot and walked off, raising her hand, waving bye. She stopped only for a moment to throw a sack of food and water to Ercole and shout good luck to them.
She fought the temptation to look over her shoulder at them.

Ercole easily caught the sack of essential goods, grasping it tightly. He glanced up, then began chasing after the woman who he had, actually, begun to take a liking to. "Wait!" he called and cleared his throat. "Perhaps we should stay together... I mean, what are the odds of us all being killed if we're in a group of other assassins?" He smiled briefly and took a gander at Novella as she rushed to his side. Her eyes flickered between the two, and with a moment of hesitation, she nodded in agreement.
(AH! Sorry it's so short. I'm a bit brain-dead at the moment.)

Sarcamedes sighed, they sure were determined. " You won't give up will you..." She smiled, showing a side of her not many saw and survived. " She though about it for a minute before sighing again and speaking finally. " Well, we'll have to find you some sort of transport, can't have you walking around, I have a few horses dotted around or we can get you something more....modern "
Zero flicked his ears back and did a disgruntled nicker, clearly not happy at me saying something more modern. Sarcamedes dismounted and held his reins. " So, what do you want to do ? " She asked.

Ercole flashed her a thankful smile before beginning to speak. "I believe that a couple of horses will work just fine," he responded, and gave a glance to Novella for confirmation, and she agreed with the idea. It'd be MUCH simpler to have a live mount, being that they can work their way through areas in which motorized vehicles cannot. In all honesty, Novella was starting to embrace the glint of kindness Sarcamedes had presented them. And for that, she was grateful.
"Thank you," Novella said without thought, and a rose-y blush plopped on her cheeks.

Sarcamedes dismounted Zero and said in a quiet voice to him, "Novella is going to ride you until we get to the other horses. Be nice!" Zero nickered to her, knowing if Sarcamedes was going to trust these people, then he should to.
Zero stood still. Sarcamedes walked to the pair, " Novella, you feet look sore. You ride until we get to the horses." Sarcamedes took three blades from his tack and then led him over to them, handing her the reins.

Novella grinned widely, showcasing her obligation. "Thank you," she said timidly, and bowed her head. She twined the reins around her slim fingers and slid onto the steed's back with ease. She stroked the stud's neck tenderly and made a firm grip on the harness.
Ercole turned to Sarcamedes with a wide grin slapped on his mouth. "I appreciate the generosity you're showing us." he spoke humbly.
(So brain-dead... Sorry for the long wait, by the way!)

Sarcamedes smiled and said " Your a natural rider Novella.." A friendly smile, that felt strange to her normally frigid lips. She turned to Ercole and said " After a while you begin to realise not everyone one is out to hurt you and that you can trust some people. "
Sarcamedes walked a little in front of the others, heading to a barn just over a kilometer away.

[center]"It's a bit hard to, considering all the times I've been deceived," Ercole said solemnly, but managed to keep a straight face, and blocked the memories of the past from entering his anticipations once more. He'd despised his cold and truly unfortunate history, but knew he couldn't do anything to change it. Novella had also shared an awful antiquity, and much like Ercole, she never spoke it.
Novella's face beamed a happy expression as she was complimented by Sarcamedes. "Thanks," she spoke bashfully, "Our parents used to breed horses, so on downtime, Ercole and I would usually explore the forests bareback. However, we normally never had free time, so getting away from it all was really almost a blessing." She let out a rather quirky grin and then focused ahead.

Sarcamedes saw Zero change stance and she immediately ran up to Novella and dragged her out the saddle as a dagger flew past her head. She grabbed a small bottle of Zero's harness and her bow, alng with some arrows and dipped one of the arrows into the bottle.
She prepared the arrow, pulling back on the bow until her hand was next to her head. She was ready to take the shot and whistled to Zero to gallop around behind the target. She shallowed her breath and suddenly realised she was in the open, a little bit late as a dagger found it's way to skim past her arm and cut deeply into the flesh.
She accidentely let the arrow go and it stuck to a tree.

Novella inhaled a sharp gasp as she was thrown off the stud, coming in contact with the ground rather forcefully. Ercole's eyes widened as a dagger slid over Sarcamedes flesh and left it a-gape. "Sarcamedes!" Ercole called out as he bolted to her side, motioning Novella to lug a few pints of water to her and rinse out the wound. After she did so, he gingerly carried her towards shelter and tore a piece of cloth from the wrist of his top. He bandaged the injury and gave her a glint of a grin.

Sarcamedes hadn't cried out as the blade cut her, she was shocked as Ercole scooped her up and moved her. She wanted to protest but didn't and spoke calmly instead " Either I'm getting worse or they are getting better.." She laughed lightly and looked to her arrow in the tree and spoke again " You know I meant to hit the tree, right " Laughing again, even in the face of someone trying to kill them.
She hadn't seen Novella and a wave of panic hit her. " Where's Novella!? " In the small time she had known them, she had grown attached to them and the usually ruthless Black Widow had found people again she could let her self care about. She looked down as her hand and hand noticed she had grabbed Ercole's hand.
She coughed and moved her hand away slowly, laughing nervously as she tried to calm her self down.

Ercole stroked the center of Sarcamedes's forehead with the base of his thumb and chuckled lightly. "Novella is safe, I promise." he assured her and smiled half-heartedly.
Meanwhile, Novella crept along the limbs of the trees above in search for such vile people searching and planning on slaughtering Sarcamedes. She nibbled on her bottom lip as her eyes scanned over the area, soon spotting a rather tiny group in which majorly consisted of men with swords along with a few bows and arrows. Novella's hand drifted down to rest on the handle of her dagger, sliding it from its sheath and gaining a firm grip on so. As she inhaled a deep breath, she let the blade soar from her fingers, digging into the skull of a male who wandered a bit far from the group. Only 3 beings remained, and being the semi-wise creature she was, she fluttered down from the tree and scurried back to Sarcamedes and Ercole. "There's a few, err... I guess you could say Sarcamedes hunters about... a quarter of a mile or so away from this little hideout." she informed them both with a quick nod.

Sarcamedes smiled, but it was not a friendly smile. It wasn't aimed at Ercole or Novella, more to the 'Sarcamedes hunters'. She looked at Ercole and stood to her feet, she was light headed and small smile was on her face.
She knew as soon as she stood something has been on the knife that cut her has been laced with something. She smiled again and said " we best move, they won't give up.."

Ercole's head dipped slightly in agreement of the plan, and Novella mimicked his motions in mutual feelings. They paced out from the cave and Novella figured it'd be best if she allowed Sarcamedes to travel by horse, taking her injury into consideration. Her feet had already felt extensively less sore and she felt a lot healthier overall.
"How does your arm feel, Sarcamedes?" Ercole voiced attentively and glimpsed at her bandaged wound.

She got into Zero's saddle and he nickered sensing something was wrong with her. She twisted in the saddle before replying to Ercole " I'm fine.." She mentioned also that the horses were only about 2 hours walk away. She was feeling weaker than before and hoped she could get to the stable before the poison was in full effect, she had antidotes for almost every poison in these locations where she kept supplies and horses.
She signalled for them to move. Looking away from them she allowed her face to show the pain she was in, after a moment she returned to the ' Cold Face' she had trained in.

Ercole's expression glinted a smile. He then rummaged about the generous gift Sarcamedes had given unto him and pulled out a few berries. He offered them to Novella, and she graciously shoveled them down her throat, Ercole doing the same only a few seconds later.
"So, where are these horses?" Novella voiced while her eyes wandered around the area.
