Windchaser, Shiloh, Striker...wild and free...for now...

Name: Windchaser

Age: 4 years

Gender: mare

Breed: Mustang

Looks: jet black and white sabino with crystal blue eyes

Height: 16hh

Personality: Very hard to handle, Windchaser is pure muscle, ill tempered, independent, and takes care of herself. She hates stallions, but despises mares more and is as wild as they come. She will fight to the death with anyone who tries to take her freedom from her.

History: Wind was born to a massive 16.2h grulla and white sabino Mustang stallion and a beautiful dun and white overo mare. She was raised to be tough and not take crap from anyone from the start. Her mother and father were hard, but loving in their own way. That all started her way of life. When she was a yearling, her mother passed and the new boss mare ran her from the herd while her father fought off another stallion. She has fended for herself since then and doesn't need a herd to fall back on.

Other: She has never been bred, had a foal, been caught by a stallion or humans. Hence the name. She's here one minute, gone the next just like the wind.

Age: 3 years

Looks: golden dapple dun with caramel brown eyes and black points, no white

Height: 15.1hh

Personality: Shiloh is a petite, well mannered, easy going mare who loves to please everyone but is timmid/shy at times. She will quickly bow down and give in to anyone who shows they are above her.

History: Shiloh was born in a large herd of 10 mares and 1 stallion. Her father was a beautiful golden dunalino overo Mustang and her mother, a gorgeous jet black Mustang. She had many half sisters and brothers and grew up in a loving protective family. She learned many things from them on life until her herd was rounded up and auctioned off just a few months ago. Only a few remained, including her and a few of her siblings. They were branded and returned to the wild at separate times/areas. She is now on her own searching for a herd to belong to.

Name: Striker

Age: 6

Gender: stallion

Breed: APHA

Looks: splashed white grulla with a bald face and 2 blue eyes

Height: 15.3hh

Personality: Striker can be a handful. He's feisty and intelligent and gets ill tempered when he doesn't get his way.

History: Striker was born on a reining farm in Montana to a beautiful grulla AQHA mare. His sire was a famous black overo APHA stud that was winning reining competitions everywhere he went. He was a handful from the start. They named him Striker as he would bite and strike out at his handlers, not wanting anything to do with humans. He was always aggressive with other horses, apart from his mother. When it came time to start training at age 2, he wanted nothing to do with it. His owners sent him to a trainer to "break" him when everything they did failed. After a few months he was sent back to his home less aggressive and started under saddle, but every time he caught sight/scent of a mare he would go nuts. Little did his owners know, he had escaped one day at the trainers and ended up breeding several of his mares. He got excited when a mare was around and would pitch a fit to get to her. His owners deemed him dangerous after he took off several times, jumping fences to mount the mares. He was sold to a man that used him on his cattle ranch. His daughter fell in love with him as they bonded over the years and she used him as her every day riding horse. She started working him on reining and was showing him successfully, winning a lot of their competitions and proving to his old owners that being kind but firm and having patience is sometimes the best way. One of the ranch hands had left the gate open one night to Striker's paddock and he escaped to the wild. His owner has been looking for him ever since.
