The mare strode out of her stall into the bright meadow. It was a very nice day. She looked at her swollen belly, heavy with foal. She knew it would be coming any day now, so she wandered off into the trees by the valley, and found a nice spot. She felt the foal kick and fell down in pain. She laid down on the grass, sides heaving. She felt painful contractions and slowly started to push....

A Black shire stallion named BlackThorn troted into the meadows looking to the heavily pregnant mare he snorted at her and reared hsi head up as he did. He bucked at the fences around him just for fun and looked to the humans giving a displeased snort he hated being in the stables and didn't even care about the mare giving birth in the next feild just getting on with hsi won buisness as par usual for him.

I saw the black shire and instantly recognized him, we had been enemies ever since they were foals. Why...nobody knows. "just typical of him, not caring about anything!" i say angrily and push as the foals legs and head appear. After about an hour, the foal is out and i stand up to let it nurse. But there was something wrong. It woulndt stand. I nudged my filly as i tried to urge her to stand. she took a step and then finally stood up. She started nursing and i smiled, watching her perfect, cute little body. She was a black and white paint, just like me. When she stood next to me you could hardly tell she was there because she blended in so well.

He snorted once more and bucked at the fence chuckling to himself and reared at the humans when they came into his feild and snorted landing with a thump from his front hooves and his head held high he threatened and they backed off instantly and he smirked before he went back "Such an ugly foal" he snorted as he gulped down the water...

"Did you hear something?" i ask my foal "I don't think so" i grin. I knew he was just being his mean old self. I named my foal alesana, knowing it was a beautiful name for such a beautiful foal. I nuzzled her and then looked up at the stallion. "do u have somewhere to be?" i ask, with attitude in my voice

"No, apart from out of this damn fence and why the hell should I tell you?" he said not realy caring at all and nucked a little once more before shattering the fence getting sick of the white colour and grinned at his acheivement.
"Well what damn stallion si the father?" he smirked only planning to mock her

I nudged alesana behind me from his fierce words. "There's a foal here, if you didnt remember! so i woud appreciate it if you would shutup!" i replied, ignoring whatever he said. Then i heard a whinnie and looked around. alesana had stepped in a wire trap! "No!" i screamed. I tried to get her out, but it was close to impossible. "Help!" i say

"Hmm, no I didn't remeber what of it" I snapped and snorted alittle pricking my ears up when I heard a whinny and just looked over sighing I walked through the broken fence and nudged the trap a little as if examining it...

"My owner is going to kill me if anything happens to her!" i neighed "It costed a fortune to breed with that stud, he was the best in the land" i said. "Just be calm alesana, we will get you out" i said assuringly

He snorted and looked to her "So it wasn't because you lvoed the stallion either how pitiful" he retored adn managed to get the trap from the filly's leg and picked up the trap and tossed it out of the way and instictively began checking around for anymore before he just walked outside the paddock and nibbled on the grass...

"thank you!" i said. I nuzzled alesana "its ok, you're safe now. Lets get back to the barn" i started walking towards the barn and saw the stallion on the way. "i know its a shame... i had no choice either, they locked the stallion and me in a small pen and there was nowhere for me to go" i frown. "well, goddbye" i walked throught the gate into the barn doors

I snorted annoyed not at all impressed. I flicked my tail adn walked into the barn in order to rest and because he was board...

My owner was astounded when he saw the foal "So cute! so pretty!" i heard him say. Alesana whinnied in approval, then started nursing. I smiled and walked into my stall, glad my filly was safe.
