Kulukath cringed when he heard her soft voice in his head. He shook it off and kept the tears back. He’d barely ever cried, yet now he was confronted with leaving his unborn child and his lover, and he couldn’t/didn’t cry? I did it for your welfare, Kulukath spoke into her mind, Goodbye. And he turned on his heel, slowly walking out of range from her thoughts.

[Spritz]

What!?

Castien bolted upright, opening her eyes and blinking as the bright sun made them hurt. She squirmed in Kulukath's arms, and placed a palm on her forhead. What was he talking about!? She spread her fingers and peeked out, before screaming and placing her hands on Elohir's chest, pushing herself away from him and squirming in his grip. "Put me down, you bastard! Where is Kulukath!? Where!?" Her cries could be heard all around the village, and as they grew louder, they echoed off the surroundings. "WHERE!?"

Kulukath could hear Castien’s startled shrieks from where he was, and his heart panged with longing and disappointment. Had Elohir been right? Was it right for him to leave the woman that he loved behind in a village of Elves that was untrustworthy? Especially Elohir himself, who wanted nothing more than a pleasurable experience with Castien—mostly for her body? Having doubts, Kulukath turned around, walking to the edge of the village tentatively, dagger drawn.

[Spritz]

Castien fell harshly onto the ground, before scrambling away from Elohirs groping hands. He leaned down and tried to grab her, but she pushed herself backwards over the ground, her eyes wide and scared. "Where is he!?" Her voice was full of pain, and she stumbled backwards once again as he came at her. Pushing herself to her feet, she felt his fingers harshly curl around her wrist, and she cried out as he twisted it, making her fall to her knees in pain. "Stop!" Trying to wrestle out of his grip, she was scooped up, his arm clamping around her waist and restricting her breathing as she tried to move, as Elohir started making his way back to his own hut. "Kulukath!?"

Kulukath winced when he heard her screaming. Castien… it’s for the best. I had to agree with him… I can’t take you away from your own kind and soil you with my mixed-blood. You don’t deserve to be with a demon, you don’t deserve to be the mother of another one of me. The world could do better—would do better—without it. Please, Castien… Just try to love Elohir as you loved me. I’m leaving you because Elohir said…I had to agree with him… He said that I would ruin your life if you were to become my officially married and mated wife. I would ruin your life because the other Elves would look down upon you because I, of all people, was your mate. A demon. A filthy, mutt of a demon. I’m sorry Castien…

[Spritz]

Words flooded into Castien's mind, and she nearly shreiked as she desiphered there meaning. No longer having the ability to supress her rage and pain, she swung her elbow backwards with force and was rewarded with hearing a slight gasp from Elohir as his breath left his lungs. She twisted out of his grip, and started to run away, but she wasn't looking where she was going. Caught by another one of the elves, a hard hand was placed on the back of her neck, pinching ever time she moved.

Cant you see Kulukath!? Cant you see what they want with me! Does my love for you mean anything to you! Please! I dont care what anyone else thinks!

Kulukath frowned suddenly. It means everything to me, was his only reply, before he decided to take drastic measures. He morphed into his dragon form, managing to knock down several of the huts with his gigantic wings before he roared loudly. He took to the skies, circling over the Elves, dodging arrows filled with the toxins that so easily knocked him out. He whipped Elohir with his tail before roaring angrily, slashing through the Elven soldiers until he could reach Castien. “Grab my tail!” he roared down to her, extending his tail so she could reach the spikes to pull herself up onto his back.

[Spritz]

Castien raised a hand to her face, and placed it over her eyes as tears started to stream down her cheeks. She hated crying, hated tears, but right now they couldn't be avoided. She only remembered crying three times in her life, and two of them had been with Kulukath holding her, telling her it would all be alright. But she didn't have that now. She had a lustful elf and orc's to comfort her now, which wasn't helping in the least. Suddenly, Kulukath's deep voice echoed into her mind, and she stiffened slightly.

It doesn't Kulukath, not if you leave!

Suddenly, screams rang out around her, and she was dropped to the ground. She removed her palm from her eyes, and gazed up at the huge form of a brilliant dragon, who was swooping low over the village and destroying all in his path. Elohir was whipped to the side, flying through the air. She winced as he landed, before grabbing hold of Kulukath's thick tail.

Kulukath growled angrily at the few Elves that dared near him, snapping his long fangs that were as tall as they were, as thick as they were tall, as well, at them to ward them off. Once he felt Castien on his tail, he gently flipped her up onto his shoulder blades, in between his wings, the small warm crevice where she could stay without falling off, no matter what intricate maneuver he did. “Hold on tightly,” he advised her, before zooming off, blowing jets of fire out of his mouth at huts.

Thínil screeched when she saw Elohir knocked to the side. Ignoring the flames tat were engulfing their village, Thínil rushed over to Elohir and patted his cheek gently. “Come on, Elohir! We have to get out of here! We’ll be burned to death!” Thínil pulled on his hand urgently. “If you don’t survive now, you’ll never get revenge on the halfling!”

[Spritz]

Castien closed her eyes tightly as she leaned down, holding onto Kulukath's large body. She rested her cheek on his smooth cool scales, her heart beating wildly in her chest. He had come back, hadn't he? Wasn't that enough for her? Still, the thought of him leaving her because of a few mere words made her heart almost break into two. She looked down to see Thinil leaning down near Elohir's body, to see him pick himself up onto his elbows. A large gash was across his forhead, blood dripping down his face.

After a long thought, Kulukath said, “I’m sorry I left. I was worried you’d be disgraced by me.” Kulukath sighed, the motion sending a shuddering effect throughout his whole body. He blew another jet of flame out at a group of archers, burning their toxic arrows and their helms along with them. “I shouldn’t have. I…I was just concerned for your good name.”

Thínil watched Kulukath fly off with Castien, then turned back to Elohir, wiping the blood off of his face. She left her kneeling position and stood up completely, coughing as she accidentally took a large inhale of the black smoke. “Hurry up, we’re going to die here if you don’t!”

[Spritz]

Castien didn't answer. The wind was whipping her hair about her head, burning her eyes as the smoke from Kulukath's flames made her choke and cough slightly. She held a hand over her nose and face, ducking down and holding on tightly. Chaos was breaking out below, and Castien heard the screams of the elves as Kulukath's fire contacted with their skin.

Elohir winced as Thinil wiped the blood off of his face, and he unsteadily pushed himself to his feet, staggering slightly and trying to regain his balance.

Kulukath shut his maw finally. He flew in silence the rest of the way, and once they were out of sight and sound of the screaming elves, Kulukath commented, “Where are we going to go now? Where do you want to go?”

Thínil helped Elohir by putting her arms around his shoulders, and directing him away from the deadly dragon fumes. “This way!” she shouted over the roar of the inferno and screams of the other Elves.

[Spritz]

Castien winced slightly, her eyes closed. She didn't know what to say, and she was in no mood to talk about what Kulukath had almost decided. She felt his smooth scales under her fingers, and shook her head, her hair whipping out behind her. Gathering it in her hands, she pulled it over one shoulder, and opened her eyes again. It was too loud to talk, so she was forced to comunicate using her mind.

Kulukath frowned and landed on the mountains. He frowned. His land was smoother than it had been in the past. He growled lightly and took her off of his shoulders, morphing back into his humanoid form. He walked over to Castien and hugged her, knowing that she was upset with him. “I’m sorry,” he whispered into her ear, hugging her tighter.

[Spritz]

When they finally landed, Castien started to slide off of his back, but he quickly helped her down. She didn't speak, her jaw set harshly in place. Turning her back, she shook her head and ran her hand through her hair. When she turned back, Kulukath had morphed and was nearing her. She stepped back once, narrowing her dark eyes but he wrapped his arms around her and whispered softly in her ear. His hot breath on her skin made her shiver slightly, and she cupped his cheeks in her hands, looking into his eyes.

Kulukath stared at her. “Please forgive me,” he murmured, kissing her lips lightly. “I want to be with you forever. I really, honestly do. I want to be the father of your—our—child, and I want to protect you. I thought I was protecting you by leaving you, but I was so terribly wrong. Could you ever…forgive me?” Kulukath asked, kissing her jaw lightly.

[Spritz]

Kulukath's intense gaze made Castien want to squirm slightly, made her skin tingle. She winced as he started to speak, but decided to hear him out, letting her gaze fall to the side, away from his eyes. His look made her feel guilty, and now his words made her feel even worse. Giving a muffled sigh, she closed her eyes and shook her head once. She felt him stoop downwards and kiss her jaw tenderly, making her tilt her head to the side slightly and loop her arms around his neck.

“I’m guessing you forgive me?” Kulukath whispered, before pressing his lips gently on hers, wrapping his arms tighter around her waist, though not to the point it’d be uncomfortable. He was so happy that she was back—despite the fact he’d almost left. He wanted to be a father. He wanted to be her lover. He wanted to be everything she could ever dream of having, but he was afraid suddenly that he wouldn’t—or couldn’t—be able to match those standards, if there were any standards to begin with. Ignoring it, he kissed her gently again.

[Spritz]

Castien gave a light hearted shrug, blinking once and turning her chocolate eyes back onto his, her head still tilted to one side. Swallowing once before she spoke, she gave him a weak smile. "I guess so." Still gazing at him, she smiled wider as he wrapped his arms tighter around her waist, making her press into his body, the only place she felt secure. His lips soon found hers, and she leaned up on tiptoe, pressing softly into the kiss.

Kulukath smiled at her answer. It was glad to have her back with him—safe. He took his lips gently off of hers and rested his head over her shoulder, swaying their two bodies back and forth in a calming manner. “I won’t let them get you again, I swear it,” Kulukath whispered. He had a bad feeling that they would try to get her back—especially that pervert Elohir, if he hadn’t already found and raped another innocent she-Elf. He hugged her closer to him, “And next time I see Elohir I won’t hesitate to rip his throat out.” Kulukath wanted to say, And I’m sure he won’t hesitate to do the same, but he kept his mouth shut.

[Spritz]

Castien frowned when Kulukath pulled his lips away from hers, but smiled slightly as she felt him resting his head on her shoulder. She slid her hands down from around his neck and claimed his hands in hers, intertwining their fingers together. Kulukath swayed them from side to side gently, and a smile played over Castien's lips. She sighed heavily, and leaned her head against his chest, nodding.

Kulukath smiled when she felt her fingers lace between his. He couldn’t begin to tell her how much he loved her, so, instead, he said, “I love you so much, you know? So much more than you’ll ever be able to fathom.” Kulukath moved back and kissed her nose gently. “I love you, I love you, I love you,” he whispered into her ear, knowing his breath would tickle the back of her neck.

[Spritz]

Castien raised her head from his chest and blinked once as he began to speak, a slow smile creeping upon her lips. Her eyes were shining, and her heart began to beat faster as Kulukath spoke. He leaned down and whispered near her ear, his hot breath on her neck making her shiver, despite herself. She held his hands tighter and closed her eyes, leaning up to kiss him and breaking his sentance. She pulled away quickly however, teasing him, and shook her head. "I love you more."

Kulukath chuckled as she kissed him, cutting him off from what he’d been saying. He hoisted her up off the ground and propped her up, bridal-style, before saying, “You cheated!” He laughed and kissed her before swirling them around in circles. “Hmm, now, how am I going to punish you for cheating…?” Kulukath asked, though it was obvious he was only being playful.
