Thínil stiffened, but didn’t try and stop Castien. Instead, she’d be cornered down here. “Stay here, don’t let her out. Either of them.” Thínil said to the guard, who grunted in approval and guarded the exit with his overly fat body, and Thínil jogged up the stairs, finding Elohir and saying, “Castien’s in the dungeons. She’s cornered in there.”

Kulukath looked up, “Castien? Castien!” Kulukath rushed towards the bars again, only to be knocked back yet again. “Gah, I’ve got to remember not to do that…” Kulukath muttered, rubbing the back of his head sensitively.

Castien set her jaw determindly as she heard the guard shuffle into place, his ugly, monsterous face snarling and awful. She felt herself trembling slightly as she saw a hunched figure in the corner, in a large, iron cage, and slowly neared it, falling to her knee's near the cage. She tried to stop Kulukath as he touched the bar's again, and was thrown back as a harsh form of electricity bolted through him, making her cry out. "Kulukath!"

Kulukath shook his head, dazed slightly. “Castien…” Kulukath moved as close to her as he possibly could without getting electrocuted. His eyes filled with tears, “Castien I’m so sorry… I… I should’ve been there… I should be there… Now that… that bastard is going to get you… And there’s… there’s not going to be anything that I can do… can do about it…” Kulukath dropped his face into his hands.

Castien quickly tuned Kulukath out, her sharp brown eyes racing over the bars, examining the electricity, watching the sparks scuttle over the iron. Shaking her head slightly, she pretended to listen, but meanwhile her mind was racing, trying to figure out a way to get Kulukath out safely. She raised her eyes to his face, and her heart throbbed painfully. She reached her hand softly inside the bars, her slip wrist able to fit in between them without touching, and took his hand in hers.

Kulukath shook his head, only to feel Castien’s petite hand on his. He looked up and smiled weakly, lacing his fingers through hers. It was in that very moment that Kulukath’s determination was renewed. He wasn’t going to let that fool Elohir rape his lover, or even dare to touch her. “I don’t have a plan, though,” Kulukath muttered to himself, staring around him at the cell. “Castien,” he said, voice strong once more, and he looked her straight in the eyes. “Castien, I need you to get out of here. Mind tossing me my dagger, however?” Kulukath winked, signaling he had a plan in mind.

“Elohir, come! Castien’s in a dead-end in the dungeons—there’s no way she can get out,” Thínil said desperately, pulling on Elohir’s hand very gently. “Hurry, before she gets past the guard.”

Castien let a slight, sad smile touch her lips as Kulukath laced his fingers in with hers. She was forced to keep her arm still, as a sudden movement would press it against the bars, resulting in her being shocked, possibly electricuted. As soon as Kulukath asked for his dagger, she turned, looking to where the orc was guarding the enterance, and quietly slipped her hand down to her hip, pretending to be in a hushed conversation with Kulukath. Her fingers quickly untied the belt, and she slipped it between the bars, leaping backwards as her skin brushed against the iron, a powerful bolt of electricity buzzing through her. Lying on the cold dank floor, she saw stars, and pushed herself up to her elbow, trying to regain her wits.

Elohir was soon found by Thinil, and gave her a pleased smile. Perhaps she wasn't all that bad after all... The hiring of the orc guard had seemed to be a good thing, and he gave credit to himself for that. Giving her a curt nod, he started making his way towards the dungeons.

Thínil smiled once he’d turned his back, feeling rather proud of herself. Maybe she could gain his favor this way? It was, however, not uncommon for the she-elves to do the bidding of their mate. Though she and Elohir were not mates, she felt this uncanny (and rather uncomfortable) feeling that he would easily be able to manipulate her, no matter how hard she tried to fight back. But in the current situation, she’d allow herself to be manipulated, if it meant gaining his favor.

Kulukath moved forward immediately once Castien got electrocuted, only to be zapped back himself. “Gah, I still haven’t learned,” he grimaced, rubbing his head and putting his dagger back in his belt’s sheath. He heard footsteps on the stairs, and he said, “Castien! You have to hurry! Get out of here before somebody sees you—or worse, catches you.” Kulukath spoke in an urgent whisper, as not to alert the orc guard.

Castien winced as she heard Kulukath get zapped, and shook her head, pushing herself off of the cold ground and into a crouched position. She made her way over to his cage again, and kneeled down by its front, before gazing at him intently with her wide brown eyes, that held sharp shards of pain and confusion. She turned her hand sideways and slowly slipped it between the bars, her face holding a slightly saddened expression. She had been about to speak, when a loud grunt came from the orc, the noise hidious and making a shiver of fear spaz down her spine. Hearing footsteps, she nearly pressed herself against the cage in order to get closer to Kulukath, but was reminded of the power around it when she was shocked again, though not as harshly as she had pulled back in time.

“Castien!” Kulukath snapped protectively, “Be careful!” His expression softened, then hardened again when he saw who was coming down the stairs. Immediately on his feet, Kulukath growled, “You stay away from her! If you so much as touch her, I’m going to rip these bars apart with my bare hands and strangle you to death!” Though it was harsh, Kulukath meant every word of it.

Wincing slightly as Kulukath snapped at her, Castien moved away from the cage, and slunk further into the dark shadows. If she went any farther, this small tunnel would branch off into several others, and she didn't know what horrors would lie in those depths. The orc by himself was hideous, with small red eyes, a huge, hulking figure and canines that jutted out of his bottom jaw. He had a serious underbite, and had thin black hair that was rather long and greasy. His skin was mottled and full of what seemed like blistering wounds, and she couldn't help but give a small shiver. Elohir pushed past him, and gazed into the darkness, his crystal blue eyes making Castien shiver as they landed on her form.

Kulukath gritted his teeth, silently unsheathing his dagger and getting ready to chuck it right at Elohir’s neck. “Leave her alone!” he roared, stepped up as close to the bars as he could possibly get without receiving a nasty shock. “I’ll kill you right now if you so much as breathe on her!” Kulukath grimaced, hating himself for being locked up in this cursed cell.

Elohir turned his bright blue eyes back to Kulukath, and winced slightly, in a rather provoking fashion. "Really Kulukath... I dont see what you all can do, considering you're locked in that cage." He swiftly reached up behind his head, grasping the head of an arrow and pulling it down, notching it on the string and pointing it at Castien. "You throw, I'll shoot." Castien narrowed her eyes angrily, backing up slightly as Elohir persisted to come closer.

Kulukath had brought the dagger back behind his ear, having a clear shot now right at his temple. He stopped immediately, however, when Elohir trained an arrow on Castien. Fear pounding at his heart, Kulukath shouted, “Wait! Don’t touch her! Please! I’ll do anything! Just leave her alone!” Kulukath let his dagger clamber to the floor, accepting defeat.

A faint smirk crossed Elohir's features, as Kulukath dropped the knife. Castien's eyes widened, and she looked at him with an unbelieving glare. Sure, she would have done the same thing, but....! Shaking her head, a slight rumbling noise behind her made her whirl around. Elohir grabbed her arm, and before she knew what was happening, she was pushed deeper into the tunnels, soon out of Kulukath's sight.

Kulukath rushed to the bars as Castien disappeared, Elohir on her trail. “CASTIEN!” Kulukath screamed, only to be electrocuted when he got to near the bars. “Castien!” He screamed again, only being rewarded with a harsh thrash on the cell bars by the orc, who obviously misjudged the strength he was using on the bars, and they cracked under the force. Getting an idea, and filling himself up with hope and determination, Kulukath screamed again, “Castien! CASTIEN!” The orc hit the cage again, like expected, until her heard the snap! of the iron bars as they caved in. Easily jumping out through the crack in the bars, only to be zapped slightly when his bare back brushed over the iron, he dashed as fast as he could down the corridors, following Castien’s unmistakable scent.

"Perhaps," Elohir forced Castien farther into the darkness, her bare feet landing on shards of sharp glass that layered the ground below. She winced and tried to pull away, but was rewarded with a harsh slap to her face. "Perhaps you'll realize how good you had it now, after we mellow you down a bit, dont you think! Sweetheart." He pronounced the word distainfully, and Castien let out a hiss of anger, before she was shoved further down the tunnel, held with a knife to her throat.

Kulukath was forced to morph into a snake. The tunnels were too dark for him to see regularly, but the snake’s heat-vision would help him easily spot them. From down the corridor, he heard voices echoing and a resounding slap. Hissing quietly, Kulukath slithered as fast as possible down the corridor until he reached them, lunging and sinking his fangs into Elohir’s ankle.

Feeling the cold blade pressing onto her skin, Castien closed her eyes. She submitted slightly, and walked ahead of Elohir, not wanting to die, not yet. Minutes slowly passed, the darkness getting thicker, the air harder to breathe. Suddenly, light flooded the room, as Elohir lit a torch on the wall. The reflections of the flames danced over the cave walls, and illuminated his hard features. She cried out as she was pushed into a large cell, the iron bolt clicking into place. Suddenly, Elohir cried out, lifting his foot. Castien saw that a large snake was hanging off it, fangs sinking deep into his flesh.

Seeing him treat Castien so roughly was the last straw. He was going to kill this elf if it was the last thing he did. Leaving Castien and his (hopefully to be born) unborn child fatherless and lover-less gave her no reason not to submit to Elohir. But if Elohir was dead, it wouldn’t matter. If Kulukath died, it wouldn’t matter. She’d be safe from her oppression. Taking his fangs from Elohir’s ankle, he morphed into his human form and pushed Elohir against the wall, “I thought I told you not to touch her,” Kulukath snarled through gritted teeth

Elohir gripped the snake in his hands, and Castien gasped as Kulukath morphed back to his human form. He shoved Elohir up against the wall, and Castien moved to the other side of the cage. Wrapping her hands around the bars, she cried out as she was shocked harshy, feeling the electricity pulsing through her. The pain was awful, searing through her body and she fell backwards, onto the ground. Elohir narrowed his eyes, his knife still in his hand. "Watch it, or I'll kill her!"

“No, you won’t kill her!” Kulukath taunted, “You’re too lovesick and lustful for her that you wouldn’t dare kill her until she’d pleased you in every means you wanted her to.” Kulukath snarled, cuffing Elohir’s neck in one of his hands, clenching his fingers around it angrily, “You also wouldn’t kill her because I’m right here, and I’ll rip your head off of your neck if you so much as move an inch in her direction.”

Elohir made a slightly strangled noise as Kulukath's fingers clenched around his neck. It was true, even if he hated to admit it. Castien was rubbing her palms where they had been seared from the heated electricity, and her eyes were worried. Kneeling on the ground, she didn't dare touch the bars again. Elohir opened his mouth to speak, his face growing red with the lack of air.

After giving Elohir a cold, hard stare, scrutinizing every aspect of his admittedly decent looks, he shoved him off to the side and stalked over to the bars of the cell. He attempted to unlatch the bolt, but apparently it’d been stuck fast. Gritting his teeth, Kulukath put his hands on the bars, ignoring the searing pain that threatened to blow him off of his feet, he ripped the bars apart with brute strength—and a determination unmatched.

Elohir gasped for air as soon as Kulukath let his grip slacken, and as he moved to Castien's cage, he fell to the ground, weak from the lack of air. Coughing, he sat on his hands and knees, trying to get his strength back before raging another attack at Kulukath. Castien shook her head wildly as Kulukath gripped the bars. "No!" She cried, pushing him away and prying his fingers off of the bars, rewarding herself with almost being electacuted. "Get back, you'll kill yourself!"

Kulukath let her pry his fingers off the first time—the electricity was enough to kill any human man, “It’s worth it, if it keeps you safe,” Kulukath muttered huskily, sweat beading his forehead from the effort it took to keep his grip on the electric bars. “Don’t stop me, Castien. Not this time. You’ll hurt yourself.” Kulukath took another large breath and placed his palms on the iron bars, prying them apart until he had a space large enough for her to crawl through.
