Castien sighed, moving farther to the side, but still keeping up alright, though she did trip a few times when she lost her concentration. She was silent, and so was he. The only sounds were thier paws padding across the ground, and the slight rustling of the trees above. Looking around her, Castien frowned. "This isn't permanent, right?"

[Guest]

Kulukath turned and stared at her, smirking in a rather scary way. "Why, yes, it is. Until you learn how to harness your powers and get out of that state, it's permanent. So get used to it." Kulukath trotted out into an open circle of rocky ground. Trees were oddly shaped in a perfect circle around it and he bounded into the center and began to wipe away the dust with his wing.

[Spritz]

"What!?" Castien snapped, growing indignent. Her large brown eyes widened, growing larger, and she growled softly, her tail flicking from side to side in an agitated manner. "If you dare go back into your other form, and leave me... in this one, I'll kill you! Figurativley speaking!" She snapped, her claws extending as she snarled at him.

Kulukath laughed, but ignored her comments otherwise. He flicked his tail and removed the rest of the leaves and dust with a mighty roar, using some wind power to shoot from his maw and get all the other debris away. In the circle there were many different symbols, all representing something very different. One was for Windfyre, but Kulukath was going to take Castien to school, and he smirked.

[Spritz]

Indignant but curious, the snow leopard, aka Castien stepped forward, her paws landing lightly on the ground. Reaching the middle, she cocked her head at the signs that were etched onto the ground, and she sat back on her haunches, tail flicking from side to side in concentration. Raising her head, she eyed Kulukath warrily, then spoke.
"What are they?"

Kulukath yawned, stretched, and sat upon a symbol that displayed a snake intertwined with fire. As soon as he sat on it squarely, it blazed up in fire, a real snake appearing and swirling around with the fire, engaging itself in some foreign dance. Kulukath stayed put as Castien talked, and roared his answer over the blazing fire and hisses of the large, fire-birthed snake, "They're symbols for magicry. Find yours and see what happens."

[Spritz]

Frowning, she lightly took a step back as the large snake writhed in place. Not knowing what to do exactly, she traveled from one symbol to another, placing her paw on each one in order, with no result. After a few minutes of waiting and testing, she flopped down onto her stomach, her tail brushing over a symbol she hadn't noticed. It started to glow, and she stepped back, alarmed, before looking up at Kulukath.

Kulukath stared at her as she walked around rather aimlessly. She had seemed to give up when her tail brushed over the Windfyre symbol. Smiling at her, frankly, terrified look, he commented, "Go ahead. Sit on it."

Castien looked down at the symbol, then back at him. "Sit on it." She said blandly. "You want me to place my rear on the symbol?" She rolled her eyes. "That seems a bit disrespectful to me, dont you think?" Her tail brushed over the symbol again, and she peered down at the glowing sign.

Kulukath rolled his eyes at her childish behaviour. "Well it doesn't matter, really. These are just the symbols, not the real thing. The real thing is inside you. So, no, it's not disrespectful in the slightest." Kulukath gave her an obnoxious smile meant to tick her off a bit, then flicked his tail. "Just sit on it already, will you? I don't have the time to train you all day, you know."

[Spritz]

Castien shook her head. She knew she shouldn't push him to his breaking point, because he would snap, and he would probably end up wanting to kill her, and either storming off, or going through with the deed. She flopped to her stomach, her paw resting on the symbol, and it grew brighter as she watched, the breeze picking up slightly and rustling her beautiful fur, her ears pricked upwards, listening.

(He has mind reading and control powers, right?)

[ yes, but he rarely uses them. He prefers the sensible tactics of shapeshifting. ALSO, there has to be an animal that's intertwined with your symbol. You can choose what it is, but if you don't I can't go through with my idea. XD That okay with you? ]

Kulukath eyed her for a moment, disapproval written plainly on his leopard-y features. Shrugging slightly, he watched as the wind picked up around her. "So, it really is Windfyre, huh?" Kulukath muttered quietly to himself as he watched. He'd never seen the Windfyre symbol actually activated before, therefore he didn't know what kind of animal it would conjure up. He was both intimidated and excited. The most thrilling part was about to come.

[Spritz]

(Oh, its fine, but I cant think of a suitable animal!! Before I post, can you maybe help me think of something? Well, I'm guessing it might have wings, since its 'wind' fyre after all...)

[ pheonix, eagle, horse, or tiger, I'd say. Those are the most related. If you can think of something else....? Pheonix may be most appropriate, since it is a bird (WIND) and it is a fire bird (FYRE).... it works, but you choose ultimately. ]

As the symbol started to grow stronger, a deep orange mist rose around her paw, making its way farther up her leg. She forced herself to stay where she was, to not back away, but as the orange light started wrapping itself around her body, she looked at Kulukath, then turned her head, flicking her ears slightly and wondering if what came next was something she would want to avoid.

Kulukath stared on at the symbol, growing more and more intruiged by it. He faintly recognized the orange outline, but he wasn't one hundred percent sure. Panic crossed his face as her eyes threatened that she was going to move from her spot. "No! Stay there! And would you just sit the hell down!?" Kulukath growled the last part.

"Fine!" Castien snapped, plopping down ontop of the symbol and glaring at the ground near her paws. Suddenly, a tingling sensation rocked its way over her, making her fur stand on end. She lowered her head, swishing her tail back and forth agitatidly (sp) as suddenly, a sharp, peircing scream of a bird made her snarl in place, her head swinging upwards, eyes narrowing as a large, flaming bird erupted into the sky, flapping its powerfull wings to keep it steady.

Kulukath smiled at her. He growled suddenly at the burst of the bird and the loud screech. Once the pheonix's shape was confirmed, a light blue color intertwined with reds, oranges, and yellows, due to the Windfyre, Kulukath stared in amazement. "A pheonix! That's amazing!" Kulukath almost got up, but shook his head. "All right. You must be wondering why we have these. Well, the answer is simple, really: to fight. Magic users do not fight unless they have a place like this. Otherwise the fight is considered unfair and improper. Even if the bloodlust of one opponent is too great to supress, they refuse to fight another magic user unless they have a circle like this. It's called the War Circle. Original, huh? Anyways, I'll teach you how to duel."

[Spritz]

Staring up at the huge bird, who was looking down at her with its intelegent eyes, she blinked once, the pheonex cocking his firey head to one side as he observed this leopard under him. Castien gazed up at it, and her ears flicked momentarily to the side as she head Kulukath speak. Duel? Hopefully not with him, or things might get a little bit too messy. Tearing her gaze away from the bird, she slowly turned to Kulukath, and shook her head.
"This is so.... weird."

Kulukath ignored her comment and obvious uncomfortable feeling that seeped into her words. "All right, you have a pheonix, I have a snake. Not a very fair match, is it? Well, that's okay." Kulukath went back to his humanoid form and stood up on the stone symbol, the fire raged around him, then settled back down and the snake came over to him and his outstretched palm. "Once you master your Elemental Creature---more commonly known as elekreys---it allows you to use special or hidden attacks. What we're---me and my elekrey, Phsyke---going to teach you is how to master your creature. Of course none of the elekreys come willingly. So, you'll have to fight a duel with your elekrey before you can actually master it. Failure to win the duel with your elekrey will result in loss of power, and you won't ever be able to duel with that elekrey, and you'll have to rely on your own strength. Most magic users are able to defeat their elekreys, but since you are a beginner, and your elekrey is a pheonix, it may be a bit more difficult. So," he paused and took in a deep breath, "Let the battle begin."

[Spritz]

"What!?" Castien's head snapped back up, watching the pheonex who was watching her even more closley, his orange eyes blazing. She turned around to face Kulukath, before something hard rammed into her rib cage, making her sprawl out on the ground. The attacker? The pheonex.
"How! Am I supposed to hurt it!?" She said, leaping out of the way as the firey bird charged at her again.

Kulukath grimaced. She wasn't doing well, and the elekrey had just started to fight her. "You're allowed to move around the whole circle here until you master your elekrey. Then, and only then, will you have to be on that symbol to wield it." He smirked. "They can be rather tempermental. Especially pheonixes. Though I've never seen one, I've heard lots." Kulukath chuckled at her. "After you master this elekrey, you'll probably be able to transform back into your humanoid form. But just be sure you do it somewhere private. You haven't exactly mastered how to keep your clothes with you when you transform yet. And it's not even certain you'll ever be able to transform again without my help, seeing as you aren't a shapeshifter. The power from your elekrey may give you a bit of a boost, though. Still, nothing's certain. Anyways, just pretend you're fighting me. That will probably help."

[Spritz]

Castien's ribs hurt her, and she glared at Kulukath, who was busy yelling out instructions. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to hurt it, and how to go about fighting it, but seeing as she was in an animal form, decided to fight like an animal. His comment about her clothes would have made her blush furiously if she had been human, but seeing as leopards couldn't do that, she was thankful for the temporary sheild. Snarling softly, she crouched down as the bird made its way higher into the sky, watching her intently. Her claws extended, and as the animal started to plummet downwards, a powerful ball of fire erupted from it, flying straight at Castien, who leaped out of the way easily. It wasn't really fair, with the bird in the air and her stuck on the ground, but she would have to play a game of dodge the fire soon enough anyway.

Kulukath watched the battle and knew it wasn't going to end well. She needed a better animal form. Thinking, Kulukath decided: why not fight fire with fire? With his elekrey, Phsyke, he combined their energy, Phsyke all too ready to join in the battle, and began to wrap around Castien. "Think of pheonixes and accept the energy, Castien!" Kulukath barked as Phsyke began to glow a brilliantly bright red that was not only energy to help her transform but a barrier against the pheonix's attacks.

[Spritz]

"What!?" Castien called, leaping out of the way and snarling as the bird made another hard attack at her. She scampered closer, before retreating as energy from Kulukath and his snake pushed towards her. Deciding she didn't have much choice, she nodded and closed her eyes, momentarilly forgeting the fight. A slight prickling feeling started over her limbs and torso, and she felt like screaming in exitment and sheer amazment as the pins of thousands of vibrant orange feathers started making thier way over her body, blossoming and growing. As she watched, she was transformed into a brilliant pheonex, her large wings folded by her sides. She leaped into the air as the attacker soared closer, unfurling her wings and pumping hard, rising quickly into the sky.
