Kulukath took a step back when she was finished, fingering the scar once before dropping his hand to the hilt of his sword. He rolled his eyes and continued, "I never said that. I said most women are incapable. That's why I never married, as my mother had wanted me to. She would've been happy to see me find someone, but I think inside she knew it would never happen. That's why I don't hold myself to getting married after she was killed." Kulukath shrugged and smirked, nodding slightly, "I guess we're even." With that, Kulukath turned and continued walking.

Castien listened silently, standing still and not saying what she wished to say. She had a temper, but right now it was under control, and she didn't have anything to be mad at... Not really. Of course, she could always find something to be mad at, but....
Shaking her head, Castien shrugged and looked at him, before he turned and continued walking. She knew she shouldn't follow. It was clearly obvious that he didn't want her company, though she wouldn't necicarilly mind his. Then, a thought came into her mind. "Kulukath?" She asked, sounding rather timid, and hating herself for it.

Kulukath had gotten back his original slightly swagged walk, until she said his name. She sounded tentative, as if she was afraid saying his name aloud would make him lash out at her. Back in the Demon Kingdom, he surely would have, but here? No. Shadowhaph was gone for the moment, but a new demon dictatorship would inevitably be replacing Shadowhaph, and Kulukath's problems will renew themselves once more. Kulukath turned around fully and stared at Castien for a moment, taking in her details, storing them away in the back of his mind before replying, "Yes?"

Castien clenched her fists slightly, her fingers flexing then curling into her palm. She didn't look at him, and the dead silence before he spoke made her want to fall over and... faint or something. Her face was rather pale, her hair slightly askew around her head, her deep chocolate eyes trained on the ground. She wouldn't ask him what she really wanted too, but she swallowed once, before biting her lip softly.
"What is this?" Without looking at him, she held out her palm. As she opened her fist, a slight blue swirl arose from it, swirling in the breeze.

Kulukath cocked an eyebrow. She sure was acting strange; no longer the kick-ass Elvin assassin she'd been only hours before. Now he saw a timid, shy woman who wanted nothing more than to be recognized for her natural abilities, and not her way with a blade. Kulukath frowned and whisped away the blue swirls, keeping them alive in his own hands, letting them swirl around his fingers and up his arm, back to his hand and off his index finger and onto her palm. "Looks like a part of Windfyre. Pretty rare, I'll admit. But you better learn how to harness Windfyre. It can be very dangerous if wielded improperly, both to the environment and to the user."

The silence rang in Castien's ears, and she was almost afraid to speak, glad that Kulukath had spoken before she did. As he spoke, she took in the deep concentration in his voice, the low sound, no longer sounding menacing. She knew all to well what he sounded like when he was angry, and her large chocolate eyes met his for a second, before finding thier place on the dirt at his feet. She felt a slight tingling in her palm, and looked up, watching as the light blue...whatever it was, make its way around his arm, then traveling back to her own palm. As he spoke, she listened carefully. She had no idea what he was talking about, then clasped her hand shut.
"A what?"

Kulukath frowned at her when she didn't understand. Obviously this woman had been hidden from her real talents. Had them sealed away from her and never taught about them, probably out of fear. Windfyre, after all, was quite deadly and Elves have had bad history with wielders of Windfyre. She was probably feared in great amounts or an outcast. Kulukath knew not which one, or a different reason, it was, as he said, "Windfyre. How old are you?" Kulukath knew the question would be rude for any other man, but Kulukath couldn't be classified as a ''gentleman.''

Castien raised an eyebrow at his question, but she cleared her throat to speak. "Twenty? I think?" She set her jaw, her eyes rather troubled as she thought. "Yes, I'm sure. Twenty. There's never any need for me to recall, so I never do." She said softly, her voice light and rather tentative. She wasn't sure if she could handle another explosion from him, and bit her lip softly, looking at the ground.

Kulukath was rather surprised to hear her age. So she'd been able to fully access Windfyre for four years now? And she never figured it out until now? Grimacing, Kulukath continued to interrogate the young woman, "Well, twenty. Sixteen is the age you get your Windfyre powers completely. I'm surprised you managed to survive this long with them and not know about them. Windfyre is a very profound category of magicry. So, I'll have a few more questions to ask you, I guess." Kulukath shrugged momentarily, "First, how did you become an assassin and why? Where is your homeland and why did you leave?" Kulukath knew this may take a while, so he leaned casually back against a tree.

Castien looked worried when he grimaced, but didn't say anything, being quiet until he had finished speaking. "Why did I leave? Why!?" Painfull memories flooded through her mind. "I was an outcast, that's why. Why did I decide to be an assasin?" She paused, not sure she wanted to share her reasoning. He would probably diss her and tell her it was stupid, and to go get a life.
"To prove I was capable... To prove that I was better than everyone that made my whole life miserable."

Kulukath's anger boiled slightly at her rude retort. "If you are going to snap, I don't have to help you, you know," Kulukath said through gritted teeth, tightening his muscles in a punching stance without meaning to, though his arms were still crossed. Sighing, he nodded. "Wielders of Windfyre are often outcasts. You probably don't know, but Elves had a very difficult battle with the users of Windfyre. They used to be a clan, in fact. Windfyre Creek, the clan's proper name, actually. It was a real place, I used to live there after their demise. I was alive to watch the battle. I'm that old," Kulukath grimaced. "But, that's not important. Your life---and more importantly, mine---will be in danger if you don't know how to use Windfyre and harness its abilities."

"No," Castien sighed, shaking her head. "I didn't mean to snap at you. Emotions sometimes take ahold of you." She answered, before raising her head. "So how do I?" She noted his tensness, and stepped back a bit. "I can go. I know you dont want me here."

Kulukath eyed her for a minute. He frowned at her and then shrugged. "I can't teach you, really. I don't have power over Windfyre. I can only teach you the basics, but even that may not help you harness Windfyre. It's quite difficult. I'm rather pissed at the Elves for not teaching you how to use it. Now how are you going to be successful at magicry?" Kulukath began talking to himself.

Castien looked away, rather embarrased. "It's fine." Her voice seemed softer and rather hesitant. "I'll be fine. I dont have to do anything with it. As long as I keep it hidden, I'll be fine. You'll be fine, right? I cant hurt anything if I cant use it, right?" She suddenly saw that she was raiding him with questions. "Sorry."

Kulukath shrugged, his lip twitching in irritation when she kept bombarding him with questions. He rolled his eyes, "No, it's not 'okay.' Even if you don't know how to wield the powers, they do. One of these days you're going to get into a fight and end up destroying yourself and possibly anything within a hundred miles of you. That's how powerful and dangerous Windfyre is."

Castien sighed heavily, and sank down against a tree trunk, leaning forward and placing her palm over her eyes. "It would be better if I wasn't even alive then." She muttered under her breath, before glancing up and raising an eyebrow. "But you have strong powers too?"

Kulukath stared at her, but didn't try and be reassuring by telling her that wasn't true. To be completely honest, he didn't give a damn whether she was alive or not, as long as she wasn't trying to slit his throat. He shrugged halfheartedly. "Well, I do. But Windfyre alone is a very deadly weapon. I'd probably be the only one who's capable of withstanding it, though I'd be left badly injured and out of energy. I may end up dying from the aftershock, and not the attack itself. But that's only because I'm a mixblood. So, you'll have to learn to harness your powers, or I'll be sure to keep my distance." Kulukath smirked at his rather cruel joke.

"Ha, funny." Castien said, rather blandly. Her face was expressionless, and she rolled her eyes. Pushing herself off of the ground, she dusted off her backside, before stepping away from him.
"Thanks for your time.. I'll just live in a remote area I guess. I'm not social anyways." With that, she started to stride away, her arms crossed over her chest.

Kulukath grinned at her, a rather odd and rare smile, but it was genuine. He'd made himself cockily proud, and he wasn't afraid to show it. As she turned around to go away, he turned into the snow leopard form again and strode up beside her, quickly head-butting her leg, transmitting some of his energy into her to give her the momentary ability to turn into a snow leopard also, if she caught the signals of energy and harnessed them with her Windfyre.

Castien heard a slight rustling behind her, but didn't bother to turn around. She knew, by experience that he wouldn't bother to follow. She stiffened as something furry bumped against her leg, and she straightened, before a strange sensation came over her. Suddenly, without her even wanting too, the blue light started to swirl around her, before she fell to her knees. She watched in horrer as white and grey fur started to cover her arms, feeling her fingernails turning into claws. Within seconds, the transformation was complete, and she whirled around, her eyes wild with fear and exitment. "What just happened?!"

Kulukath stared at her momentarily, watching intently as she transformed. It was different. But she'd have to find clothes when she went back to a humanoid form. Her clothes wouldn't be able to transform with her, seeing as this was her first transformation. It's why Kulukath often went without a shirt. He'd learned, however, to mend his tattered pants to his skin whenever he transformed. Yawning, he smiled, "You transformed, with a little help." Kulukath winked and began to trot forward.

Not used to having to walk on four legs, Castien stumbled a bit, over her large paws. Her tail flicked from side to side, and her ears pricked upright as Kulukath moved forward. They were almost the splitting image of eachother, exept for his wing. She broke into a run to catch up, but only managed to trip over her paws and skidded on the gronud slighty. She turned on her back and sighed heavily.
"I'm hopeless."

Kulukath let out a rather gutteral laugh when she tripped over herself. Smiling, he turned back and nudged her back to her feet, using his wing to support both of their weight. "Well now, I think we should get back into training, eh? I have a great place to train. Just try and keep up, won't you?" Kulukath turned and began at a brisk trot once more.

"I cant guarantee that." She muttered, embarrased as he had to help her up. Getting to her paws once again, she gingerly focused on moving her legs all at the same time, before she soon got the hang of it and was able to keep up some, though she still lagged behind a bit. She trotted to his side, her tail swiping behind her, brushing against his on accident, though she pretended not to notice.

Kulukath snorted lightly as he listened to her padding along behind him, just to make sure she wasn't lagging too far behind. Kulukath jumped away when her tail brushed against his, completely caught off guard. "Oh, eh, sorry. Thought I heard something." Kulukath shook his head and began to trot ahead of her, trying to avoid that situation from happening again. They were nearly there, anyways.
