I flinched thinking he had hit me like my old dad did and I had the scars to prove it. I scurried to the other side of the den to wait for my mom to bring me back breakfast, I perked my ears trying to pick up sound that might single my mom is coming back but got nothing so I waited and waited excited to see her.
