Gilraen's home was closer than she'd expected. It only took about 20 minutes to reach it. When she got there, she dismounted the mare and told her to return to Caldrion, but not to lead him to where she was. Gilraen smiled and pat the mare on the muzzle before walking into her own destroyed house that was now crawling with weeds and vines that had intertwined with the wood. She could see the beach from her window where they had first made love, and sighed, placing the boys in the cradle that still sat in the corner of the room they'd once shared. Gilraen sighed heavily.

[Spritz]

I took the sword, readying myself. I walk steadily to the clearing, seeing Voromere kneeling in the grass, hiding something... I stepped back, he hadn't seen me. Watching closley, I could make out a small weapon that was concealed in the grass, but that was all. His dragon was gone, and he was left alone, but not defensless.

Gilraen curled up on the bed they had shared so many nights and hugged the pillow closely, and a beetle scuttled out, which she flicked angrily off the bed. A tear slipped down her cheek at the thought that Caldrion may never return home to her. She may as well adjust to loneliness now. She clenched her eyes shut and sighed, praying to any and every god that Caldrion would make it safely back into her arms.

[Spritz]

Voromeres head snapped up, hearing me in the shadow's. "Well, my brother. I knew you would come back." He smirked, and I narrowed my eyes. "You think you can kill me?" He smiled evily. "No, my dear brother, no."

Gilraen turned on her side angrily and tried her hardest not to think of all the possibilities of what could happen to Caldrion. She ended up burrying her face in her pillow, only to hear the crying of Valandril. Thankful for the distraction, Gilraen got up and went to go breastfeed the boys. It would at least take her mind off of Caldrion and Voromere for the time being.

[Spritz]

I stared at my brothers face, hard and cruel. Stepping out into the open, I held the sword in front of me. He smirked, pulling out his own sword. It was long and sharp, glowing with a feirce light. "Its enchanted," He informed me with a grin. "You cant hurt me!" He said. I lunged, clashing my sword with his, parrying as he tried to stab me through the heart. The blade nicked shoulder, cutting a deep slash inside that burned with a feirce pain.

Once Gilraen had finished with Valandril, she picked up Elendril, the little boy who looks so much like his father, even though he hadn't even began to sprout hair on his tiny head yet. After all, he was only a few weeks, maybe a month or two, old. Sighing, Gilraen finished with him and put the boys to bed.
She knew what she had to do. She sat down on the bed and began an incantation, which let her reach out and see what was going on. He was too far for her to be able to heal him or anything, but she would at least be able to see what was happening. When the image appeared, she saw a gash on Caldrion's shoulder, and the downside was she felt his pain as her own, and she grimaced, but kept watching.

[Spritz]

Giving a hiss of pain, Voromere smiled. "And I know exactly where Gilraen is. Once you're dead, theres nothing you can do to save her from me!" He informed me smugly. His blade grew brighter, and he tried to stab me once again. I again blocked, metal on metal, resulting in a sickening clang. Pushing forward, He retreated a few steps, as I slashed forward, catching him offguard and cutting his hand that held the sword. In pain, he dropped it, and I snatched it up in an instant.

Gilraen watched the battle intently, but she felt the pain still in her own shoulder. She whined quietly and finally let go of the battle's scene, unable to keep up with the effort it was taking her. She cursed under her breath. She'd stopped it right before Caldrion had picked up the sword, so she had no idea what would happen to her lover. Her shoulder still throbbed for a few moments before she lifted up her shoulder's shirt sleeve. She bit her tongue when she saw there was a long scar. She'd forgotten the properties of an enchanted sword. Since she'd seen the battle happen and physically been dealt the wound, the scar would stay there. Angrily, she pulled her shirt sleeve back down and cursed herself for her ignorance.

[Spritz]

I lunged at my brother, but the sword flew back to his hand as he raised it, slashing my palm as it swept by. With almost inhuman speed, he lunged, pinning me to the ground, holding the sword above my chest. I grimaced, and vainly tried to parry it, but it was too late. It plunged deep within me, but missed my heart, as that was not what he was aiming for. It stuck near my collar bone, and I screamed in pain, as the enchantment made it more than pain.

Gilraen suddenly felt a pain in her chest that made her cough almost unstoppably. She took in a shaky breath and used almost the entire remainder of her strength to recite the enchantment again. Gilraen saw the sword in Caldrion's chest, and she screamed 'no!' before letting the vission blur and leave her sight, the pain in her chest and shoulder from the enchantment taking its toll, but not as badly as it would on Caldrion, who had actually received the wounds. The crying sapped up the last of her strength, and she accordingly passed out.

[Spritz]

Voromere quickly withdrew the sword roughly, and ran into the forest to the direction Gilraen had gone. I moaned in pain, rolling over as i coughed up blood. The stallion quickly saw me lying there, rushing over and standing above me, unsure what he would have to do. I gasped, trying to breathe, and the stallion somehow rolled me back over and snaked his head underneath me, getting me on his back with less than gently moves.

Gilraen woke groggily about 15 minutes later, and she heard footsteps outside. She cocked an eyebrow, hoping it was Caldrion and she had simply had a bad dream. She took in a shaky breath that heart her chest, and she looked out the window to see what she'd been dreading. It was Voromere. She immediately ran to the door and shut it, running back into the corner nad huddling against herself.

[Spritz]

Blood still trickling out of my mouth, the horse galloped onwards, heading towards Gilraens village.

Voromere kicked the door open, bloody sword in hand. His keen eyes swept across the house, spotting the long figure of Gilraen in the corner. He smiled, holding the blade up to the sun, the sword dripping with Caladrins blood.

When Voromere entered the house with the bloodied sword, Gilraen flung herself upon him and began beating his shoulder with her fists, summoning the meager strength she had left. "What did you do to him!?" Gilraen screamed, though her voice was muffled by tears that were pouring down her face. She could feel the scars on her palm, shoulder, and chest searing with each breath she took.

[Spritz]

Voromere smiled, taking Gilraens hand in his. "No my dear! Caladrin tried to kill you! I am the one who saved you from him!" The faint glow of magic played around the edges of his pupils, as he concentrated. His own magic erupted from his fingertips as he held her hand, making a slight shiver rack through him.

Gilraen stared at him with confusion a moment, barely able to notice the magic flowing through his and her hands. Something in his eyes kept hers glued to his. "Wait... what?" Gilraen asked, shaking her head, rather confused. She felt strangely as though she was losing something, but she couldn't place her finger on what. Suddenly grasping his words she said, still sounding confused, "Well... thank you..."

[Spritz]

"It was nothing my dove." He smiled, magic sparking deep inside him and gaining power rapidly. He leaned forward, pressing his lips on hers, leaning into her. At that moment, the bleeding, dying Caladrin was galloped into the town, the stallions bay hide now red, covered with his masters blood. Caladrin fell onto the ground, clutching his chest and gasping as he tried to breath.

(Can someone find Caladrin and help heal him? Girl or Guy, it doesn't matter)

Gilraen squeaked gently at the unexpected gesture. Having forgotten Caladrin, almost, and being told he tried to kill her, Gilraen smiled through the kiss and wrapped her arms around the stranger's neck. She figured it was what he wanted, and it'd be a good way to say thanks.


The small pink creature smelled blood and heard the trampling of hooves. It flicked up its tiny ears and shuffled towards the Elven man who had fallen from his horse, and it though to him to be dead. It crawled over to him and laid its nose on one of his worse wounds, his chest wound, and a white light shot throughout a 10 foot radius, and the wound was healed on the outside. Even the scar was gone. The bleeding would be stopped, but the tissue and muscle would have to repair itself. The creature stared at the man, wondering if he needed any more help.
