Gilraen smiled simply when she felt Caldrion's hands stroking her fingers. She looked down over the side of the dragon and onto the ground. It was a lovely view from up here, although she couldn't see much, given their height. So, she closed her eyes and just reveled in the closeness of her lover and children.

Within the hour, the dragon landed, only a few hundred yards from thier house. I slipped off, and helped Gilraen down, doing a double take when I saw the house. It was runined.

Gilraen hopped off the dragon and groaned. It was rather uncomfy. She stared at their house and walked into it, "Caldrion! What happened!?" She ran her fingers over the splintered wood, staring at the once-lovely foundation that was now in shambles.

I sighed. "It was my brother, do doubt." Running my fingers over the spintered, runined wood, I looked down, worried and also dissapointed. How could my brother do that much to hurt us?

Gilraen stared at him, "You have a brother?" She asked. "What would he want, Caldrion? Why would he do this?" Gilraen was growing a strong hatred for Caldrion's brother, even though she knew she shouldn't, seeing as she'd never met him before. It was wrong. But he'd destroyed the home she'd helped build.

I throw my head in my hands. "My brother is Voromere." I said softly. He had always been jelous of me, ever since we had been children. I had no idea how he became an elder, at the mere age of 65 elf years.

Gilraen's mouth dropped open. "And you never told me? Your brother is an Elder!" Gilraen shook her head, too shocked to speak any more. "So I almost got fucked by your brother!? That's so wrong!" Gilraen whined and rested her forehead against the splintered wood of the house.

I sighed, pulling her to me. "You're brother and law. And I didnt even know he was an elder!" I looked deep into her eyes, mine full of concern. "He didn't.... Do anything, did he?" I asked desperatly.

Gilraen sighed and rested her head on his chest. She saw the concern in his eyes, and she felt bad for blowing up at him. "No," Gilraen said. "He made me wear this, and he played around a bit..." she shuddered. "But nothing seriously. You came just in time." she smiled weakly and kissed him shortly.

I pursed my lips. "Alright then.. I believe you." After thier short kiss, I turned, and stooped into the ruined house, taking whatever belongings I could find that were still salvagable.
(Im going to have to go to my horse lesson in about half an hour. Soo, dont get mad if I leave:( Life is busy.... Smile

Gilraen stepped further into the house. She noticed one of the only things not destroyed was the crib. Fearful about what its symbolism could mean, she took the boys and put them in the crib before helping Caldrion get a few items that may be useful to them, and that were still in tact. "He's... not going to come back for us, will he?" Gilraen grimaced. He was an Elder. He probably would. If they were caught now, Caldrion would probably serve a life sentence for breaking out of prison. And her? She had no idea what horrors Voromere would bestow upon her.

I shook my head. "Even if he did, It wouldn't matter. I swore to protect my family, and I will, no matter what." I knew my words werent exactly soothing, but it was the truth. I throw some clothes into an old bag, and toss Gilraen a blouse and slacks. "I would be happier to see you get out of that getup.."

Gilraen nodded at his words. She had a feeling no matter what he did, he wouldn't prevent another attack from Voromere. He'd probably bring help. And he'd probably kill Caldrion. Gilraen shivered at the thought of her lover dead. She would kill herself, if she was forced to live without Caldrion. She nodded and took the clothing, going into another room and changing into them before throwing the blue dress on the floor and entering the room. They were much more comfortable, and much more her. She sighed. "We should get moving. They're probably hot on our trail."

I nodded, hearing a familiar whinny outside. "I hope this will be more comfortable for you..." I say, as I catch a glimpse of the horse herd that had brought us here in the first place. "You look much better."

Gilraen nodded when she saw the mare that'd first carried her to this house. "Yes, it will." She grabbed an extra pack for her back so Elendril and Valandril would be able to fit comfortably on her back. She placed the boys inside and strapped it on her back. "Thanks," She said. Even though the dress had been flattering on her, she was glad to be out of it. It was totally out of her comfort zone.

The mare knelt down easily, so that Gilraen could get on her back with ease. I walked her over to the silver mare, and smiled. "Everything will be ok." I promised, then the stallion nudged me, telling me to get a move on.

Gilraen got onto the mare's back easily, adjusting the boys on her back before patting the mare's shoulder. "I hope you're right, Caldrion." Gilraen supposed the horses knew where to go, so she nudged the mare gently so they could get a move on. Voromere and his most likely army of warriors shouldn't be far behind.

I jumped nimbly onto the stallions back, and he trotted forward. Him and his mare had an unusually smooth trot, making it very easy to ride. They split from the rest of the herd, as a few dozen horses would leave quite a trail if we were to be followed.

Gilraen was on high alert. Any cracking of branch or rustle of leaves got her attention. She was uptight and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. She doubted Caldrion's promise, but not greatly. She knew he'd do anything, but that may ultimately lead to his death. And she wouldn't let that happen.

The stallion moved forward quickly through the forest, his mare following quickly behind. I looked back at Gilraen, giving her a brief smile that was meant to encourage her....

Gilraen noted his smile and gave her own, weak smile at him, but then turned her head and looked into the forest. Her only hope was that they'd get out of the forest without being ambushed.

I heard a sharp crack in the bushes behind us, and I turned around quickly, to see a large, fearsome dragon rising above us. The stallion bolted forward, calling to his mare to get out and away, with the precious cargo they carried.

Gilraen looked over her shoulder to see the dragon, and fear struck her heart. She looked at Caldrion as her horse moved in another direction. She wanted to scream, but it seemed she'd lost her voice. The mare jumped over something, and caught Gilraen off guard, and she nearly fell off, but managed to right herself just in time to see a large beast in front of her. She shrieked as the mare turned around.
