Gilraen chuckled and smiled through the sweet, tender, kiss. It was wonderful to have a lover like him. She'd never find another -- no, never. Not in her darkest nor lightest days. He was the one for her, and she knew it full well.

I leaned down, turning the grouse so the other side could be cooked. I stand up again, back to the arms of Gilraen. "I love you so much." I smiled, hand running down her jaw line.

Gilraen nodded a thanks when he moved the grouse gently so it could cook on the other side, and she wrapped her arms around his waist when he stood up again, resting her chin on the middle of his chest. "I love you more." Gilraen then let a quizical look spread across her face. "Didn't we have this arguement last night?" She cocked an eyebrow. "I won, I believe." She smiled and kissed him gently.

"Oh, there's no competition. I'm the winner." Gilraen smiled sweetly before turning the grouse once more and hugging him closely. She was happy to be in his arms, and she hoped he'd always be there.

"Right." A large bird flew overhead, dropping a note in down into the unfinished house. It fluttered to the ground, and I frowed, picking it up.

"Oh, hush," Gilraen rolled her eyes as the note fell down, and she stared at it quizically. "What does it say?"

I picked it up, and opened it. Large black handwriting was scrawled across it.

The elders call you to thier court, to discuss your unaccepted partnership.

Gilraen tip-toed behind him, and peeked over his shoulder at the note. When she read it, her mouth dropped. "How... how did they find out?" Gilraen asked nervously. "Are they going to take us away from each other?" Gilraen looked desperately into his eyes.

Gilraen looked over to Elendril and Valandril who were playing quietly together with the toys Gilraen had conjured up for them.
"After breakfast..." Gilraen said wearily. "Maybe we should go to the court..." fear struck her heart, and she prayed they wouldn't seperate them.

[ is the ending of this post going to be, like, sad? like the elders separate them and the elders take the kids and foster-family them? And Caldrion & Gilraen only see each other on their deathbeds? Or will it take a TOTALLY different direction? ]

(idk, maybe one of the elders is young and loves Gilraen, thus not allowing them to get married and takes her for himself, then Caladrin saves them after a few months, cuz he is in prison?)

I struggeled upward, Valandril strapped to my back. We were heading towards the elders court, and were almost there. The cold wind blew harshy against our faces, stinging at the touch. My long blonde hair whipped around my face, and I covered Valandrils head with a blanket, trying to keep him warm.

Gilraen was glad that Caldrion had chosen to carry Valandril, while she herself had Elendril, strapped to her back much like Valandril on Caldrion's. She grimaced as the wind hit her face, her hair flowing out behind her, and semi-protecting Elendril from the harsh winds, but the baby-carrying pack had a hood strapped on that kept him safer still. Gilraen looked upwards to see they were almost there. Why had the elders placed their court so high?

My hand finds Gilraens, and I stop, looking at the huge stone castle that stared cruelly down at us. I took in a breath, and was about to knock on the huge gate door, when it opened, and a large elf hurried us inside.

Gilraen smiled weakly as she laced her fingers through Caldrion's, and they walked into the castle. The doors were shut before she had time to protest, or even think about going back. Even if they'd left, the elders would've sought them out and brought them here by force. "Now what?" Gilraen whispered, leaning over towards Caldrion a bit.

"The elders wish to see you imedietly." The elf bowed, and led us though a narrow hallway, before knocking once on a huge wooden door. The lock slid open, and the doors opened.

Gilraen huddled closely to Caldrion as they entered the new room, with an oval-shaped table that went on each side of the room. In 12 chairs, sat 12 elders, and one of them was rather young. Gilraen wondered how he'd manage to become an elder... She bowed her head in respect to the elders before walking into the center of the room, where two oak chairs were, but she didn't sit down.

As soon as we entered the room, the young elders eyes lit up, seeing Gilraen. I felt uncomfortable, and wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her close to me. His eyes took her in up and down, a spark of lust filling them. "Welcome."

Gilraen noticed the young elder's look and she immediately averted her gaze, staring at the floor instead and remaining close to Caldrion. She looked up to address the head elder. "Why...why did you call us here, Elder?" Gilraen asked, finding it hard to keep herself from shuffling with the younger elder's gaze upon her.

He tapped his long fingers on the wooden desk. This seemed like his ordeal, as the other elders were just staring menacingly at us. "You were called, to present your-unaproved partnership before me. Us." He cleared his throat.

Gilraen gulped. "What... what is there to present, Elder? Do you disapprove of love?" Gilraen knew that probably wasn't the right thing to say, but she had let it slip before she could hold it back. She stared at him for a moment before dropping her gaze to her feet and shuffling closer to Caldrion.
