Gilraen sighed and turned to Caldrion. "What are we going to do? I can't let all those innocent females be raped and forced to bare children in the conditions they were in." She shivered. "You didn't see it, Caldrion... It was horrible." She burried her face in his chest, fresh tears sprouting from the corners of her eyes. "We have to help them."
Suddenly, Vorobir's smooth voice cut through the silence. "Ahh, I ssssee your little tribal friend here hassss lead ussss to you two. I wassss wondering where my babiessss had gotten off to." Vorobir growled and snaked his head into the house through its door.


[ good time to go to sleep, eh? Goodnight! ]

[Spritz]

I grabbed my spare bow from the wall, and threaded an arrow, pointing it at his chest. The elven leaders face went white, and he almost passed out, but then also drew his bow. I said a small enchantment, so the arrow would fly true when I realeased it. "What do you want!" I protectivly stepped in front of my family, my broad shoulders and torso blocking the cradel from his view.

Gilraen froze as she saw Vorobir. She moved immediately to the crib and stood in front of it.
When Vorobir saw Gilraen, he clicked his tongue happily. "I thought you were dead! I'm sure the malessss will be happy to know otherwisssse." Vorobir growled as he squeezed himself into the house, sending cracks through the door as he finally got his large frame through the door. "Now we can do thissss the easssy way or we can do thissss the hard way. I have fifteen otherssss outssside. And Blade.... well, he hassss been taken care of. He'ssss in the dungeonssss." Vorobir growled. "Now hand over Gilraen and the babiessss, Caldrion, and I'll let you live."

[Spritz]

I narrowed my eyes. "Never." I say, the word low in my throat and sounding like a threat. "No." I growl, my eyes sparking with a light blue fire. Every minute since we had been kidnapped, my magic had been growing stronger. My eyes no longer looked human, glowing with a searing intensity. The light relflected into the beasts eyes, glowing brightly and iluminating the room.

Gilraen stiffened and grabbed the tribe leader, pulling him over towards Caldrion. Gilraen instinctively reached into the crib and picked up both Valandril and Elendril, hugging them close to her chest and she hid slightly behind Caldrion. "Caldrion, what are we supposed to do? They have us basically surrounded. I can't let them have my babies..." Gilraen kissed her children's heads protectively.
"Fine, be like that," Vorobir wriggled out of the door and hissed, and the 15 other beasts began to wriggle their way into the house one by one, clawing at the three elves in the room.

[Spritz]

The arrow glowed with a terrific light, and I let it fly. It sunk directly into one of the beasts heart, and he fell over, dead. I pulled out another, enchanting each one and shooting, untill there were only a few beasts left. They fell as soon as the enchanted arrow pierced thier heart, and screamed in agony, then died. I glared at Vorobir. "Leave me and my family alone!" I say, and direct an arrow directly at him, threatening to shoot.

Gilraen hugged her children closer to her and backed up, scrunching her nose at the pungent odor the dying beasts were releasing. Gilraen hushed Elendril as the child's eyes fluttered open, looking around.
Vorobir hissed and swiped at Caldrion's face with his poisonous claws, then backed up. "I'll be back, Caldrion. And I'll make sure thosssse elderssss of yourssss have your wife and yoursssself burned!" Vorobir growled and ripped past the doorway, taking off, along with the other beasts in tow.

[Spritz]

As he leaves, my eyes dont loose thier light, I dont lower my bow. I then speak a few elven words, quietly. There was a thunderous roar, and I could hear them aproaching, thier hooves pounding on the ground.

Gilraen started hearing the thundering of hooves and she stepped back slightly, caldrion's behaviour worrying her. She hadn't seen him act like this before, and it was causing her to concern. Gilraen looked at caldrion and whispered slightly, "Caldrion what are you doing?"

[Spritz]

I turn and grab clothes and blankets out of the closet, packing them into bags. I then take a blanket and fashion it into a sling, and hand it to Gilraen. "Use if for the boys-" I say, then take whatever other belongings we would need for the journey. I hear a familiar whinny, and look through the door. The bay stallion stood there, waiting with his herd. I smile and pet him softly, then motion for Gilraen to come out. The stallions mate, a dapple grey mare walks up beside him.

Gilraen frowned and looked at her, "Are you sending me away, Caldrion? Or are you coming with me?" She asked rather quietly, looking at him beckon her. She frowned and walked outside of the house and looked at the herd of horses, still holding the children in her arms and the pack shouldered over her right arm, as she looked at the beautiful stallion and his mare.

[Spritz]

"Were going away." I say, and gesture to a roan mare in the back, telling her to take the Elven leader to safty. She imedietly trots over to him, snorting as he climbs on, then gallops away. She would be back. I help Gilraen onto the mares back, then mount the Stallion myself.
Well well, in trouble again are we?
The stallion flicks his ears back to me.

Gilraen grimaced. "But where will we go?" She asked, accepting Caldrion's help onto the mare's back. She situated Elendril and Valandril so she could easily hold both of them without fearing that they would fall. She watched the roan mare take away the leader, hoping he was going to the elders. She sighed and wondered what the stallion was saying to him (yes, by now, she'd figured he could talk to animals).

[Spritz]

Yes, old friend, yes. You know where to go. I patted his back, a signal that we were ready. "You will see." I say, and as the stallion walks forward, I reach out and grab Gilraens hand, the mare and stallon walking side by side. The rest of the herd followed behind us, thier hoofbeats lulling my slightly.

Gilraen's mind was elsewhere as the horses began moving and her fingers laced through Caldrion's. Her mind was on the children and the other women that were still trapped and forced to bare children. She sighed and looked over the other side of the horse, wondering where they were going. She wished that Caldrion would just tell them where they were going. She wished they could go back to the lake, and she remembered that one love-filled night on the beach and longed for those nights were they could do that once more.

[Spritz]

I turn and look at the house grow farther and farther away, leaving behind memories and happiness. I shudder as I think about the other elves. but then I see hundreds of elves screaming and running out of the woods behind us. The stallion bolts, and the mare gallops after him, the rest of the herd racing behind. I then see Vorobir behind them, along with others chasing the escaped elves.

Gilraen was suddenly lurched foward and she gripped onto Valandril and Elendril as the mare galloped forward, behind Caldrion's stallion. Gilraen let go of Caldrion's hand and laced her fingers in the mare's mane, looking behind them to see Vorobir. Gilraen clenched her eyes shut and flinched at the sound of the screaming elves.

[Spritz]

I slip off of the stallions back, and pull out my bow, running back through the galloping horses. I would catch them later, and a white stud stayed behind, waiting for me. I draw my bow and fire multiple arrows, and as soon as the beasts were dead, they would return to my quiver. I aimed at Vorobir, threatening to shoot in an instant.

[Guest]

Gilraen opened her eyes just as Caldrion jumped off of his horse. "Caldrion!" She yelled and nearly dropped Valandril, but managed to right herself just in time to keep herself from falling off, as well.
Vorobir stopped short and snorted, fanning his wings. He growled angrily and flew off, out of sight, but secretly only flew higher and stayed above the horse herd, diving down and grabbing the horse that Gilraen was on, and flying back off, turning directions and flying off, too high to shoot.
Gilraen screamed and nearly fell off the horse, but clung to the horse for dear life, and for the life of her children.

[Spritz]

I could tell there was someone behind me, and turn to see the grinning face of blade. "Hop on!" He says, and without hesitaion, jump on his back, trusting him for some odd reason. He opened his gigantic wings, and rocketed into the sky, after Vorobir and Gilraen. We gained on them quickly, while I readied an arrow and discussed our plan with him.
I will shoot, you need to be quick to catch them!

Ugh, even the horse?

Yes, the horse!

Gilraen screamed and burried her face in the mare's mane, clinging onto the children for dear life as she felt Vorobir dive slightly, and she looked behind her to see Caldrion on Blade. She wondered if Caldrion was being abducted or if he was working with Blade.
Vorobir suddenly growled and swerved around, fanning his large wings and ramming into Blade, his jaw snapping around Blade's neck, claws trying to find a loose chink in Blade's scales to hook his claws into.

[Spritz]

The horse swung as Vorobir lunged, and Blade was caught on the neck by Vorobirs sharp teeth. I use that moment to fire an arrow, the arrow firing straight and true into Vorobirs neck.Blade twists free, and lunged at him, teeth sinking into his neck, and claws ripping scales off of the monster. The beasts were not affected by eachothers poisen, but they were to the enchanted arrows. I let another fly.

Vorobir roared and momentarily recoiled, only to feel Blade's jaws clamp around his neck. He hissed at another arrow and wacked it aside with his barbed tail, then jabbed Blade with it just in front of Caldrion. Vorobir snarled and dropped Gilraen and the horse, but kept Blade from their rescue by using his newly freed claws to scrape viciously at his eyes.

[Spritz]

Blade hissed and freed himself, then plumeted below, catching the horse and its precious cargo. He then rocketed away, leaving Vorobir in the sky, alone. I quickly pulled out the arrow, and healed the wound it had caused. "Sorry." I say, and look below. "Are you ok down there?"

[Guest]

Vorobir snarled angrily and looked over his wounds before deciding he'd come back and find them later, and took off in the other direction.
Gilraen let out a scream and held the infants close to her bosom, only to feel that sudden dropping feeling go away. She looked up to see Caldrion and Blade and sighed in relief. She listened to his apology but completely disregarded it and replied, instead, to his other question. "I'm---we're---fine." Gilraen bowed her head over the mare's neck and patted her shoulder encouragingly.
