"He is your baby-" I say, then start to regret taking him. "I thought- I thought you wanted him..." I say, my voice trailing off and my eyes looking away from hers.

Gilraen dropped her gaze, suddenly feeling guilty for making him answer the question. She replied in a calm, motherly voice, "Caldrion, he may be my child, but he is not yours. I was forced to bare him. I do have feelings for him, but I don't want to put you in a position where you're caring for a child that isn't yours." Gilraen sighed, "Seeing him makes me feel unfaithful to you, when in truth I only did what I did to be faithful. I couldn't let Vorobir hurt you..."

[Spritz]

I close my eyes wearily, and push her words away. "No. Keep him and raise him. I understand." I say, meaning it. I did understand though, and even though I didnt really want the child, it was Gilraens, and I wouldnt take him away from her. I stand up, and walk briskly to my closet, opening it and looking for something waterproof.

Gilraen couldn't let Valandril get in the way of Caldrion's relationship with her, yet she felt as if he was. She tucked her knees close to her chest and rested her chin on her knees, letting out a distressed sigh, and stared at the ground in front of her feet. "I'm sorry, Caldrion..." she mouthed, knowing he couldn't hear or see her, given the fact he was turned in the other direciton.

[Spritz]

I turn to her, not knowing what I should do. "Should I go back?" I ask, utterly confused. Should I stay with my family, or leave them to be possibly recaptured and forced to breed other elves. The choice was clear, but I was still hesitant, as I hear the last screams of so many others that had died in that horrid place.

Gilraen looked up, her eyes glossy with tears that lay just beyond her sparkling orbs. "I don't want you to go back, Caldrion. What if you get caught? Vorobir won't be gracious this time." Gilraen scratched her arm nervously. "But if you must, and if it's for your family, you may go. But I don't want to be left alone taking care of two children. I couldn't do that on my own. Please..." Gilraen got up and went over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist and laying her head on his chest, "Choose wisely."

[Spritz]

I closed my eyes, tired and confused. Then I made the choice. "I will travel to my fathers village and see what has become of them. It is a two day trip, and will require you to be by yourself?" I say, my eyes opening, my hand running through her soft golden hair.

Gilraen stiffened when he stated his choice. She held back a sigh of disapproval and felt his hand run through her hair, but welcomed the touch openly. For some reason she wished they could be back by the lake, without the children, and be happily married. Gilraen suddenly remembered they weren't married. Her tribe would never accept her back, and would burn her and her house if she was ever to return as punishment for pregnancy outside of marriage. This time, Gilraen let out a sigh and nodded slightly, "I will be all right by myself." She muttered, too consumed with her negative thoughts to really care anymore.

[Spritz]

I quickly changed my mind, seeing that she needed me. "Nevermind. My father will have taken care of the tribe anyways, I am of no obligation to go." I say, meeting her in a soft kiss, but then I pull away sensing her disapointment and unease. "Whats the matter?" I ask, tilting her head up towards me.

[Guest]

Gilraen felt a rush of relief course through her as he changed his mind, but she didn't let it show upon her face. She was too worried about her old tribe and the fact she would never get in again. Gilraen was forced to look at Caldrion when he tilted her chin upwards, and she said quietly, "I'm just thinking about my old tribe. They'll kill me -- literally -- if I ever try and go back again, seeing as I already have two children and I'm not married."

[Spritz]

My face grows hard. "But it wasent your fault- not at all!" I say, frowning. "They cant blame you for that, can they?" I ask, hoping that that wasent the case. Though she hadnt done it on purpose, it was by law that I was to be killed.

[Guest]

Gilraen sighed and shrugged. "I can't help the law, Caldrion. If they find me, they have right to convict me, and burn me." Gilraen shivered at the thought of it, and hugged herself closer to him. "What would they do to you if they find out?" She asked, almost in a whisper.

[Spritz]

I clear my throat, not wanting to make this seem any worse than it already was. I sighed and pulled her closer to me, my fingers intwining with hers. "We need to move." I say simply. We needed to go to a different place, where no one could find and kill us both, even though it wasent our fault. Just then, the door banged open, and the leader of her tribe stood there, wet and panting.

Gilraen's head shot up as she whirled around to see who was at the door. Her heart caught in her throat when she realized who it was, and she backed up slightly, bumping into Caldrion's chest. Her eyes flickered to the babies in the crib, hoping that her tribe leader wouldn't try and hurt them. Gilraen's hand absentmindedly searched for Caldrion's, and when she found it, she laced her fingers through his, though it didn't keep her hand from shaking.

[Spritz]

"They- He- They-" He sputtered, and slammed the door, pointing to the direction of the place we had just escaped from. I stand protectivly in front if Gilraen. "Yes." I say solemly, blocking his view of the babies.

"What?" Gilraen asked quietly, pretty much talking to herself. She stood behind Caldrion obediently, suddenly feeling very sick. She grumbled and wrapped her arms around her stomach, looking at the crib that was hidden from her tribe leader's sight by Caldrion's muscluar figure.

[Spritz]

"He was breeding them!" He sputtered, his wet hair falling into his eyes. I nod solemly. "I know. We just escaped." I protectivly put my arm around Gilraens shoulders.

[Guest]

Gilraen sighed and watched the tribe leader babble like an idiot. Never before would she have thought to see him like this. Gilraen felt Caldrion's firm yet gentle grasp on her shoulders and she leaned back against him a bit, nervousness coursing through her veins, wondering what her tribe leader was going to do or say next. Gilraen almost wanted to ask if he had seen the birthing chambers, and just the thought made her shiver.

[Spritz]

I asked the Elf about the law, and he shook his head. "I dont know, this has never happened before. I will have to speak to the elders, it is up to them. And if it doesent come through, I will also die." He says, thinking about the female elves he was forced to impregnant.

[Guest]

Memories of that wretched birthing center nearly made Gilraen gag, and to keep herself from doing so, she turned around and rested her forehead against Caldrion's chest, taking deep breaths, and praying that the Elders wouldn't punish her for something she had no control over. She glanced to the side of her and saw her two sons lying there, sleeping peacefully, and it brought tears to her eyes to know they had no idea what danger the family was in.

[Spritz]

The leader nodded once, as if to settle something. "You are in no trouble from me, if that is what you are talking about-" he says, and then see the babies. "You were lucky to get them back. And to only have two." he says, words directed towards Gilraen.

[Guest]

Gilraen listened to his words and sighed, then looked up at Caldrion, silently thanking him for managing to get her children back safely. She turned around and regained her composure, looking at the tribal leader and asked, "What were they doing with the children? Where were they taking them?"

[Spritz]

He shook his head. "I dont know. No doubt speeding up the growth process and using them." He said, putting his face in his hands. He sighed. "I dont know what to do. If I go back, I will be killed. But meanwhile, the whole tribe is suffering."

[Guest]

Gilraen frowned and said, "We'll all be dead, Eywa." Gilraen called him one of the most revered names for the tribal leaders. "There's nothing we can do." Suddenly her thoughts turned to Diona. "Was Diona captured? Or did that sly devil manage to escape?" Gilraen worried for her friend. Diona had been infertile, being a healer, that was one quality she was required to have, and she wondered what those monsters did to infertile females.

[Spritz]

"I dont know. I was taken in my sleep, at night. I didnt see her though," He says, shaking his tired head.
