She stood there waiting for LAura or Dusty to wake up....

DUSTY'S DREAM....~ It was a stormy night, and he was all alone in the middle of a field. To the side of the field he saw his mares, grazing happily with each mare haivng their own foal, each mare independant. The lead mare wasn't Cara this time...Laura, my childhood friend had taken the place. He looked around, searching for Cara, but she was nowhere to be found. He told Laura he'd be right back, and galloped off to find the missing mare. When He found her, he was horrified at what he saw. Cara's body was nearly torn to shreds, her foal nearly ripped to shreds beside her. He looked down over the horrifying scene and it suddenly changed to another scene. Now he was standing alone on a rock, looking over nothing but grass. he had a strange sense of freedom, and was happy for once. His mane was flying in the wind, his tail behind him like a banner. He was pleased with his feeling. Again the scene changed...now he was standing back with Cara, each of the mares going in a different direction. Were they leaving? Why? Then Cara turned to him and looked at her hooves and set off in her own direction. Laura was the only one who remained. She looked at him with disgust before turning and leaving as well. Thunder boomed and lightning struck a nearby tree, catching it on fire. He tries to run away from the falling tree, but is trapped underneath it and burned to death.

Dusty~ Suddenly the whole dream went blank as I startled myself awake. My chest hurt terribly. Each breath came in uneven rasps. Each breath sent more blood spurting from the wound and I struggled to get up, but the pain in my chest prevented me.

~I open my eyes, laying there for a minute. I get up, sore. I see Dusty on the ground and gallop towards him, but tripping and falling again. I stand up, scared to take a step....

Dusty~ I shook my head violently, trying to get up. Blood splurted out of the fleshwound and onto the parched ground. My chest was stained red over the grey dappled coat.

[Faye]

The sounds of screams of pain and moans causing Cara to bolt towards the source of the sound.Her only thoughts were finding Dusty..her childhood friend and love.She blindly crashed through bushes and underbrush.Finally she came upon the scene.Laura,Dido,Nala and Dusty were there.She was about to yell at Dusty when she realized that he was injured.Nala was also injured...instintively Cara wanted to go over to Dusty first but decided to go and see Nala..perhaps form this tradgedy something good could come from it,a friendship.She trotted over to Nala,occasionally slipping on the wet rock."Rest...Dusty will be fine.You are doing him no good by hurting yourself."She murmured softly,though not feeling assured herself that Dusty would be fine.She suddenly felt an urge to nuzzle the mare or clean up her wounds but felt it would make Nala feel uncomfortable.
Atleast she reached Dusty..a frown on her lips."Oh my Dusty..my poor Dusty."She nickered,tears forming in her eyes.She was a bit fazed by the blood and curious about what had happened.Cautiously lowering her head Cara licked Dusty's muzzle,she knew it was unhealthy for a horse to lie down too long..but in his case perhaps it might be better if he rest.She was unsure if they would be able to get him to his hooves and have him stay that way.

(Wow...quite a problem we have here hehe.Love problems,health problems,anger issues,and bunch of other things =D .)

Dusty~ I breathed in deeply, nearly choking. The wound must be deeper than i first estimated. I turned my head to look at Cara, nodding towards Laura. "Take care of Laura first," I said, exhaling shakily. I tried to get up again, but fell. My breathing ceased a bit, helping stop the bloodflow, which was still dumping blood onto the ground and on my chest and the shoulder I was laying on.

She whimpered shaking her head, then she turned adn raced down the slope, triping on rocks and almost loosing her balance, she finally reached CAra,Duty, Nala, And Lauara.. She stopped at Caras side, and nuzzled her neck gently.... Then she lowered her muzzle to muzzle Dusty softly not hurting him... She then put ehr head up and looked at Laura and Nalas wounds...

I fall, very tried.I lay on my knees nd rest, taking breaths. "Dusty, I'm sorry." I say and go uncouisous again, but having no dreams, just dreaming what will happen to dusty.

Laura sighed and began to cry. "Dusty be free..." she whispered as he ran away. She turned her head and flicked her tail slowly trotting away.

Dusty~ About an hour later, the bleeding has finally stopped, but it has left me weak and tired and hungry. I didn't know if I could stand up. I rolled over to my side, still laying down, but now my head was off the ground. The pain shot through my chest and up my neck, making me neigh loudly. I snorted, trying to get balance underneath me. I managed to get onto my feet, but I knew if I made any sort of movement, I'd fall again. I stayed there, legs spread out like a newborn foal, head lowered to help keep my balance. I frowned. How the heck was i supposed to get out of this mess?

Luara felt an slight bit of frustration for her self for leaving someone that might give her an chance... she turned around and headed back to him, nudging his face and flicking her tail as to say, 'don't give up, I believe in you...'

Dusty~ My legs wabbled, and I knew I wouldn't get up the cliff-like-thing without the help of at least two mares.. I nickered to Cara.

Lura sighed as he called Cara. Wasn't she enough for him? A flashback came making her remember that he was with Cara... he would probably never give her the chance to be with him... he heart sank just thinking about it which made her fall to her knees with weakness of love sick.

Cara~

She looked over at Nala,who was unconscince,there was nothing that Cara could do so she returned,ever faithful to Dusty.Cara frowned."Don't loose faith love,I know you can do it."She nickered,I ran my warm tounge across his muzzle,in an attempt to encourage him..

Dusty~ I decided to try going up the hill alone.... I stumbled once, falling, but managing to get back up. the wound in my chest stung with all the dirt and dried blood in it. Once I reached the top, I plopped down and splayed out again, too weak to do anything else but breathe.

Cara~

I stumbled up the hill,I stood beside the fallen Dusty and nuzzled him."Just rest love,rest until you are ready for the journey back to the herd."She nickered..

Dusty~ I rolled over so I was laying on my legs and snorted. "What herd?" I asked, grinding my teeth.

Lura annoyingly rolled her eyes and flicked her tail. "Cara, I need to have a word with you," she said weakly giving an huge sigh... remembering the times they had together... good times, bad. Then, Lura's love and jealousy took over and to Lura, Cara was her enemy.

Dusty~ I was in a bad mood now. I felt my strength renewing itself, and I stood up with considerable ease, and began to graze until I felt like I had enough strength to go down to the river and bathe, cleaning out my wound. I trotted into the water and got where my hooves still touched the bottom, but that water reached over the wound, and I washed it, using a leaf to rub it clean. Pretty pathetic, I thought...

Cara~

"Sure,Okay."I nickered walking over to Laura.I smiled and watched Dusty regain his strength and go get a bath,with a friendly smile she turned back to Laura.

Dusty~ Once I finish cleaning out the wound, i walk out of the water, now completely refreshed, and go to graze while the two mares talk.

Lura sighed annoyingly then turned her gaze deadly at Cara. "I'm in love with your mate," she whispers to only where Cara could hear. "And I have an feeling you want me to feel hurt Cara, I thought we were friends!" she snapped evily.

Cara~

I shook my head in disbelief."Fine,You can have him,since you want him soo badly and you want to lose our friendship and lie to me!"I bellowed. I loved Dusty also,very much. "But I'm leaving."I wheeled around breaking into a gallop.I raced through the trees,but before I left I called over my shoulder."I hope you have fun with your new backstabbing mate."I called over my shoulder..

Within moments I was gone from sight,smell and hearing range..

Lura looked at her with piercing eyes. "Fine then leave," she murmured and flicked her tail heading for Dusty giving him an soft nuzzle.... but then she stopped feeling slightly bad but she loved Dusty...
