Dusty~ Alone and cold from the downpour of rain, I rear just as lightning illuminates the sky, sending the eletric charges ripling through the air. I half-rear three more times, stomping the ground angrily. My knee gives out and I tumble to the ground, and I lay there, neck outstretched, cold, heartbroken and trying to make sense of how to bring the mares together. I snorted as my breathing became thinner yet easier. It was going to be a long night...

Laura came to a meadow and looked around wearliy. Soon, she spots an horse that lie down. Her eyes sparkle onto his body as she realizes it's Dusty. She tries to push herself away, but she couldn't. Slowly she started singing tattoo loud enough for him to hear. "No matter what you say about love... I keep comin back for more... put my head in the fire -, sooner or later, I get what i'm askin for.... no matter what you say about life, I learn everytime I bleed...." I sung.

Dusty~ I flicked my ears over to the sound of the singing, but I was too broken to care. I snorted, letting out a huge sigh. The pain just wouldnt go away, would it? I slammed my head against the ground again and neighed loudly...

Dusty~ I snorted, wondering where Cara was... Then I remembered how I had run away. Cara and the herd would come find me by themselves. I let a tear roll down my cheek, wondering who was singing. The thunder was blocking out the sound, so I couldn't clearly hear who was singing. I opened my mouth to say something, but no words came out, so instead I remained lying there, the rain getting harder.

Laura sighs. "I know it's hard and your not getting what you want," I stalk nearer to him and rest my head down. "And i`m sorry for that." The rain booms harder.

Dusty~ Something in the comment offended me, and I snorted and got up. I turned around to see who this vile creature was. When I saw who it was, I relaxed, my ears slowly pricking forward. "Laura," I snorted. I shook my head and turned away from her. "You have no idea..." I snorted, flicking my tail. I longed to take advantage of me and Laura alone together, but I kept my thoughts to myself, my eyes off the mare. I had Cara, anyways, right? I shook my head, displeased with my thoughts..

Cara watched warily as Dusty walked away,her eyes never left the spot where his figure dissappeared into the forest.So now the remaining mares were Leah,Maya,Dido Savvy?Right.Easy enough..hopefully.Where was Dusty going,fear struck Cara like a lightning bolt..but she had to stay and watch the herd.Moments later the sky darkened and heavy droplets of rain began to fall..falling slowly and rhythmically at first.But soon it came down fast and stung her skin.Her surroundings were swallowed up by darkness.West,east,north and south were unknown directions.Cara was sure she wasn't alone..the others mares were here too..somewhere.


"Dusty..Please return safely,and always carry the thought that I love you."She whispered..though knowing no one would get the message..

Laura shakes her head and dropped it low. "You can't let them take advantage of you Dusty, you've wanted to be leader of a herd so long...." Laura smiled going back to the memos. "Remember.... the time when you.... and..... I talked about being leaders when we were little & we play fighted over it then end up.... touching noses?" she walked over by his side

Dusty~ The memories shattered my heart into a million peices. "I do..." I said softly, so softly I could barely hear myself. I let a tear roll down my cheek. "But I've got a herd to take care of."

Laura pinned her ears to her cranium slowly frowning. "I know. I've always been trying to win your heart," a tear rolled down her face. "But I never seemed to get it."

Cara paced silently around the clearing..her nerves building up.Dusty hadn't even had a reason for leaving..but he did it anyways.Droplets of water streaked down her coat,making small mud puddles on the ground..
Cara pinned her ears against her skull in determination..she would have to go find Dusty.The mares would be jsut fine here..

Dusty~ "Maybe....maybe it's because I'm dedicated to somebody else, if I love them or not," I snorted, taking a step away from Lauren.

Angel: I watch Dusty leave then look around at the remaining mares. The herd was falling apart and if Dusty didn't come back soon there would be no herd left. I look around, the heavy rain making my mane and tail stick to my multicolored body then walk over to a nearby oak tree to get out of the rain.

Dusty~ "Sometimes life isn't what we ask for. Most of the time, it's the exact opposite. And that's what's happening here, Laura....I have no future with that herd. You can go back and tell them this time i'm not coming back... and that Cara is in charge of them. They must listen to her, for it's my last wish....I dont know how much longer you'll be able to see me." I was hinting towards a hidden meaning, as I began in a slow trot to get away, turning into a gallop, running from my past...the present....and the future.

SHe watced Dusty run off, she neighed for him to come back and she took off toward him, her speed increased and her masculine built body stopped him from going any further... " Stop! What do you mean you dont have a future in this herd?!" I said and stomped my hoove, my lip dawn back in a snarl.. and i looked at him hororified from what he siad....

Dusty~ I didnt even stop to listen. I reached the edge of a small cliff, sliding to a hault just before I fell over the edge to near certain doom. I looked over the edge tentatively.....was I really going to...? I had to consider it a moment before making my final decision.

I see what happens, and i get sad It's all my fualt, I have to apoligize!l I canter then gallop after dusty, getting wet and the stinging of the rain. I get in front of him and talk to him, breathing heavily. "I'm so sorry dusty, my emotions got the best of me. You are a great leader, it's me, not you. DOn't blame yourself for what i did. Can you forgi-" Befoe I can finish I step on a tree root and fall on my chest. Sliding 5 feet with the mud. I was knocked out my breathing panting heavily but I was uncousious. I had dreams of my own mate, being the leader and turning it to Leah. My own male to protect me and my foals. The vision goes dark and i dream darkness.

She raced toward him, Dido looked at Laura on the ground, she shoke her head and flicekd her tail for Dusty to not move an inch forward to him death....

Dusty~ I was confused, torn in between helping her and doing the same to myself. Instead, I looked across at the other side, and backed up, jumping. I made it to the other side -- almost -- but my chest slammed into the rock, creating a huge cut. I feel, neighing loudly before I hit the ground, becoming unconscience...
