I watch him leave, apollo nudges me I smile " boys these days are so weird apollo" I say before I kiss him good night and head up to the house. Once I get in the house I head straight up to my room to take a quick shpwer then I put on a t shirt and pink pj shorts then I sit in my bay window and watch the moon for alittle bit before drifting off to my dream world

i had just gone to bed in my clothes not really caring

i woke early in the morning and just lay on my bed for a while before i got ready adnheaded for the mare barn

I wake up as I hear footsteps in the house I sit up in my bed stretch then put on a pair of faded bootcut jeans and a emerld (sp?) Green v neck. I look in the mirro and shake my hair I had desided to let it go wavy today I put my boots and a spray of perfume on before heading down stairs to grsb something to eat then I head to the stalions barn

I fed all of the mares and cleaned the stalls before i gave them fresh water and then settled myself in Cali's stall

I feed and waterd the stallions and cleaned their stalls, it was a nice day so I put the stallions into their indiviual pastures. As I was walking apollo out to his pasture I see my grandfathers truck pull into the drive way I wave to him and my grandmother, my grandfather smiled and honkd his train horn I quickly put apollo in his pasture then ran over to my grandfather " pop pop its good to have you back did you find any horses" I ask after I give him a big hug

Rodney (grandfather)
I smile as I hug my grand daughter " I. Found a couple mares with good bloodlines" I look around at my ranch/ stable "it looks like someone is doing a good job by themself" I say with a wink

Charlotte
"Actually besides our normal groom I had help from someone else" I say as I take my grandfather over to the mares barn to meet tia

Lilith (grandmother)
"Ill be in the house making lunch for you and your friend" I yell as they walk off to the mares barn

Charlotte
"Tia" I call as we walk into the mares barn
Rodney
"Oh so it was one of your girlfrineds" I say as I hear the name she calls

I walked out followed by Cali "Actually i'm a boy, hey" I said and waved "Tai is my nickname, my full name is Taima and this is my mare Cali or California Trouble" I said pointing to the dun mare behind me

I smiled as tia came out with cali

" oh sorry about that son" I say as I stretch my hand out for him to shake " charlie why don't you go help your gandmal with lunch"
Charlotte
I playfully role my eyes. " alright pop pop I will just be nice to tia will ya" I say with a lautgh before heading up to the house
Rodney
I smile at charlie then turn back to tia" nice mare" I say as I look cali or then say " tia let me ask you something ill get straight to the point"

"umm, ok and thank you" I said nodding ymhead slightly and Cali looked to the old man her ears pricked as she lay her head on my shoulder

" do you find my grand daughter attractive" I say as I cross my arms " cause from what I've heard her talking to her grandmother she kindof has a soft spot for you" I lean on the stall door of a dappled palomino mare named dixie

"hmm, she is good looking but i think of her as more of a freind if anything" i said thinking about it

" well that's good to no" I say as I stand up " id rather her like you then that stupid muscle head she used to like"

"we ran into himlast night an i havfe to agree with you, i heard you outside talking about some mares with good backrounds... Me and Cali do barrel raceing" I said proudly as Cali ruffled through my hair

" I told him if he ever showd up around here id shoot him, did she tell you he try to beat her" I say almost shaking with anger then I cool down and say " yah I got two mare and a filly from a private breeder, I could tell your mare was a racer just looking at her" I smile " I bet you've met apollo charlies stallion, he's the pride and joy of this ranch if you want I don't think charlie would mind breeding your mare to him during our next breeding season if you want"

"that isn't for me to decide.. Cali gets tp pick i'm afraid...and no she never told me but he did hurt her when we were at the party... i didn't like him either to be honest"

" that's fine she can pick from our many stallions we have here " I let my temper simer (sp?) As I take in the words he says about charlie " keep him away from her while your here please"

"ok sure.. if i don't i'm sure Apollo or Cali will" I said "And Cali what do you think about that offer?" She pulled her head up and i chuckled "She'll take a look later... very stubborn and prideful mare but such a sweety" I said and she nuzzled me "And rather attacted to me" "i will gladly keep him away for you... i'm sorry i don't think i caught your name"

I smile at calli and gently pat her neck " the names rodney" I say as I stretch my hand out to him to shake as were shaking charlie calls that lunch is ready " well we better go head up and eat"

"Yeah, Cali come on" I said and lead her into her stall before follwoing him back to the house

As we reach the front porch my wife and charlie had set up a little table with four chairs and four large glasses out home made ice tea. As we sit down charlie and lily my wife bring out four blt sandwiches and some chips with a home made apple pie " looks good ladyies I say as I sit next to my wife

I smile and site down next to my grandfather acroos from my grandmother.

Lily
I gently kiss my husband as I set some mac n cheese on the table

" let's pray" I say as we all sit down I take my wifes and charlies hand as we always held hands during prayer

I stick my hand out to tai to hold where as my grandmother just took his hand I show hin a gentle smile

I took their hands not really use to praying before but just did what i was told
